  1. [quote=nikjass; I always refer to Mika as a kid too and i'm only 31.. : Referring to a guy who is only half a dozen years younger than you as 'a kid' is rather worrying, but only for you as long as you do it privately. Calling Mica 'the kid' or 'the boy' here is belittling and disrespecful although I can understand it's a way of denying, or compensating for, the huge power his talent and our admiration give him over us. Come to think of it, it probably makes him giggle in delight as that fiction of a never fully grown up Mica is light years from the real man and his secret garden. And he does cherish and protect his privacy. Same thing with the fantasies about his bi- or not quite settled yet- sexual orientation. So, sorry for being such a spoilsport and please ignore what I have written above. By all means, go on calling him the boy, or the kid, or the infant, or the baby, being mentally wrapped up in diapers is unlikely to hurt him any. Marie-Thérèse
  2. Yes, the same age as my son, and he will always be my kid , still he is a man, with a job, a partner, a grownup life. So, incidentally, is Mica. Who is not not your child or mine either . Bad enough that some MFCers tend to blank his father and believe his birth was another instance of the immaculate conception ... Marie-Thérèse
  3. Don't be sarcastic, that's my job ! Being polite is smart too, it puts rude people at a disadvantage. And Mica is clever . M.-Th.
  4. I am still available if you need help ... Then you can blame the English mistakes on me . M.-Th.
  5. And it does mean that the person who took that vid took the pain to stalk him to his hotel. Not very pretty ... M.-Th.
  6. He does use f... words a lot, but not with his fans, bless him ! Not that we don't deserve it at times ...
  7. You mean, round buttocks, concave chest ? OMG, what does he play the piano with when he is not on stage ? Talking about risqué things the mark on his forehead was definitely a badly concealed love bite. No wonder the guy wants to spend half the year in France, the French are dogs ! I want a love bite on my forehead too, I've never had one ... not that M's French lover is likely to oblige . Will have to ask my partner . M.-Th.
  8. I can't thank enough all the fans who posted videos, although I can't download them at the moment : I am staying at my elder son's and guess what, he doesn't have download helper in his computer ! Kids ! You think you have brought them up properly and look what you get... To say nothing of my younger, who is still brooding because he hasn't come to terms with not being able to make it to an acoustic tour gig. Still hoping that M will give a couple of summer ones but he shouldn't hold his breath. As I said previously I filmed over an hour of the gig but don't know if they will be good enough to be worth utubing or dailymotioning as I was using a brand new camera. Plus I am unable to do that myself and anyway they must be edited to take off the bits I filmed for Id3 and that musn't circulate on the Internet. When all that has been done by a friend of mine -the guy who made the Beirut Press Conference for us-, but he does have a life, poor baby, I will put them on if they are worth watching. The meet and greet pics were brilliant too. Mica looked less tired than the night before. Probably because he now knows that he can take it easy for a few weeks before performing again. M.-Th.
  9. And who is Mika ? Sorry, just kidding, I should hope that I will never have that veteran attitude towards a newer member, I would totally despise myself if I did. Aurelien studies music in London, and is a staunch fan, although he doesn't post much, he belongs in the MFCer category who have a life beyond Mika. If you want to see and hear a slightly drunk Aurelien delivering a lovely Xmas speech, utube it -or ask another MFCer for the link, it will save you time. M.-Th.
  10. Those confetti were a hazard , so slippery they should use it for winter skiing when there isn't enough snow. Re his fake fall and the rear end view we were then able to enjoy... he may be razor blade thin still for the first time yesterday I could actually see buttocks where there usually is a very flat area . So he must be working out but somebody ought to tell him that you are supposed to exercise your whole body at the same time or you end up being a yummy bottomed guy with a concave chest or a bumless man with huge pecs . Nobody has answered my previous question about the piano. Is it really a grand piano ? To me a grand piano is a baby grand which is in the mood. If that instrument was in the mood then it could do with a few blue lozenges ! M.-Th
  11. I didn't feel embarrassed about bringing the bleeding painting but he sure was about accepting it so I'd rather let water run under the bridge before approaching him again, then he may think of me as the blond, persistent, midget instead of the girl with the stupid painting from her silly mother. Although a compulsive giver I enjoy receiving as well so I might suggest to him hiring me to receive his presents -you know, kings used to have tasters, why shouldn't Mica have a receiver ?
  12. Stop drooling, take a grip on yourself ! I know, awesome ! I don't know Aurélien and still I went all ... M.-Th
  13. The little girl was on both occasions standing to the left ot the rink and she was... you knwo, when you are in a club, letting yourself go and having the time of your life and then your eye is caught by somebody who dances so well that you stop to watch them ? Well, she was that person on June 11th -yesterday she was the same side as me so i didn't have such a good view on her performance-. What she did on stage was far less stunning than what she did the day before -probably paralysed, poor baby, let's hope she hasn't got a weak heart or she will be the first M gig casualty !- but she still was good. M.-Th.
  14. Stop being sarcastic -look who's talking...- ! Those silver papers were awfully slippery, I walked on them to avoid disturbing my next seat neighbours when I went to mingle with other MFCers and nearly fell myself. And I wasn't running, he was. M.-Th.
  15. You can stop waiting, I have just posted a report, don't know where... I think on the thread where we said whether we were going to attend the show or not... I am sure you can pick it up and put it in the report, pics, etc. thread which you are going to start... I would make a mess of it if I tried, my report would probably end up in a totally inappropriate thread. M.-Th.
  16. Right, first impressions, stilll warm from the oven... Mica gave it all but his voice was tired. More fragile, which didn't make it less beautiful but more touching. The audience was as insane as yesterday, the set as long, if not longer -the show lasted a little longer than on the 11th. There was no stage invasion but very special features : the little girl I had noticed yesterday as a brilliant dancer was invited on stage -and on top of the piano- by Mica, Aurélien played a few notes on the same instrument -which, incidentally, is just a baby grand, I think...- I thought I had enjoyed the gig less than yesterday for a very simple reason : I filmed most of it plus I had been given a special filming assignment by Id3 -nothing that's going to circulate on the Internet, only for his own use- and I have always found that you can't have fun and film at the same time. But apparently I did enjoy it as when we were coming down a young couple -first Mica gig, little stars twinkling in their eyes, so endearing !- told me 'You did like the concert, didn't you'. 'Yes, of course, I did'. 'Because we saw you dancing and singing and having the time of your life !'. We chatted a bit and they told me that they had been overwhelmed by Mica's energy, generosity, presence and huge talent, that they were taken by surprise because, even though they had seen videos and heard reports from friends it was way beyond their wildest expectations. To me it was the perfect end to a great night. My thoughts go to the courageous fans who are probably still waiting outside for the big man. I didn't join them, either yesterday or tonight because I am still embarrassed about the painting thing and I want to wait some time before approaching him again. I was happy to meet MFCers tonight, either ones I already knew -Sophie, where the hell were you ?- or new ones, like the lovely mother and daughter from Romania, first Mica gig too. Good night, folks, M.-Th.

  18. He looks very tired. He looked much fresher yesterday afternoon. No wonder, he gave so much last evening ! M.-Th.
  19. Off in half an hour. Friday night, it should be really full... Thinking that it might be my last M gig for 3 or 4 months makes me restless. Withdrawal symptoms are such a bitch ! M.-Th.
  20. He is razor blade, borderline worrying, thin... we should maybe think of bringing him junk food instead of stupid paintings ?
  21. He is planning to have three residences, one in London, one in Paris and a third somewhere else -in the country perhaps, he likes the countryside. So I am not -repeat : not- taking the painting back to my mother !
