  1. You only live one come! , YOU WILLL SOOO SOO REGRET IT!!!

<make sure you get full parential advice , everything i state is subject to stated rules and parents decision goes above my comments in all and evey case> :roftl:

Can you imagine that, Freddie ? Three to five young MFCers painting Sadler's Wells second circle scarlet :freak::insane::fangurl: !

On the other hand it would ruin our reputation for ever  and from then on before being given admittance to any M gig we would have to sign a written statement, swearing that we are not a member of the MFC ...

As a matter of fact, if Ingie can make it, they will very likely sue us :naughty: .

Still, as you so rightly put it : you only live once. Especially if your Karma sucks, but that's another issue...

  2. Another Violet.....sky mix up?:wink2:

Well... spooky as it did appear in my sent items file and sending PMs must be something I am good at as my box is nearly full :roftl: !

Sent a duplicate, check again and let me know, OK ?

I hate to see people unable to go to gigs because they couldn't secure a ticket. It's about the most frustrating thing I can imagine, musicwise...

  3. Yes, I had a look on the French site. (In Germany they don't know Mika ) But I'd much rather get them from someone from here or maybe the French forum, so I can be sure to have them in time. I'm paranoid like that. Buying tickets from ebay at such short notice would make me lose my sleep just as much as not getting any. :aah:

Silly Mika. Manipulating me. Again. :sneaky2:

    Read your PMs :wink2: ...

  4. I will have at least 3, possibly 5 spare second circle tickets for the SW gig.

At least 3 of those will be first row, side of the row, so nearer the stage than in the middle.

Possibly a seat first circle, first row, two thirds of the row, and a well located stalls one, but not sure yet.

A bit too complicated to tell you guys why, but the point is that I won't know until coming into the venue which I will be using, which will be free to give away.

I would like to invite those of you who couldn't secure a ticket, I have already given three tickets to people who had either no seats or crappy ones, and I would love to share that moment with a few more MFCers.

Next time, if I am desperate for a ticket, you'll invite me, OK :wink2: ?

  5. ...

Once he got going though, it was absolutely amazing and powerful. His voice is just unbelievable, and what I love most about this song is that it showcases his voice in all its glory.

He sounds WAY better than in the recorded version, way better. He has this incredible way of suddenly upping the tempo, and the volume, and then going quieter again....It was heavenly. His friend Alexander was a fantastic addition, but if I am honest, perhaps the backing voice was a tad too strong at times and it detracted from Mika's own a couple of times. But hey, I'm just being picky (as Mika himself says :roftl:). Truth is, it was ubelievable, incredible, fantastic, and I was just sitting there smiling like a fool, too much in awe to do anything.

I would have loved to record that one, but as security had actually told US that we were not to film and I could see the eagle eye of a couple of them on me (not sure why, I must have just looked naturally eager because I hadn't even tried anything yet), I decided not to risk it and just enjoy it instead. I didn't want to cause any commotion during that song, which was likely if the security guy came to tell me off, etc, it would just ruin the atmosphere. The same magic atmosphere was there when Mika sung Over My Shoulder.

It was just unbelievable, totally unbelievable. His voice on those songs is SO good, that you forget anything else around you. I was literally in heaven. And I am an atheist .

    it!

For an atheist you do use religious vocabulary :wink2:

    But it is not surprising.

Not wonder music has had such a huge importance in religion, either as a means to celebrate the glory of God or as a taboo in stricter churches or cults because it was deemed blasphemous to approach heaven through playing or singing it.

When Jodi Marr heard Mica sing for the first time she felt that he had been -I am not sure about the quote 'touched by the gods'. She may be an atheist too. I am an agnostic but heavenly is a word that comes to my mind when listening to beautiful music.

Ah, that silly grin on our face, when our cheekbones go up of their own accord and stay there until the music ends :blush-anim-cl: !

  6. U]

I arrived in Berlin on Sunday mid morning, and after settling into my hotel I met up with Kata the explorer (boy does that girl love to walk around, hahaha!!!!!!!! ) for a few walkies. I kid you not, we must have walked for kilometres :aah:.

