  1. Guys

I'm gonna have to rain on your parade here.

I know we're all curious about his family. Knowing more stuff about him makes us feel closer to him, I understand that, but really, like his sexuality, shouldn't we HELP HIM keep his family life private too?

I understand that the creator of this thread is relatively new, and you don't know entirely much of this forum so I completely understand your perspective, but (I know everyone is gonna hate me here so please forgive me) everyone else should know better. Apart from the one or two that have mildly said they don't completely agree with what's been going on here, I feel someone needs to take a stand.

    I wouldn't like it if people were fishing out my family's names/pictures/information. I wouldn't feel...safe.

I know none of you mean to do any harm (I'm sorry if any of you feel you're being patronised here, I don't mean to patronise anyone) but there's a limit on what should be said/found out.

I mean, really, all we SHOULD know is what Mika has said in interviews. All the other add info...to me it just sounds kinda...scary.

Agree...or disagree. Your opinion is after all your opinion. This is just mine.

I Agree Your right and i'm going to stop asking becasue it is scary. I though that the first time someone posted all the family members names. I told my sister that and she couldn't understand why i said that. But You've just explained it very well. Thank you!

  2. If Mika was my close personal friend, I would slap him upside his curly head for not selling more merchandise at his concerts! He could make a fortune that way! :bleh:

Ok, maybe not. If we were pals, I'm sure I'd follow his career pretty closely, and buy mags with his face on it and whatnot. I was tempted to do that for Blake Lewis from American Idol, because I knew him when I was in college. Sadly, I didn't have the gumption, or the money.

OMGS, i wouldn't slap him but i would have a long chat to encourage him to talk to his managers. Really he would make a fortune. But maybe its because the money isn't there yet. I mean his ticket prices are some of the cheapest I've seen so far.

  3. Hmm... don't blame it all on him personally. I think the management is playing a huge part in it.

True! And for the quote about him not canceling any gigs in London, if its true, then its probably because he lives there. I think maybe that plays a big part(forgive my sarcasm). Remember he's not a old artist he's new artist and money, time, and where you play your gigs is a huge thing when your starting out.

It really has to be at the discretion of the Label he's with. They want more than us for him to be successful. It's their money thats giving Mika the platform to even come out and do what he's doing, and I'm sure they want it all back too(and then come). Remember, everything they are doing for Mika is to receive the biggest result in Mika's career. They signed him when nobody else did, because they think he's great and marketable. So give them all a chance to do what they know how to do best. Fan are important but acquiring more fans are a little more important to reach tantamount success. I think thats what we all are hoping for, right?

  4. i think ring ring is wonderfull :) but i love SITM.... i think most ppl i know LOVE this song.... its like in the top fave... :)

it sure is AMAZING live :)

I AGREE. My cousin was listening to my mp3 player the other day and thats the first song she heard and immediately loved it. Of course then i should her the Glastonbury video of Big Girl on Youtube and now we have another fan.

  5. I guess for me I've liked many bands/celebrities in the past but as far as Mika goes, I see him as an artist. He's not just a face, name, body or a five octave sining voice to me. He's a person who had dreams he wanted to accomplish and is accomplishing that. That to me makes him just like us. I don't have a desktop with Mika or posters on my wall and more than likely never will. I never had them of other people i liked as well unless i truly felt they were untouchable. I don't know how to be a"crazy obsessed fan" and I'm not looking to learn. I like how I'm down to earth about........well, Mika. I can't say I've been about everyone in the past.

I think Mika is amazing just like the next fan but am i obsessed? NO! I'm consumed with trying to meet him and hoping to talk to him and get a few of my questions answered(not the gay thing, I've already got an answer i can except). I totally disagree with the thought that you can't be friends if your a fan. I guess if your a obsessed fan, then yes, thats very likely but if you admire and respect him as a person with friends, family, a private like faults, bad habits and probably don't think that everything he does or says is right or just amazing, then maybe there's some hope for you yet.

I remember when i met him in Atlanta and there were crowds of people around him they were like winning and trying to get picture with him after he said he only had like 10 mins before he had to go. I was able to give him a shirts and a picture of me with an encouraging message on it, and i though to myself," it feels good not to take from someone who is already giving so much to the people." Its an amazing feeling. But after standing back and watching him with other fans i thought," i guess it doesn't hurt to get and autograph or even a picture. So i had him sign my ticket and then helped my friend get her camera signed. But i was most upset at myself when i tried to take a picture of him after he had just signed someone else ticket and flashed it right in his face. That made me feel bad because i never want someone to do that to me, so why would i do that to someone else? From then on i decide thats how I'm going to treat people(in general),no matter how crazy things get. So that's been my resolve. I've got to treat people how I'd like to be treated. Meaning, I've got to constantly change my perspective to be sensitive to every persons situation in life. its very difficult but very important.

I hope this makes sense? this is the most i think I've written on any tread so far.

  6. CYNTHIA

    Gender: Feminine

    Usage: English, Greek Mythology (Latinized)

    Pronounced: SIN-thee-a (English) [key]

Latinized form of Greek Κυνθια (Kynthia) which means "woman from Kynthos". This was an epithet of the Greek moon goddess Artemis, given because Kynthos was the mountain on Delos on which she and her twin brother Apollo were born
