  1. Have been meaning to write a full review all day but have just not had the chance.... sorry But now, tbh, I dont think its necessary as I think cazgirl, jazzy, ingie, freddie etc have pretty much got it covered! So in short i had a fab evening on Saturday with everyone who met up at Weatherspoons. Lovely to see people who i had met before and also to meet some new people too. Thank you to everyone for making my friend Zoe so welcome - she said you are all absolutely lovely and incredibly friendly and welcoming so thank you!!! Then Sunday we arrived at Eden at about 10.30. we bumped into Rose and Laurel (when i was interrogating a security guy about where people will queue later in the day! haha) and we ended up going around the rainforest biome together. We were joined by others, and had a lovely time walking around. We heard that people were queuing already and had numbers (eek!) but we had decided we didnt think that would work as there were 2 seperate entrances. We went over to meet everyone there though, and then went to grab some lunch with Jazzy, Viv, Freddie, Ingie et al Again everyone made Zoe feel really welcome so thank you!! After lunch we ended up queuing on the shady side of the arena, while others went to watch the football. It was lovely just sitting out in the sun chatting we also got to listen to the soundcheck too, and said hello to Sara, Babs, Caz etc who joined the queue a little later than us Maria came out and asked who wanted to be lollipop girls/big girls etc and we jumped at the chance. I know Caz and Jazzy have covered this but the main highlights were seeing Mika and the band before the gig (Mika walked into the changing room as i was being tied into my corset by Maria), meeting Mama P again (she is just the sweetest!), and just having an absolute ball with everyone else backstage Ingie, Freddie, Jazzy and I had been discussing dance moves to do for lollipop but that all went to pot when Jazzy ended up the other side of the stage, and then when Ingie and Freddie were pulled to the middle of the stage. But Ingie and I did manage to get one little twirl in You cannot see anything in that mask, and they really affect how easily you can move, so i have no idea how i managed to do anything even resembling decent dancing. have just watched the video and my arms and legs were all over the place haha. Was such great fun though Afterwards we had a photo with Mika and chatted with him too. Wont repeat this as the others have covered it. But just to say he was terribly sweet and absolutely gorgeous (which goes without saying right??). I just kept looking at him thinking how beautiful he is.... sad fangurly moment eh? but you all understand i am sure Am gutted that i cannot go to Edinburgh (believe me i have tried to sort it today) as am already missing everyone already. Particularly loved getting to know Ingie and Freddie - you guys rock! by the end of the night i felt like i had known you for ever! you really helped make it so much fun for me. Just need Mika to announce some new dates for gigs (preferably somewhere i can get to easily) as i hate not having another gig booked to go to (first time in a year i dont have a Mika gig to look forward to i think....!)
  2. there are a couple of pics of me and my friend Zoe as big girls on your photos, any chance i could copy them to my PC and post them on my facebook? dont want to do it without permission but would like my non MFC friends to see the pics if possible can you let me know? thanks x
  3. Ingie i love you had such a great time last night, missing you all already... feels so strange to be back home again!
  4. just before they went on stage, Ingie and Freddie swapped masks. So freddie wore the cow mask and i think Ingie was a pig?! not sure tbh. It was easier for her to see out of whichever mask she changed to x
  5. noooo! your pics on fb are great, you should share them with everyone They had too many big girls, which is why Mrs P/Maria asked Jazzy to join Freddie and Ingie
  6. Silver, thank you so much for organising the wristbands. I loved mine and wore it all day today too Mika really did love his, and you should have seen his face when we told him backstage that they had been made especially for him/this gig (Jazzy told him you had organised it). He was absolutely delighted with it
  7. that was me my friends had gone off to the toilet so i took the opportunity to meet iMMa and Cherisse

  9. Thank you for all the fab videos - have spent the last half hour or so watching them (as am home alone today). Lovely x
  10. Laurel, so brave of you to type up your report. I have tears in my eyes at reading it. I know we have had a brief chat on PM but I just want to send you my love again and to tell you that I am thinking of you often at the moment xxx
  11. Quick report from me I brought my friend Ruth along (tealstar21) and it was her first EVER gig - not just first Mika gig but first gig ever. So it was quite a big deal for her. I explained in advance that i would want to be queuing from early on and she was happy to go straight to HMH from the airport So we arrived in the queue just before 10am. I would just like to say thank you to all the MFCers who made her feel so welcome. The queuing was great, despite it being cold and wet (the wind was horrid). We especially loved the drinks and cakes/doughnuts from Mika but also just generally how lovely and friendly everyone was. We went over to the cafe for lunch at the wrong time - just as Freddie was trying to get everyone back into number order and to discuss what was happening with the MFC queue. So we ran back, leaving half eaten meals behind us (though we did manage to glug down our wine before leaving!). We were then delighted to hear that we could leave the queue for a bit so we went to our hotel and checked in/got changed etc. We then went back to the queue later on Tealstar21 tried to be a big girl but MrsP told her she was too small and there were enough LollipopGirls already. Thanks to Vicky who tried to change MrsP's mind We were lucky enough to get front row positions, slightly to the left of centre. The concert was amazing , I had tried really hard to avoid seeing too much about the new concert material, so most of it was new/a surprise to me. I especially loved GGG and Ida's singing. I was a little sad though to be completely on the other side of the stage to Jimmy and iMMa - they really help make the show, and we couldnt see them much from where we were There was quite a lot of pushing when the gig started with people trying to get through to the front. Wasnt overly impressed with that, but we didnt let anyone through i wasnt going to give up my position after hours of queuing. Afterwards we went and bought a programme and walked around outside but couldnt see any other MFCers, so went back to the hotel (as it was cold and wet and we had only had 3hrs sleep the night before). I am sure i will have plenty more opportunities to meet Mika in the future, and i also felt that those with costumes on had more of a right to meet him, as they had made such a fantastic effort The costumes were awesome, they looked amazing I did feel that there was less eye contact than normal, well on our side of the stage anyway. He seemed a little distracted or tired. But maybe that was just me that felt that. But despite that, the whole gig was fantastic, I loved every single minute of it :mf_lustslow:

  14. I thought it was beautiful - haunting and a stunning performance. A definite highlight for me too. Am really pleased with the quality of my video
  15. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=176678&id=666671765&l=0dd201cd5e my pictures from yesterdays gig. report to follow (possibly tomorrow - really should spend some time with my husband now i am back home ) have 2 videos uploading to youtube but they wont be online til later/tomorrow. will post the links when i have them
  16. I cannot wait - early flight tomorrow morning with my friend Ruth (tealstar21), counting down the hours now, feel like i should be going later today (keep forgetting i have a whole evening/sleep before i leave for the airport!) See you all tomorrow
  17. the novotel is next door according to my friend who has been before - not cheap though
  18. i looked at the CitizenM place too - that was my 2nd choice. rooms looked small though and could only see doubles not twins (prefer a twin if i can get one) i might be wrong though and might just not have looked properly We will have all day on the sat to sightsee as our flight is just before 7pm i think. And hubby said he would give me £120 towards costs of this - i think its only costing me about £160 all in, bargain!
