It is an idea to start a Queen convention thread, seeing as how many people are into Queen here.

Good morning folks, back after my refreshing Queenie week-end. Missed you all, what have I missed here...apart from 146 pages on a new thread!

Leona, I keep forgetting to aknowledge you, sorry. It's hard to write when listening to Mika. I find it impossible, I always want to sing along. You have to do what your conscience will allow.....

Deb, a really great interview, well done. I thoroughly enjoyed reading thru that. I was right in saying you are a very intelligent lady.... it shines thru in your questioning.

Robi, I agree, it would be great if a Mika convention became reality. I think he needs to be a bit more established as an artist yet though. That's my personal opinion.

Queen started holding conventions 15 years after they started. Plenty of footage, music and giveaways etc.

I think it would be a great 1st Mika convention if we got hold of Andy fluffington and let him make us sit thru ALL 5,000 hrs of video he's shot!

We have a personally recorded message from Brian and Roger at the start of Fri eve. then you can take choice in whatever event is layed on for your delight. It is held in a holiday complex called Pontins (similar to Butlins Robi) We all take over before the holiday season kicks off.

We have fancy dress and signed photos as prizes, disco's, live bands, raffle charity auction of Queen memorabillia. Peter freestone is going to be there this weekend answering all questions we put to him. Mike Moran, Patti Russo, and some great Queen related people. It's a real blast for any Queen fan.

Oh but I WILL miss you all and MFC Wendi. It will feel strange without chatting on here. I hope you will keep me updated withtexts???

Robi, of course you can ask anything you want. Queen is my passion and having been a fan for 32 years, I know about them pretty well!

Yes been going for years, how did you guess! Not all 23 though sadly. It's down In brean Sands, Somerset. A stones throw from Weston Super Mare. Bris sister still lives there and I will be calling in to get a toucan figurine I won on ebay. (She picked it up from Bristol for me)

 

It's from Fri til Monday and nothing but Queen Queen Queen for me. I;ll be in my element.

Oh it doesn't look like that hotel reviews very well now! St. Anton court it was also known as. Sounds like it's gone down hill!

I can recommend Malta SL. We had a lovely time, hired a car, went to Popeye Village. Nice beaches and stunning sunsets. It was about 9yrs since we went there I think. Bugibba we stayed at. Stanton court hotel, very nice.

Jems, your new hair do sounds lovely. I'm sure it looks great. Love to see a pic.

Sarahlou, we have been to Malta, it was lovely. Kath advised right though, watch the drivers, they're mental! Cost of eating out is very similar to here we found. Do you know where you are going in Malta?

Vicky, decorating virtually donethanks. Thye are coming in tomorrow to put the feature wall, wallpaper up and glossing the paintwork. Then we need to get everything put back! (Going to the Queen convention this weekend though.)

Hi pooh, didn't mean to ignore you. I think the convention idea has been put on the back burner for a while. I agree though, with A.Twrs the rides might be too tempting to some.
