  1. Perhaps because as the administrator of the FC he should set an example ? Thank you for your go-ahead, which I didn't ask for, but you are prone on giving unasked for advice, it is a little idiosyncrasy of yours. I didn't wait for it. Does 'Mind your own business' or 'Have a life' sound insulting ? Even more insulting that Freddie's post ? A matter of education, I suppose. And yes, it is important, not as a personal issue, my feelings being hurt -fortunately my mother is spared the unpleasantness as I translate posts for her- or Freddie being a childish Boer, but because the MFC is part of Mica's image. THAT is important. To me anyway. And to his collaborators, who are all genuinely fond of him. Wish everybody here were. Marie-Thérèse
  2. Thank you, my partner, a lawyer too, has already contacted a very good man, and I can afford his fee, but it was very sweet of you to offer . Incidentally I was not looking for a Belgian lawyer -just a man specialising in the Internet . He just happens to be from Belgium. As for needing the help of the mods, as they didn't feel necessary to remind the administrator of some basic rules of the MFC -I am sure that there must be one about not insulting a middle age member about her wrinkled face... I don't believe you would be of any help. A few days ago in a PM I have kept of course, I have kept them all, the administrator apologised for having aired doubts about the reality of my family. He seems to be suffering from hallucinations again. I can't do anything for him I am afraid. He may not be sensitive enough to realise that seing my mother's existence denied at a time when her growing frailty is making us acutely aware of the fact that she might not be with us in a few months or, hopefully, years, is very painful to us. I have just sent Mica's collaborator copies of the posts and reminded her of the fact that voluntary work can turn out to be very expensive indeed. Marie-Thérèse
  3. Nope, I am desperate for nothing, and certainly not for a grossly insulting answer. Just couldn't find mine on the thread ... Was a bit busy considering the legal issues with a Belgian lawyer specialising in Internet matters and alerting a close collaborator of Mica's, must have missed it. Sorry for double posting ... Marie-Thérèse
  4. Indeed ! Still during DT spells people do have hallucinations, so that it is quite possible to see three grandmothers I suppose. Although DT sufferers usually see cockroaches crawling all over their bodies, and grandmothers, with a very few exceptions, are not insects ... Marie-Thérèse
  5. Indeed ! Still I have heard that during DT spells people do have hallucinations. So seeing three grandmothers instead of one might happen. Although what the sufferers see is more often cockroaches crawling all over their bodies. And grandmothers, with a very few exceptions, are not insects ... M.-Th.
  6. How venomous and childish... I am sure you are breaking a MFC rule at the moment. Being a gentleman costs nothing, I believe. Your surprise me, you really do. Again, go to J. P. and ask her if there really are three members of my family posting on the MFC. And ask Mica to send you a copy of the recent photo of her she gave him, explaining to him that there had circulated on the MFC wild speculations about her actual existence . Incidentally, I was not commenting on your dress style but on Mica's. As for a few... when ? Yuk ! M.-Th.
  7. Let's hope Mica will never influence your dress style !
  8. One film that we're not going to watch, more's the pity, is the Ps' footage of both CDH gigs. On the first date, J. Penniman was in charge of the camera. She was standing in a passage, to the right of the piano and she favoured the stage. Anyway, even when she is not filming, she never allows herself to sit down, poor thing ; probably because, being part of M team, she wants to be able to rush backstage should her expertise be needed there... On the 12th, M. Penniman, who was the camera person, filmed the crowd a lot. At some point, when everyone was chanting 'Une autre ! Une autre !' he joined them and then, as somebody next to him -friend or family- seemed to express some surprise, he flashed at her a half sheepish, half mischievous grin -uncannily Mica-ish - as if to say : 'Well, why not ? After all, I am part of the audience and I do want him to sing another song ' !
  9. Good, but don't put your hand inside the cage, just throw it at him, much safer... M.-Th.
  10. After watching so many brilliant vids of the Cirque d'Hiver concerts and not having got the opportunity to watch half the whole footage yet, I must say that -so far- I have a soft spot in my heart for the grandelily87's video of Happy Ending, June 11th... But then I am a great sucker for close ups and Mica's left side is definitely his better one, much less monkeyish, much more manly and those dimples ! M.-Th.
  11. Oh he is, although a bit better after a couple of day's hillwalking ; when your body is sore your mind tends to keep quiet ... And again, sorry to repeat myself, but don't rattle his cage ! What's wrong with you all, have you never been to a zoo ? M.-Th.
  12. You are mean ! Well, we five footers get to look at his yummy childbearing hips without even hurting our neck ... how cool is that ? To reach that level you would have to kneel down in front of him and that would be embarrassing . M.-Th.
  13. So we belong in the same club . What about starting a fivefooter social group ? Although, technically I might not be admitted as I am a bit of an inch taller ... Marie-Thérèse
  14. As she probably was busy sharing it, she was unlikely to step back and analyse it, was she ? Another Mica addict... such a sweet drug ! M.-Th.
  15. And I bet Mica did too ... he is so overwhelmed by Emerald's happiness that his left cheek dimple is threatening to go all the way to the other side ! Marie-Thérèse
  16. Nothing cool ? You are just a real music lover, as opposed to us crazy fangurls or guys... I to you. Really, for once I am not being sarcastic. Talking about fangirls... I was sitting -or rather standing and shaking it- next to the famous Soaring Simpson ! She is lovely too ! Marie-Thérèse
  17. First Mica gig for you both then ? Wow, must be something to share that experience. Unfortunately my partner thinks that music is noise, expensive one when you pay to listen to it. Was enchanted by Beirut, the atmosphere and the whole city and people though, if Mica gives another concert there, he definitely go with me.

The painting was by a French Riviera based painter of Lebanese descent, called Chady -whether it was a pen name or his real one, I don't know-.

He enjoyed some fame in the 1950s and 1960s and my parents bought quite a few paintings from him. Some of them are very nightmarish, you know, Cocteau style, but my mother thought that the naive circus scene she gave Mica was just meant for him.

You know, like when you see something in a shop window, or read a book, or listen to a song and you think : 'That's so him/her' ?

I am delighted he seemed to like it, truly did, even though he was embarrassed at receiving it. He is planning to have three residences in the near future, he should be able to find some space for it on the walls...

Am going to your thread now, can't wait !

    Love,

    M.-Th.

  18. Hello dear !

Going to three gigs in a row, one in London and two in Paris, was a bit of a hassle, but worth it... and I was able to bring to Mica the painting my mother so wanted to give him.

Didn't have much time to go to the other threads -both partner and mother anxious to get as much of me as they can, I should go away more often, they are much more affectionate when I come back !- but I woud love to read your report. Which page of the thread is it ?

    Love,

    M.-Th.

  19. Was a bit too busy with preparing my three, London then Paris, gigs to browse the Milan thread. Emerald, you look radiant on that photo ! There were some questions about a red mark on his forehead in front of the Cirque d'Hiver, when meeting fans. Now I know why : he was sunburnt and you are to blame ... We both are so happy for you ! Marie-Andrée Marie-Thérèse
  20. That's exactly what makes paparazzi bloom and the gutter press make money... The only coherent attitude would have been not to watch or download the vid. How many of us can boast of doing that, the right thing ? I can't ... I didn't enjoy it much, still I did watch it to the end but was really worried when I thought the buggers' persistence was becoming a hazard -well done, Christian, beer belly or not you can be quite slippery when necessary ! Marie-Thérèse
