  1. Here's one for you to copy/paste :mf_rosetinted:

    I luv u Mika u r gr8,pls come 2 Argentina n marry me,we can watch hollyoaks n u can sing the song w/colours.waz ur fav. colour?mine is blue

I am going to report you to the mods and adm : that tweet is the copycat of one I sent to Mica, you just wrote 'Argentina' instead of 'Marseilles' :furious: . Shame upon you  !

    Marie-Thérèse

  2. Maybe this doesn't apply to you at all but what you said made me wonder why it is that some people want to meet Mika so badly but can't even come up with 140 characters worth of something to say to him?

Maybe Twitter is a bit too public for some but it's not like everyone won't be eavesdropping on and even recording and broadcasting your face to face conversations with Mika anyway.

That's not a rhetorical question by the way or a criticism. I've got nothing of any importance to say to Mika either but I've never been particularly eager to meet him for that reason.

You mean you didn't meet him in LA, you refused to meet him after the gig ? You were in the Roxy audience, weren't you  ?

    Marie-Thérèse

  3. :roftl::roftl::roftl:

Maybe Mika should keep the business announcements (codes, tickets) off Twitter? MS would have done for those, and could just as well have come from his management. Posting about codes on Twitter does kind of invite people to reply.

I think there's a difference between the "come to Middlesbrough- we love you" type stuff and ticket moans. Ticket moans should be directed to the appropriate person but the "we love you/love your written blogs (hint hint)" type stuff, however boring, is a legitimate opinion related to his artistic work.

Nah- surely that was when Christine thought the tix would go on sale Friday!

I hadn't thought of that but yes, he probably enjoys the drama, the reproaches, the flaring up of 'loyal' fans who try and defend him from the bad, bad ones :naughty: ...

    He is a drama king, isn't he  ?

Talking about moaning, he does indulge in it, and tweeting to his fans about his record company's disgusting and bossy attitude is as pointless as complaining about the over 18 rule of the NYC venue : we can't do more about the one than he can about the other.

So, in a way, we are even :wink2: .

    Marie-Thérèse

  4. Of course it is but it's also supposed to be FUN.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to sift through hundreds of messages of people bitching and moaning at them about things that are not important or even remotely related to what you've been saying on Twitter?

He has sent direct messages to many people. He has made no secret about it and even says things like "check your DM!" :wink2:

The message was directed to all of us who were in LA, not me. I don't know why he sent it to me and not, say Nono. Just the luck of the draw I suppose. I take it personally insofar as it was a nice gesture to all the MFCers in LA that he did want to speak to us and followed through on it the next day.

So he has some sifting to do ? Tough.

Hence the urge to protect him... is anybody willing to do some sifting for him ? Be his sifter, and bear the brunt of all the bitching and moaning, as kings of yore had tasters who died of poisoning instead of their masters -well actually they both died because the most lethal poisons are the ones that kill after several hours but that's another issue- ?

Personally I don’t think it would be wise to edit the tweets and let him read only those saying that he is the best, the most talented, effing musical genius in the history of time… not that it isn’t true :wink2: , but we don’t want 'the boy' to become conceited, do we :naughty: ?

    Marie-Thérèse

  5. He doesn't need to be shielded from unpleasantness but you need to pick your battles. Moaning at him about trivial nonsense until he flicks the off switch isn't going to accomplish anything.

Well then I guess you haven't had the same experiences that I have then. Keep in mind that some of his responses to people are not public.

But that's exactly what the post I reacted to wanted to achieve.

He seems to be in the process of breaking free, being his own man, what's wrong with letting him grow up ? Because he is his fans' toy boy, their Barbie or Ken doll and toys are not allowed to age  ?

Don't worry, he would soon flick on another :biggrin2: ! And I got the impression that trivial nonsense, which Mica himself posts on Twitter, was the whole idea of tweets  .

Well, then, I guess some fans are considered more important than others :wink2: .

I couldn't help giggling as people who mention special 'M experiences' are laughed at here and that's exactly what you have just done :naughty: ...

