Monie : where do you live exactly ? Is Dunkerque (France) on your way to Paris or not ?

 

I live in the Netherlands, not sure if Dunkerque is in the right direction for me, is it north or south from Paris?

You can bring earplugs, but they won't be necessary. Sound engineers should stick to the concert rules and keep the sound at a maximum of 100 db, far below ear damage.

 

A little backpack/bag is usefull. Or a coat around your waist and something to eat and drink in a plastic bag you can throw away after the concert. NOT THE COAT, just throw away the plastic bag. Keep your coat with you. You want to stay in front of the stage, not in front of the cloakroom.

 

Time to meet? In Westerpark we arrived at 12:00 and it was already crowdy. 11:00?

 

€6 or €10 for parking?? All carparks in the area use the same prices. I hope a maximum of €10 per day, since we will be there all day . Westerpark was €22 for a day

Parking prices in Amsterdam can be insane, if I go to school I pay 18 euro for a parking card (that's why I usually go by train).

I'm still in doubt whether I shall go or not. I can get a ticket, no problem, but traveling by airplane or Thalys is just too expensive. Perhaps I can get a ride from somewhere but everything considered it is going to be a looooong trip (and I have to be back at school the next day). Does anyone know a not so expensive place to stay (if I go I will nap a few hours before heading to school )? It's all kind of last minute (because I missed the Barcelona gig) but as Mellody said, that's the way things go in Mika land .

Actually I find that they usually don't check bags all that well. (At this venue I've actually had them ask me 'Can I look in your bag' while all they did was feel the outside of it, without even opening it. )

I bought stacks of mini playing cards and the idea is to sew them onto a red or black t-shirt. If the shirt is red I will wear black pants, if the shirt is black I will wear red pants.

I know: not much of a queen of hearts outfit, but at least it is a playingcard theme.

bought some plastic grass yesterday to accompany the flowers. if i go on like that, my costume won't be just a flower garden but the whole wonderland! well, why not, it's alice in wonderland, and although we have all the characters, we have no one being the "wonderland" yet!

I bought a ticket tonight for a Dutch festival where Mika will perform. It was my protest to the whole situation.

yes,that´s what he said,but now things have changed and the news are that airports will remain closed perhaps for a week long.... he could change his mind if he´s still in France.....

I don't think so. If he can make it, he'll be there.

I wish he had rented a few more cars for his fans to be able to come too .

the tragedy that ppl is experiencing at airports, rail stations, departure/arrival places is shocking. in our airports they are preparing camp beds for travellers.