    ]

Anyway, we got walking and got to the venue shortly before 11 I think. Quite a few people were there already, as I got nr 19 on my hand (thanks you lovely German fans and Polish contingent, you were all really nice) and we just did the usual hanging around chatting, sitting, walking around a little, etc... It was a really pleasant and lovely day, and I really enjoyed the vibe, which was excited but "nice". Relaxed. We were just enjoying a nice day amongst friends. There was a big truck next to the church, with some equipment, but besides this there were no signs of 'life' (bar the actual church goers who were walking in for the 11 am service. We went in to have a little look but escaped when the lady in charge came out offering us bibles :roftl:- I think that she was really shocked when she saw all those people suddenly walking in with such determination and then how fast we walked out again when we saw what the deal was)

A bit later, sometime around 12 or perhaps 1, John arrived.

    ---To be continued ---

Yes, very wise to arrive the day before a gig, you are much fresher on 'the' night.

Obviously bibles are as effective to make MFCers run away as garlic cloves to get rid of vampires :naughty: .

  7. Back home at last.

First of all we had an amazing holiday in Berlin. I totally fell in love with the city.

About the gig. I find it difficult to describe in words how special it feels to experience Mika playing in such beautiful and different venue like Passionskirche is. :wub2: I've seen him couple of times in different places here in Europe and he keeps getting better all the time. Me and my bf got great seats close to the stage (on the same side with Mika & Martin). I'm really sorry to hear some of you had problems with the view. I guess we were just lucky to see everything even though people in front of us were standing now and then.

The atmosphere in the church was really intense and the crowd was very loud. I liked the fact people were sitting still in the beginning of the gig, listening to Mika's angelic voice and holding their breath. Like said before the rest of the gig was immense partying. :groovy: I'm pretty sure it was Mika's goal for that night. At least he had a big grin on his face when people start to dance. :fisch:

Some of the ultimate best songs on that night were Lady Jane, Stuck in the Middle, Toy Boy, Over My Shoulder, Blue Eyes and Rain. Loved the new band and was happy to see Martin is back. :thumb_yello:

Okay I'll write rest of the report later... I'm starting to feel maniac after travelling :freak:

    I know :fangurl: !

Every time you think that he won't be able to be better than what you have just witnessed and then the next time he takes you a little higher :insane: .

  8. That's not quite correct. There are different 'categories', A, B, C, etc... and as you can see in this plan:

    http://www.mikafanclub.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2298373&postcount=53

Every category has rows called A (front), B (second), C (third), etc..., so you need to check what Category you're in, and after that your zone, and then last seat number.

If you are in Category A, row A, that is a front row of the floor area. Category A, row B is second row of floor area.

If you're in Category B, row A, that is a front row of the first floor.

Etc, etc...:biggrin2:. I am very happy indeed as I just got the tickets and I got A/ A seats, so it's proper frontest front!!!

    Wohoo

I don't know how you always manage to get first row seats ! Did you sell your soul or something ? I tried to but Lucifer refused, saying mine was not worth a first row seat at a M gig... cheeky bugger :mad: !

Anyway the link is very good news ; I had had a look at the photos that Babs posted for me and zone B was nearest the ring...

I was so delighted and relieved that I was on the verge of proposing to you, then remembered how ramrod straight I am, and how fond of my partner but THANK YOU :huglove: !

To show you my appreciation, should the drunk pap turn up at Sadler's Wells, I'll erase him for you. Deal ?

    Till then...

  9. sariflor: that's horrible. i hope that guy will get beaten up very bad by some random dude for some reason soon:mad3:

the famous violet underscore sky(:teehee:): i'm sorry about your car.:boxed:

Kata:i didn't like the new you at all:shun:

    *waits for sariflor's report*

Why a dude  ? Half a dozen irate females can be quite formidable too :bonk: . Talking about danger, the guy had better hire some bodyguards -better than the security men apparently were at Passionkirche :naughty: .

If he was drunk, aren't security supposed to expel those from venues ?

