  1. This is my first time making the first page. I usually can't compete with you postwhores.
  2. Hey, Jen! It's good to hear from you. You're so softcore.
  3. I took the India trip "badly" because I was told to whine as much as possible to make it seem as legitimate as possible. With the Beijing one I'm starting to become apathetic towards his poor management decisions. It's a bad sign for Mika when his fans start to expect him to cancel with a bullsh!t excuse then flaunt it a few days later in another country. I'm not holding my breath waiting for an Aussie tour anymore, he'll come when he does and if I meet him at all I'll let him know what sh!tty management he has (unless I'm on a post-gig high then I may not be answerable for any fangurly actions. ) Sounds about right. When I have exams I'm supposed to be on here least yet that's when I'm on here most to avoid studying.
  4. Is that another joke or is he really going to Lebanon? I can never tell with you peeps. *coughIndiacough* All this talk of hummus is making me crave Lebanese food again. Mmmm.
  5. People Who Notice Minor Details In Photos Because They Have Too Much Time On Their Hands Anonymous sounds catchy.
  6. Newsflash ***************** Kelz has had a power outage and bids FY&GN.
  7. I agree with everything that Jack, Yop and Em have said. Talking about difficult, complex and frightening topics doesn't make a person disturbed. He isn't promoting anything, he's illustrating a scenario from different perspectives without judgement. To be honest, this song scares me. Seriously. The first time I actually listened to it was a couple of days ago (I know, blasphemous) when I was listening to my MP3 player while walking home alone after dark and it really creeped me out. He hands down did a brilliant job. That's how it's supposed to be, anything less would be unrealistic. He has a great grasp on evoking particular emotions through his music and lyrics.
  8. I noticed the probably-made-in-china-and-tested-on-animals blush in this photo before you even mentioned it: When I'm noticing things like that I know that I'm spending too much time here again. Correction: your unsolicited post about the blog that you "found" with photos of Mika doing yoga in Rishikesh, India made me cry tears of laughter. I literally couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes when I read it and got dirty looks from everyone in the library I was in at the time.
  9. As in that you never make people laugh or as in that I'm a humourless b*tch?
  10. I, for one, wasn't saying that I'm personally protesting against China's human rights policy, indeed if I did I would as you have described not support China commercially either. I was saying that other people may view any visit to China by a public figure at the present time as a statement. But like we said earlier, he's so small time I doubt anyone will notice or even if they do whether they'll care.
  11. If that were the case we'd have a delusional world that sees through rose tinted glasses.
  12. Really? Was I drunk at the time? Because I have no recollection of it. I tried to catch a train but the duststorm said
  13. He was, however, also visiting his sister. But as someone pointed out earlier: the personal side of the trip and the award-giving/PA side of the trip are two separate things. He's still made an indirect statement of sorts. But again as someone else pointed out earlier: no one's really gonna realise (or care if they do).
  14. That's a fair point. As a public figure whether he intends it to or not anything he chooses to do/say or not do/say conveys a message. Even more so when it comes to matters such as China where people are on edge and interpret everything as either a symbolic form of protest or sign of support.
  15. I knew it was a bad idea to visit this thread. *runs out fast*
  16. Touche. I won't make any comment about his wealth.
  17. In the world of a man who refuses to discuss anything remotely controversial, yes. He's the human equivalent of Switzerland.
  18. The Taj Mahal in the middle of the sea, wiz hat sand castles... what else have I missed lately?
  19. The mental image almost made me piss myself with laughter. But shhh, I'm not really here. I'm only visiting a few threads, not keeping up with the MFC as a whole. I never understood the train jokes. What's the backstory?
  20. Don't flatter yourself honey, I came back to make sarcastic comments about Mika being in Beijing instead of recording his next album. Welcome back, vally.
  21. "I'm going to make a public appearance in a country that violates human rights? Pffft, who cares as long as my hair looks good."
