  1. Thank you Kath, for all the trouble you have gone through! Do you know if one has got to take the whole menu or can order just a few things from the menu? It would be a shame, for example, if I had to take the whole menu while I only can eat a few things from it, being a veggie. I know a lot of people are enthousiastic about this restaurant but is it possible to check another one also? I don't consider the choice very large here and it's not much cheaper then an everage restaurant I think. A private room would have been wonderful though, it's a shame one can't hire them on Saturdays.
  2. Yes, some veggies do eat fish, some don't, I don't (and I would love to eat something more than just an egg ). I have no answer from the restaurant yet.
  3. Neither do I (I don't even know the other Dutchies). But I figure we will get to know each other quite quickly with a party like this one .
  4. The large tables sound great, I send them (the restaurant, not the tables ) an email to ask if they have good vegetarian food as well. As I recall I'm not the only vegetarian, who's the other one, Silver I think? I'll let you know if there's an answer.
  5. 35 pounds per person sounds good. Since I don't know London at all I let you all decide which Travelodge is the best. It would be nice if everyone could stay at the same one but if that's not possible it's not really a problem if we stay in different lodges I suppose, since there's no conference room anyway and we will have to do our conferences in the restaurant or a bar or something .
  6. Ah, ç'est pour ça! Normmaly you would think feminin would be marrone but with marron its not. This is a very educational forum !
  7. Grüezi mittenand! 10 1/2 den, i bin a halbie schwiezerin . Emerald, your German is good! Violetsky, chonsch au zum Xmas party in London? Cheu me Schwiizerdütsch redde .
  8. That's a good start. Hopefully you will be "there" completely, when the time has come .
  9. Merci! In Dutch we say nous sommes été (wij zijn geweest). The rest is similar with Dutch (exept for nous nous sommes levés/assis, we say nous sommes levés/assis). In French that's means something else.
  10. I think some people will come fancy dress, some people won't. I think it's a good thing Mika won't be there. If he were I would be a little distracted and I wouldn't be the only one . Now I can focus on you all, that's the reason why I want to come, to see you IRL and to party with you:yay:! But hey, if Mika would insist on coming I wouldn't be the one to stop him .
  11. I will not let him get near my beautiful but way to expensive new skirt!
  12. Well speak, speak. My Swiss-German is better then my French I must confess. My grandparents didn't speak Dutch so as a child, every time we were in Switzerland I had to speak Swiss-German with them. When you are a child you learn a foreign language quickly. It's a shame no one spoke French with me when I was a child . Das isch ebbe am wichtigste, das me cha versta was i schribe . Ah, Zug, i chenne de nahme.
  13. Really! What did I sign up for in November. Would love to see the pictures of that party though . I hardly drink, so I won't be much fun drinkingwise, but I do dance, wildly, if requested .
  14. . Maybe I should not wear my expensive new skirt. Maybe I will just wear something old for this occasion.
  15. Starrats, you can travel with me if you want and I am sure we can get Ingie and Blue to come as well, it's not november yet. So, 1 Dutchie who is sure she will come (unless I am having an extreme flue or something but let's not talk about that), althought technically, I am just half Dutch. So: a half Dutchie is coming anyway !
  16. Dankge . Its luestig fu mi Schwiizerdütsch lese, schriebe tue i fonetisch . Schribe han i no nie gmacht. Mine schwester wöhnt i'm Franzöischem part vo de Schwiiz, mine mueter chohnt vo Bern.
  17. Every time I say avons it should be sommes and the other way around . I have got the solution: every time I want to write avons I will write sommes and the other way around.
  18. Thank you for correcting my errors, I'm glad if you do!
  20. Salut Emilie, je suis bien merci. Et toi? I just saw you added another lesson in our French class . I added an animal .

  22. Gruezi! I bi a halbi Schweizerin, meine mutter ist Schweizerin, mein fater Hollander und ich wohne in Holland, meine schwester in die Schweiz! Das vegt, Schweizerduetsch lese, aber schriebe kann i nit.
  23. You see, you can't miss this party, so many mysteries are going to be revealed (now I have an image in my head of FD in a Santa costume wearing a collar ) .
