  1. I'm considering bringing my netbook, if I can find free WiFi somewhere it will be handy, if not it will be a dead weight:naughty:

I believe most Maccas' have free WiFi now. =]

Whether or not I bring mine all depends on whether I can convince the parents to assist me in purchasing a new one relatively soon. (Apparently my old one isn't worth fixing for what I need it to do. =\)

  2. Hey, I'm a pretty noob in this, since I got my keyboard a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it's an odd question, but I really don't know it!

E-A-F#m-B < What does the F#m mean? Is it a chord with the F#? I don't know what majors are? :boxed:

C-F-Dm-G < Is that a D chord? When I press the D chord, I can really hear a similarity with the real song! Is this the right way?

Haha, don't worry, we all have to start somewhere. =]

F#m means it's a chord played with F# as the first note in the triad (or group of three notes that make up the chord.) However, the 'm' means that it's a minor chord, and so you drop the middle note of the major triad down one semitone (or one key on your keyboard) in order to achieve a minor chord.

Dm is a D chord, but you're probably playing D major, instead of the minor. If you drop the middle note from the F# to the F, it will become a minor chord.

    So, in short:

    F#m- you play the F#, A and C# keys,

    Dm- You play D, F and A.

    Hopefully that helps. =]

  3. Hi all, big day for me!

    It's QCS day! =D

(QCS is that big nasty test that goes for two days and pretty much determines your and the rest of your year cohort's futures...)

Everyone's freaking out. I don't know why, it's the one test you can't study for!

OMG I finally just finished my WAG video!!! FINALLY :P

Might have to wait a few days til i can upload it......running at dial-up speed til early september :(

    Hows everyone elses going??

Ah, exceeded your quota! I hate that! :sneaky2:

I don't know... I chickened out... and I think EJ is still working on hers...

Yeah, I've been kinda busy with school... I will get it done in the next 20 days, though. :naughty:

Hey all ive uploaded my WAG video to youtube......here it is! :

    :naughty:

From what I've read, it sounds good! I'll watch it when I get home. =]

Hello everyone! I've decided that I will go for school captain. Even if I don't win I think it will be a good thing to have a go at. Today the deputy headmaster told us that we have to give a 1.5-2 minute speech at the school assembly on Wednesday (short notice!). I've just finished writing mine, and I think it's alright. Nothing amazing, but it's all I can think of! :naughty:

Good job! I'm sure you'll do fine! =]

    Good luck!!!

I'm sure you'll be fine... these things are more about who would be better as captain than a popularity contest... mostly...

That's why I didn't go for school captain this year... Shame though, because I've since found out that there's a fair bit of teacher input into the candidates/voting.

  4. So I was just browsing the ARIA chart site (as you do), and came across yet another mention for Mika in 'Chartifacts'.

    -----

    WE ARE GOLDEN - Mika

    No.13

The first single to be taken from Mika’s forthcoming second album, The Boy Who Knew Too Much, We Are Golden returns the flamboyant singer to the top 20 after tasting previous success with Grace Kelly (No.2 Apr ’07), Love Today (No.3 Aug ’07) and Happy Ending (No.7 Dec. ’07). The new album, which is released in early September, was originally also meant to take its name from this track. However, Mika decided to change it, stating that he wanted “something a little more ridiculous”.

View it in it's full glory here

And I know it'll be gone by Sunday, when the site updates, so I took a screenshot, which you can view here

  5. Hi all, how are we?

The official 'end of school' countdown has begun. We're at 9 weeks now.

Billy (the joey) is doing heaps better, and is currently trying to claw my keyboard. Zoe, (the female joey), on the other hand, is trying to get out of her pouch and sit on my keyboard/get in with Billy. Haha, she's such a handful compared to him!

In other news, one of my wisdom teeth is starting to come through. The problem is that I'm under the impression that I don't have enough room for it. =\ You see, I have abnormally large teeth, and have already had 6 surgically removed (several of which were adult teeth) when I was 9, and another two adult teeth removed when I was 11. Even now, there's not much room in my mouth. So naturally, it's quite painful! :sneaky2:

Apparently it is released earlier in Japan too

I thought we (Aus) were getting it early as well...

Finally is a perfect word, :aah:

    ....my mommy.:teehee::blush-anim-cl:

Aw, hope you and your mommy have a great time! (BTW, I love your new sig! =])

    Hi ! :bye:

    Hi! :bye:

  6. G'day EJ - how's the joey now?

He's heaps better! It was quite a miracle that he pulled through. According to the other carer, she'd never seen one come back from the symptoms he was showing.

I don't care what anyone thinks, :naughty:

I think I'm going to go run around the town naked now,

    BYE!

Haha, I don't blame you. I'm sure I wouldn't be quite so composed myself if I were in your position! =P

    Have fun with that! :roftl:

Good news about Billy! :biggrin2: That is so cool that your mum is a wildlife carer, Margaret once did a course to become a wildlife carer but then nothing came of it.

You sound like a total nightmare :roftl:

Today between 5-6pm my home phone line is being connected by Telstra! And then I can call the internet company and get an internet connection!

It was so crap, we decided to get naked broadband because we dont want/need a phoneline, and we havent connected ours. But then in the sign up for the naked internet it said you HAD to call them from your home phone line that HAD to be working. So then we were like "fine, we'll do the bundle one" because it's not that much more expensive, but then that one says the SAME. So now we've had to connect the phone line with Telstra, costing $59, PLUS we're stuck in a line rental contract with Telstra for 3 months at $27.90 a month. So anyway, we were like, fine, okay we'll do that, and we'll go with the naked broadband and then we'll cancel the telstra line rental after 3 months.

We haven't ordered an internet plan yet, but we were going to go with Exetel 6gb peak/60gb off-peak(2am-12noon) at $45 a month with $40 connection fee. The bundle was $55 a month for 8gb/60gb.

Is that a good plan, anyone? Does anyone have a better plan I should hear about before we go ahead with that one? Does anyone think I can survive living with 3gb on peak? (I'm sharing with one person)

Do you know anything about your previous internet usage? I mean, if you're anything like me, I think you're going to need more than 6gb during peak. I've managed to exceed unlimited downloads before... :naughty:

See, the thing is, most working/studying people mainly use the net during peak, as they don't have access during off-peak. I know I'm now on 12gb a month (lol, had to cut back..), and I'm only on during peak, except for weekends. I also generally exceed it around this time of month, and instead of charging me extra, they put me back to dial-up speed. It's crappy for those few days, but it's better than excessive extra fees, or no internet at all! Not sure how much we pay, though...

  7. Hi all, the little joey (who I think mum has finally decided to call Billy [she changes her mind at least twice a day]) made it through the night last night! He wasn't expected to make it to midnight, but we saw a major improvement in just a few hours. This morning, he was no longer rigid or twitching, and he was standing up in his pouch, ready for food! He's been good all day, and other than still being a little weakened from last night, he's back to normal! I had this feeling he was going to pull though. =]

In other news, we had sport photos at school today. Being captain of a sporting team does have it's downfalls... lol, I think half our equestrian team thinks I'm ridiculous. But seriously, there were girls who wanted to wear their own jacket in the photo, rather than the school vest that everyone else was wearing, girls who had the wrong blouses, and no-one seemed to be able to tie a tie, myself included! So when we were finally settled for the photo, and I realised that half the girls had long boots, and the others had jodhpurs boots. So we put the girls with the tall boots in the back, and the short boots in the front. The poor photographer. I don't think he's going to want to come back next year! :roftl::naughty:

    How are we all tonight?
