  1. Sounds like you did pretty well... I have no idea about horse stuff, so I'll just nod and smile...

Oooooh... force quit... sounds like something a jedi would use! :naughty:

I was going to load either Ubuntu or Mandriva onto my old laptop so I could experiment, I think I might use Ubuntu...

Well done EJ :thumb_yello: Just typical of a horse to decide not to jump something because it was too small. Your dressage scores seem good, what sort of movements do you have to do?

Aw, thanks guys. =] I was only doing preliminary dressage, so the movements weren't too complex. Just trot and canter circles, the occasional extension of the trot, both free and medium walks, and this really cool movement in which you trot a 20m circle whilst allowing the horse to take the reins from the hands and stretch downwards. Bonza's pretty good at that one. =]

    Oh, and I forgot...

Aussies, there is an "Exclusive with Mika" (or smth) on Sunrise tomorrow.

    Not sure what time...

They actually played Mika singing Grace Kelly on Sunrise when they advertised it, so I got a little bit excited :blush-anim-cl:...

And have you seen the uncensored version of the WAG video?:blush-anim-cl::das:

Ah, why do I have to catch a bus at 7:30am! lol

I can't find a link to the uncensored video :crybaby::sad::annoyed_h4h:

What's so uncensored about it? Is he naked? Or wearing a golden thong? Or not alone in the room :das:?

Nah, he's still got the white shorts on, he just performs some...erm... questionable dance moves... :naughty:

  2.

    Aww ... sweet dreams EJ ! :wub2:

Good luck & have fun with your Bonza tomorrow !! :kachinga:

    Good luck :thumb_yello:

Aw, thanks guys! We did pretty well over the weekend. On Saturday (showjumping) we came 1st in Grand Prix, and 5th in both AM5 and TopScore, placing us 4th overall. Today (dressage and combined training[which is a combination of a dressage test and a jump round]), we placed 1st in our combined training dressage test, but completely bombed out in the jump round. Bonza decided the jumps were so small (40cm) that they were too scary to jump. So after three baulks, we were eliminated, placing us 6th or something overall. For the dressage, we got a 55.3% on the first test, and 60.0% on the second, placing us 8th overall. In the second test, we also received our first 8/10 for a movement! considering 7 is a pretty good mark for a movement, and I rarely see 8s, even on the best of riders tests, I was quite impressed with that. =]

My littlest sister placed 4th overall in her dressage group, which was pleasing, since it was her first comp on her new pony. =]

    :biggrin2:

I actually spoke to Mika after the gig

    :swoon:

    Awesome! =D

I use overalls as the word not dungarees myself...I didn't even know what dungarees were :naughty:

I recognised the word, but use the term overalls more myself. =P

Least you know how to use it... I've got no clue... we had to decide on a linux distribution to install on a computer alomg with Vista and XP and I was the only one to not choose Ubuntu... I chose Mandriva (only cause it was the only one I'd heard of)...

Ubuntu isn't that difficult to use, I reckon it's just confusing at times, especially for people who've only worked with one OS all their lives. The one thing I do like about Ubuntu is the 'Force Quit' option. Add the icon to the taskbar, click it, then the misbehaving application, and it's gone! None of this waiting for it to respond crap. If I want it gone, it's gone, no questions asked. =]

  3. Right, back from yet ANOTHER trip to the ER. This time we had tingling and numbness under the cast. Turns out the bandaging was a bit tight after the surgery .So they loosened it, and she has plenty of sensation now. Unfortunately for me, they didn't unwrap it to the point where I could see the incision from the surgery. They just sliced the gauze and re-wrapped it.

Sisters. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em.:naughty:

    Agreed!

Like I said to Mum this morning, telling a girl that she's not to hastle her sister is like telling a Maccas employee that they're not allowed to sell fries!

Other than that, I'm really tired! I think I'm gonna sleep now, since I'm off to a showjumping comp with Bonza tomorrow morning. Night all. =]

  4. EJ, sorry to hear about your sister.. ouch! Hope she's doing ok.

Yeah, she's home now. She's also under the impression that because she has plaster on her leg she is exempt from all household chores/rules. Everything is back to normal. :naughty:

Online shooters... oh geez... they're not big on World of Warcraft are they???

    ---

    :lmfao:

I find that amusing... I'm sure there is a way around it... I think TAFE is part of an academic alliance or something and get cheaper Microsoft stuff...

    ---

    I know the feeling...

    Sounds like fun!

I got the impression that they were... Didn't ask them, though. I know that WoW consumes peoples' lives, though... :boxed:

    ---

It was quite funny. They've changed the OS image again this term... (Still Ubuntu, but a diferent version)

I'm finding myself instructing the majority as to how to make it look remotely normal...lol

    ---

Unfortunately, I know you'd understand. Extensive hospital visits suck. =|

Hello everyone ... I have tonsilitis ... damnit .... so managed to gets out of bed today ... :thumb_yello: whats happening?

Aw, that's no good! Hope you feel better soon!

  5. Hope your sister makes a speedy recovery :thumb_yello:

Awww I send my best wishes to your sister and hope she has a speedy recovery.

    Thanks guys. =]

She was pretty out of it when I went to see her, which was more than likely the anaesthetic wearing off still. She now has five screws in her ankle. She was really pale, but had the awesomest bright green hospital gown! No fair, last time I had an operation (when I was nine, to have teeth removed), they were white, with the backs missing! I told her she should ask to keep it, and wear it as a souvenir...lol

They're also thinking of keeping her until Saturday.

