    The same here. Back then in 80 tees my dad used the man fragrance "Tobacco" along with "Old spice". Do you remember them? At some point they suddenly disappeared from my life... As for musk I still have a one which can be still bought in Germany: "Jovan" (musk oil parfume for women) and it was also very popular when I was much younger.

    Dear bunnies, our lovely bunny Sarah passed away on Tuesday evening. She had a heart attack. Keti and I are so devastated, can't beleive she left us after almost six years.

    I can get it. The same was with me and Keti last year. After Germany we have his gig in our country.

    And the tragedy is that this year he comes to Hungaria, Romania and now to Ukraine and we can't go anywhere :sad:

    We concider the possibility to get to Kyiev though. Who knows?

And I'm very happy that you are vox populi on this forum. Please keep going that way. You're also not obliged in any way to reply my posts, cos no one is interested in them as you put it. On the contrary, I actually was enjoyed the discussion, but you got it all wrong.

    Ok, if you say so We don't have to agree if you prefer:wink2: Especially when you pull the first part of my post out the context. I just wanted to keep going with the lyrics interpretation not to deny what you've said. After that I was pointing out their status as celebreties, and not their real value in our or public eyes. Tabloids obviously follow every step of Katy Perry as well even though she's not shallow as you say...cos she IS concidered as a celebrity. No need to split hairs cos it's a common sense.

    I don't see any crutial discrepancy between your and my opinion. If he wrote his lyrics based in some real life prototype (it's also case with "Lonely Alcoholic"), it doesn't change too much in the concept of understanding its meaning in the final version. Lyrics and art could never simply imitate some empirical facts, but always transform them into a piece of art. For instance, all of actual female celebrities were some unknown girls back then craving for a fame. Even if you concider them shallow today, they're have still become celebrities, whatever we might think about them.

    It can be also true, based on his own words which I rememeber pretty well. But at the same time I don't buy his explanation for granted, cos writting lyrics always includes numerous and more complex elements, not only one. I In this particular case the point is that these girls were seeking for a sugar dady to acomplish their ambitions, even though that finally led them to (self)distruction. So he tried to construct a certain type of a girl/woman who sell their soul to devil for pleasure, wealth and career.

    It's a pretty strange and unexpected choice of topic and I had to read it a couple of times to grasp where's the point of his writting. Anna Nicole Smith wanted to achieve her american dream and to become a new Marylin Monroe. And what Mika critisizes is the fact that media used in a sly way her personal tragedy (drug abuse and her son's death), which twisted their conventional perception as a successful, beautiful diva. The other thing that bothers him is the very concept of directing opera inspired by her life. He felt that it should have been directed in a different way, streessing its tragic potential (mother and son relationship on the first place). Something in her life story obviously has deeply driven him in a symphatetic and compassionate way, and I agree with Sabine that his lyrics could have been also affected with her life story. It doesn't come to her personal ethic that much here (which is dodgy) but for the morality of the society and media, which partly destroyed her as a human being imo.