    Marie-Thérèse

  6. I am, and if you do that I will make sure that I have my camera ready to film you because I am NOT missing the chance to see that over and over again :lmfao:

Thanks Marina, you are so efficient!:thumb_yello:

I use the Firefox extension to download them as I view them, as you never know when they will be gone it seems :roftl:.

Now that would just be horrific. Before we panic, does anyone have their tickets yet?

When I spoke to Sandbag they said that it was allocated seating and that they would allocate the seat numbers, so maybe what you read on the site is for general circus, and for gigs they are actually giving people seats...

Until someone has a ticket and it doesn't have a seat number, I refuse to panic :naughty:.

To say nothing of the brilliant blackmailing opportunity such vids will offer you :naughty: ... all those crossing of the pond must cost you the earth :wink2: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  7. Very true Christine! :thumb_yello:

Every time the man writes a little tweet he gets many answers, wouldn’t it be great if we could get rid if the whiney and demanding ones, it’s not a very nice reading for anyone!

And finally I understand what that shortening means!:wink2:

Yes, indeed, let's protect 'the boy', let's shield him from any unpleasantness, let's tell him Santa's for real, let's prevent him from growing up.

We all know there is no better way to love somebody...

    Marie-Thérèse

  8. Funny I had also predicted this exact thing the other day. Too bad that stating the obvious is still not obvious enough.

Like what? What is so critical and urgent that people need to go moaning to Mika about it to sort it out? Especially if you're a member of MFC where we have ways of contacting the people whose job it is to deal with these things.

Don't you think Mika has enough to do cracking the whip to see that his album is made the way he wants and his stage productions go off the way he wants along with all the bazillions of other things he personally has to attend to?

We have the direct contact with him that everyone has been craving for years and people are abusing it by bitching to him about tickets and strippers and codes and vlogs and NYC liquor laws and everything else under the sun that has nothing to do with his tweets.

If people don't want him to disappear off Twitter the way he has disappeared from everywhere else that they are incessantly yapping, begging and complaining to him, then they need to STFU. All of this abuse is just going to ruin it for everyone else who appreciates the chance to have some positive interaction with him instead of an outlet to complain.

Interaction ? With Mica ? On Twitter ?

So far what I've read there from him has been one-sided rambling and he hardly ever answers tweets from his fans, celebrities excluded.

But then I don't spend much time browsing Twitter, let alone tweet.

As for the constant complaining I think it can be mainly blamed on the fact that he has always boasted of being a control freak who demands to have a say in everything connected to his work.

People tend to trust him, to believe, sometimes a little naively, what he says. His lies -if any- are hardly their responsibility.

    Marie-Thérèse

  9. So marie-andree, tell me about the tickets!

By the way, I just wanted to tell you: I'm coming to Paris 5 days before and planned to re-visit it (I've been there 7 years ago) and already told mum that on the 12th that park in front of the venue and I will be best friends:biggrin2:

I will draw a small flag which will say "MFC member" and will fly it as high as it could be seen by anyone.I will draw it and post pictures of it here somewhere and that's the way you guys will be able to know it's ME!

    A bientot,

    Bianca

    xx

Thanks for the link ! I hope we can meet there and paint the elephants buttocks red, if not the whole venue... which is already decorated in red, so better stick to the elephants rear end.

    M.-Th.

  10. Geez, I really managed to stir up things here with only one word...well, 2. See my previous post for marie-andree.:wink2:

Sorry, short memory going -long memory will soon follow suit, not doubt... and don't worry, we'll manage somehow to be right under the elephants butts :wink2: !

Babs must have received the pic I was referring to. Will soon post it, we can count on her.

    M.-Th.

  11. HUH? on the cirque d'hiver's webby? could you post the link please?...by the way let's take the conversation on the proper thread, as I don't think this is on topic here anymore.

'on topic' ... animal, mineral or vegetable ? You know that the forums language is English, if you want to use an exotic one, just start a special thread, will you :wink2: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  12. I don't know my seat tickets yet, but I can't make head nor tail of that seating plan either so I would be none the wiser. :naughty:

It was a view of the venue before a show, much more revealing than their crappy seating plan.