Other than that, how are we all?

  6. Bonza, even if your sister ends up "bedridden" after the surgery for a couple of days, if she's really worried about her hair the staff should be able to do something for her if she asks. I mean, people who are unconscious in ICU still get their hair washed. It just takes a little bit of fiddling sometimes.

Haha, it's just funny, cos she's beginning to turn into a 'girl'. (something I'm yet to develop into...:naughty:)

They did opt for the surgery, and apparently she's just come out from under the anaesthetic. Going in to see her now. =]

  7. I hope your sister will be ok EJ !! :wub2:

    Hi all again !! :huglove::bye:

Yeah, I went to see her this morning. She's all worried that her hair smells. It does, but I didn't tell her that. :naughty:

I had to leave before CT scan results came back, so I'm not sure whether she's off for surgery or not. She turned down the maths homework and the photo of myself that I took in for her...lol

In other news, my friends and I are currently tracking down cheap accommodation and flights to Sydney for our "We graduated- yay" holiday. The end is creeping up on us quicker than I thought it would!

  8. If anybody is interested, here are some pictures of Studio 52, the studio we're recording in next Thursday in Melbourne.

    http://www.studio52.com.au/images/slideshow/studioslideshow/index.html

We have to leave at 6am (meaning I'll need to wake up at around 5am) and we get back to my town at about 10-11pm. It's going to be a long day! :naughty:

Nice! I'm sure the early start will be worth it! =]

My sister broke her tibia (the larger bone in the lower leg) in two places today, riding her pony. He slipped and fell on her. So, they've kept her overnight, as they're not sure whether surgery is necessary as yet. I'm thinking I might go up to the hospital before school tomorrow, and catch a bus from there to school, since she has a CT scan at 8:30. I can miss first lesson, it's only religion anyway...

  9. Thanks EJ !!! :wub2::biggrin2:

I, as usual, am doing this at the last minute ! :aah::teehee:

I'm hoping to at least email Avoca our 'front page' ... & just write a little smth. about how great it's been to make new friends here, that we may never have met ... were it not for Mika & his music :blush-anim-cl:... & of course , our AUSSIE THREAD !!! :kachinga:

    Sounds good to me! =D

  10. Hi guys ! :huglove::bye:

You may all remember me mentioning ages ago about the birthday present book that Avoca is organising ? Ppl are writing little kinds of bit's & pieces about threads that they frequent or are interested in ... & I put my name up as someone who could help to get smth. together re: the Aussie thread ... the deadline is tonight (our time ) :aah: !!! Avoca reminded me in the wee hrs. of this morning ... :boxed:

Soooo ... does anyone object to the front page intro. of our thread going into the present ?? It's really humorous (thanks Liz ! ) & it's ready !! :wink2:

Also ... here we talked about maybe adding some little in-joke-y stories, like Bogan Mika etc. ...:lmfao:

So sorry this reminder is sooo last minute .... :aah: ... but I've told Avoca I'd run it by you guys ... & get back to her later tonight .

If we don't participate, we don't ... but I would like to try to get the front page in there if poss. ...

    Thoughts ... comments ???

IMO, there shouldn't be any problem with it. As it's been said, it has been publicly viewable before, and it's not like it has personal info in it or anything.

If you need any help with putting something together, I, as usual, have nothing better to be doing, so let me know. =]

  11. Last day of the holidays. :tears:

Naw, hope you enjoyed it. =]

The differences in interstate holiday periods never ceases to amaze me... I've been at school for two weeks now...lol

Actually, that reminds me- only five days until we get our report cards! We were supposed to get them over our break, but the teachers decided to give themselves an extension... :sneaky2:

Although I already know I got a B- in maths... Not happy about that one. I guess it's not that bad, but I average an A in maths, and the last exam I got 52% on, which was a C. To get an A, we need As in two criteria, and no less than a B in the third. Therefore, I was ineligible for my A. How sad. Looks like I'd better work hard making my chocolate crackles in Maths tomorrow... (this seems to be their futile attempt to interest the vast majority in critical path diagrams...) :naughty:

  12. I'll assume they didn't treat you like a complete moron because you have two X chromosomes.. or maybe it's just me :naughty:

Teegan! Good to see you back online! =D

Surprisingly they didn't... Although they did laugh at me when we did the gaming session... I seemed to be the only one there without extensive online shooting game experience...lol

Your school runs Ububtu??? What, are they too stingy to buy Windows?

On second thoughts, Vista is prety sh!t... I'd run Ubuntu too :teehee:..

Frankly, yes. We did have windows XP, but apparently Microsoft charges a licensing fee for all the PCs that run windows, and apparently they can't afford it,(something about catholic schools not receiving government funding...) so they went for freeware... Personally, I think it's hilarious, since they're having to teach the entire school how to work with a new OS, since their (pathetic) attempt to make it look and behave like Windows failed...lol

  13. Listened to we are Glden, and like it. Didn't catch the 'live' premiere though, so missed the bit about coming to aus... hoping someone recorded and will share so I can fangurl :naughty:

    Night all

    I did. =]

    http://www.zshare.net/audio/629153989964ae85/

I had nothing better to do than my Biology... which happens to be very nearly finished! Only have to put in my in-text referencing now! =D

Edit- Ah, I was beaten to it! lol