    Marie-Thérèse

  10. Well, I am afraid I am going to make the happy owners of A tickets very unhappy indeed : it seems that we will be sitting at first circle level :furious: while people with B tickets will be right under the elephants tails :fangurl:.

Good for them but, f... ! It would be lovely if some kind of screw up didn't take place for at least one of the acoustic gigs.

[Totally off topic, but was the Passionkirche piano a grand or a baby grand ?]

  11. [quote

Another guy (pap) was next to me and pushed me into the bench a few times so I told him off and pushed back.

When the gig ended he came over to speak to me and told me in no uncertain terms that this would be the last time that I pushed him, that I had had a lucky escape and that next time I wouldn't be so lucky. He looked very dodgy, typical unsavoury character, so when he said this I asked him outright: 'oh, are you threatening me?' to which he replied (while looking me right in the eye putting his face very close to mine and getting generally very close, and gesturising too) : 'yes. Watch out because next time you won't be so lucky.'

This sort of thing should never be allowed to happen, and it wouldnt' have happened if security had done their job and stopped these freaks from being there abusing us in the first place.

What this man did is a very serious thing, which unfortunately I could not report on the night because, quite frankly, after seeing how these security guys react to issues, I just knew that they would do nothing and all that I would get was the guy angrier on my case and what not.

It really left me shaken, very shaken.

After the gig, this guy was one of a group of 3-4 paps following Mika whilst he spoke to the fans and constantly snapping him. He was not a proper photographer, he was a pap. And obviously, a very dodgy character.

Well, as you well know, I am short, a woman, and blonde into the bargain, so needless to say I have often been the target of male bullying in the streets, the underground, etc.

I have found that they hate scenes and scandal with a passion and I generally start telling them very loudly -borderline shouting- what I think of them and their behaviour, addressing people round me and so far I have always succeeded in making them run for shelter.

Maybe one day I am going to be punched on the nose, but once again all bullies are basically big cowards and frightened when they 'victim' fights back.

The only real danger is when you are confronted to somebody who is clinically mad, then it is wiser to give up but your average bully is easily dealt with.

I can't wait for the guy to turn up in SW and you and Babs and I and a couple of other girls to give him all our attention  !

Did any of you take a photo of the goon ? You can easily lodge a complaint...

Till then, and let's hope he doesn't chicken out and disappoint our expectations...

  12. I seem to never get enough of this mans energy on stage. :wub2:

There has to be better words…charisma…presence?

The gig started with a Mika who was tense and almost shy, turning his back to the audience a lot.

Lady Jane, a few more songs... and after Toy Boy which was beautifully played on his new instrument the Celeste, the circus came to town!

Jumping, screaming, the audience singing back, Mika skipping around all over the stage sharing his lovely energy!:roftl:

How in the world could you possibly resist when Mika looks you in the eyes, claps his hands, jumps up and down and encourage you to do the same?:teehee:

I, and the people around me, second row, right side, must have had the luck of our life’s because we were still able to see most of what happened on stage when the whole audience went crazy and rushed forward all the way to the stage, filling up all the area around the seats.

Why did this said acoustic gig turn in to a funny, fantastic and noisy circus?

My theory is, that for most people his music is not first hand sitting-down-and-listen-carefully-music, with a few exceptions…

So….the audience did what probably felt most natural, jumping up and down and dance.

Mika is feeding off so much from that connection with the audience that he just went with the flow and the craziness took over!:roftl:

I enjoyed every second of it!:wub2:

He is an energetic, musically talented artist with a fantastic voice!:wub2:

Oh and from my place I was able to look at his hands while he was playing the piano and some of you already know about my love and admiration for good piano-players!

Thank you Mika for the lively and colourful Berlin gig!:wub2:

To avoid misunderstandings I would like to add that I thought it was a mistake to allow people to run to the front like that and block so many people view's, everybody wasn’t at all as lucky as we on the right hand side. This venue is definitely not the right place for a show like that and the security wasn’t able to deal with it!

Presence, I think. The moment he jumps on stage, even before uttering one single note or line, the place and the people belong to him.

Very few artists have that. It is more in the nature of magic than talent, I think. And you receive its full blast right in the chest.