I'm sorry, I don't know how to attach a picture here, only to an email, but I can send you the photo and then you can post it here, can't you ?

Just PM me your email address.

    Marie-Thérèse

  13. And I will smack anyone who weeps in such a namby pamby way. :naughty:

You good cop, me bad cop.

Casting error... actually all French cops are baaaad !

ABT the Cirque d'Hiver, I am bawling too :crybaby: .

I came across a view of the venue with area A, B and C -category 1, 2 and 3 for our sandbag tickets, very likely- and it would seem that area B is farther from the stage than area A... doesn't make sense, when I went to watch a circus show I always took the best seats and they were just under the elephants buttocks  .

Plus I read on the CDH site 'opening of the doors 3/4 of an hour before the show and free sitting inside each area'. Shall we have to queue up for ages, again :furious: ? Even before experiencing it for good reserved seat had already grown on me big time :wub2: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  14. Yeah, just saw that and I started crying... :tears: for God knows what reason. I just had a terrible morning and to go to MS and find out that there's always something special from Mika that would make me feel better is just fantastic.

And I also cried when I saw the "Grace Kelly" performance in the vlog...I can bearly get used to the idea that miles will become meters in just a fortnight for me. I thought I got used to it...apparently it's just getting more and more exciting...:tears: here I go again...

In two weeks I'll be in Paris screaming "walk out the door" in Cirque d'hiver...That part of GK is my fav, when everybody shouts like that. Ever since the PDP DVD I dreamed of doing that too...oh, yeah nice dreams eh?:roftl:

    :tears: geez...

    A bientot,

    Bianca

    xx

P.S. I hope I will eventually stop crying. If I do this here, I wonder what am I going to do there? My feelings are the world's (my world at least) greatest mystery...I will probably start shivering and get jelly feet.

If we are not far from each other -I bought an area 1 ticket- I will lend you a friendly shoulder to weep on :crybaby: but you are probably going to stop crying the moment Mica jumps on stage :fangurl: ...

    Marie-Thérèse

  15. Oh no, my passport is too old, i suppose that an identity card won't work?

too late to get a new passport , this venue seems so small.

    Blame on stupid Lillibet!:sneaky2:

    Nooooo !

I remember waiting for my passport before the Beirut gig and not knowing until a couple of days before the flight if I would receive it on time... I was frantic !

You ARE referring to the NYC gig, aren't you ? Because ID card is OK for the UK which, incidentally, is in the European Union, even if it is not always obvious :wink2: .

    Marie-Thérèse

  16. QUOTE=LeiRe;2311787]:roftl:

Nothing wrong at all... Who knows? :wink2:

As for sitting on the pianist/lead singer's lap, I am not sure : on the one hand I am so slim and small that he would hardly notice me, on the other hand he obviously prefers more buxhom women...

Anyway just a front row stalls would make me very happy indeed

    :pbjt::fangurl::dance_man::swoon: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  17. Thank you Marie Andrée for taking care!

    in fact a kind lady helped me to get a better ticket,:wub2:so i am quiet now;

    i can spare my tickets , not very interesting : first circle seat 33 and stall rowR seat 8;

Anyway, i'll pick them up at the venue and perhaps find a desperate fan , no matter!

You are most welcome, that's what fans are for, helping each other out, isn't it ?

There will be loads of desperate people outside the theatre but beware, they are very strict at Sadler's Wells about selling tickets outside the venue, so be discreet, like all good professional dealers :wink2: !

    Marie-Thérèse

  18. well i wouldn't want anybody to give up their seats for me, which is why i post this reply on the EXTRA ticket thread ;)

I am sure you have been fixed by now, but if not PM me and I'll try to help you out.

I can imagine flying over to Beirut -the farthest I have gone so far for a M gig- and even more expensive than crossing the pond- and finding myself miles from the stage and I can imagine what it must feel like !

    Marie-Thérèe

  19. It's seem i have a ticket "stalls" sold by a friend, hope there won't be ANY problem at the venue because my name is not the same which was booked.

I think your friend should email them, I had the same pb at Brixton Academy and only the help of a lovely man from M's entourage saved me from watching the show outside the theatre :naughty: .
