  1. Amazing Grace - the life story of William Willberforce!! I was not that sure

I wanted to see it, but Chris did so..........................:mf_rosetinted:Then his dvd player packed in!!!! :roftl:

 I love that movie! It's beautiful. I cry at the end every time.

And having Ioan Gruffud on-screen for the whole film makes it really worthwhile. :das:

  2. That infomercial was pretty hilarious, Oakie Doke. The cat was really cute! :wub2:

Don't be scared. Just do what you can. Do the teachers who are setting homework know you have exams to study for? They might be willing to give you an extension.

Umm, well most of the homework is actually in preparation for the exams so it's probably a good idea for me to do it. But my main problem was a huge English Extension assignment to write an "imaginative composition" with a visual representation. But I handed that in yesterday. So everything is seeming a little more manageable now. :thumb_yello:

  3. I wouldn't go that far :naughty: I actually have no idea how I did. I was more focused on not fainting. Not only were they pretty much the best musicians ever, but they were all incredibly good looking...

It seems to me that most brilliant male musicians are good-looking. :naughty:

*is reminded of the jazz musician guy who she hasn't seen for a while because he's in Canberra, but is hoping that he comes to the Deb as his brother is partnering somebody*

  4. I watched it for the third time last week - harrowing, but such a

    powerful film!! :thumb_yello:

Yes, that's a good word for it. Harrowing..

It's just so hard to comprehend that those things actually happened.

    Hi Aussies :bye:

I just got up and sang onstage with the best saxophonist under 21 in the world.

Not to mention the most f*cking inCREDIBLE jazz quintet that I have ever, ever heard. EVER. :stretcher:

 That's amazing! You must be brilliant..

    Argh, I'm jealous. :naughty:

  5. Seeker, WOW! THAT'S SO AWESOME!

    What's Deb? I wanna seeeee!!!

I heard he was the youngest seeker in about a century!

The Debutante Ball. You know, where all the girls wear white dresses and are presented to society?

    :biggrin2: isn't new...it's always been there :teehee:

Yes, but it's back in the side box! :biggrin2:

  6. Hello all!

I just got home from choosing a Deb dress. It is pretty. :wub2:

Hopefully all is well... I asked mum if I should be worried and she said no...

Then again, she said it probably was already cancerous which made me freak out a bit :sneaky2:...

I hope everything turns out well. :thumb_yello:

  7. Glad you enjoyed the film SD. I want to see "State of Play" with Russell Crowe, which had got good reviews. The BBC series it was based on was superb, so I hope the film will be as good.

Oh yes, I think I've seen a couple of scenes of that. It looks very interesting.

  8. As reported by VH1 Classic Radio News:

    1 May 09

Next month, Paul Rodgers and the rest of Bad Company will reunite for a tour. The trek, however, is just ten dates, leading many to question why it is so short. Is Paul afraid to travel for fear of catching the Swine Flu? He explained the real reason behind the smaller trek.

“Well, you know, I’ve travelled and I’m not worried about stuff like that. I usually find, to be honest with you, that most of those things are exaggerated way out of proportion. You know, I’m not afraid to travel, it’s just I want to be able to focus more on waking up in one place and working on music, I think really, and that’s really the reason. I think next year I’ll probably be touring my brains out.”

The next time Rodgers tours, it probably won’t be with Queen. After spending a lot of time with them the past couple years, it seems he’s amicable parted ways with the legendary group.

“Well, you know, we did a world tour, we did a second tour of Europe and the Far East and Eastern Europe and we did a studio album and I think we’re kind of leaving it there gently. It’s out there for us to do things in the future if there’s something, a huge charity say like Nelson Mandela, I’m always open to that, but I think we are pretty much done.”

Yes.. I read that and nearly cried. I want to see them so badly! :tears:

  9. Hello all! Thank goodness it's the weekend! :groovy:

The first week back at school was pretty good. Today I was talking to :das: and he's already done 3000 words on his english extension story and I haven't even started!

Today we had the cross country during second period. I walked the whole way. :naughty:

I had a HUGE crush on my music teacher!!

Found out years later he had been suspended for having an

affair with one of the senior girls!! :tears:

I will never forget how my stomach seemed to flip when I saw

him - and I really thought I was in love!! And I still do!! :bleh:

Haha, I had/have a bit of a crush on my music teacher from last year but he changed schools (although I still see him around the town at music festivals, etc). He's not exactly good looking but he's a brilliant musician and one of the kindest people I've ever met. I think it's more of a great respect for him than a crush.. but if he was my age! :naughty:
