  1. MIKA official ‏@mikasounds 17m

Ascolto Biagio Antonacci dal vivo su RTL102.5 , una voce bellissima, mi emoziona ! @AntonacciBiagio

Could someone explain what this tweet is about?

Mika seems to be listening on the radio RTL102.5, Biagio Antonacci, a famous Italian singer....this night he is in Bari for a gig and it is possibile to listen to his concert on the radio...

  2. In my opinion, Fedez is a smart and intelligent guy, he might be a good judge and could be interesting and fun to see him interacting with Mika and Morgan. I do not like his music, but I can not deny that rap is now a reality in Italy and the choice of XF of including it into the competition, could be right. It's a rap created in "an italian way", often accompanied by a melodic line and mixed with other genres of music. The lyrics deal with social or personal issues, but the risult is very often very superficial and commercial, with short rifs that enter in your mind. They should be modern songwriters...bah! They have a lot of following, especially among the younger, and they sell a lot of records...around them there is a lot of interest in this moment. We'll see!.

  3. So, this is the third judge, a young italian rapper, Fedez. :mf_rosetinted:

Fedez judge of X-Factor 8, it's official. In June, new casting

We had seen particularly thoughtful and composed a few days ago in Milan, special guest along with his friend J-Ax, of the Wired Next Fest, intent on telling the genesis of Newtopia, their record label 'ready' to accept new rappers. Now, after the recent rumors and predictions, comes the news that everyone was waiting for. For many it is a confirmation, Fedez will be one of four judges of X-Factor 8: Morgan at his side, Mika and - probably - Victoria Cabello. [...]

  4. Wow, what a news! Mika and Fo working together ! Who knows what will come out? And the show will be broadcast on public television in prime time !

Two words about this particular show, if you like, that Fo is playing in theater throughout Italy with much success.

In the show , Fo is a storyteller, he is alone on stage with the public around him, according to the oral tradition that was used in the Middle Ages: someone tell a story and spontaneously gathered around him a small crowd of curious listeners.

He tells to the public the life of Francesco (Assisi 1182-1226 AC), who founded the religious ordin of "Francescani", and who is venerated as saint from the catholic Church. The figure of Francesco, about a year ago, inspired the name of our current pope Bergoglio.

Fo recites in the dialect spoken in the region of Umbria in central Italy , where Francesco was born.

Fo's show is a sort of narrative - historical document , the result of much study and research. He tells the story , however, in comical and ironic way, adding special little episodes almost unknown, some rediscovered copies of Benedictine monks diaries immune to censorship of the Church.

The youthful figure of Francesco is very interesting to tell, because Francesco in his life, has been very "cumbersome" and annoying to the power : precocious , rebellious, intelligent, educated, rich...he gave up everything to live in poverty closed to nature...a pure and rigorous man, especially for preaching the absolute poverty of the Ministry of God, openly threatening the glories and powers in which the Church wallowed for centuries .

We'll see what Mika has to do with the story of St. Francesco ......:mf_rosetinted:

  5. Mika in Piazza Plebiscito for Nutella Day : " Beautiful city, it's amazing!

He starts with "Relax" and the crowded square explodes. "It 's the first time in this beautiful city , it's amazing ," his first greeting. And it announced a successful concert Mika , the only gig in Italy in 2014, which closed in Naples Nutella Day for the 50th anniversary of the most famous hazelnut cream in the world.

The roar of the Piazza del Plebiscito, crowded throughout the day by about a hundred thousand people , welcomed Mika , optical jacket and white shirt. The star was born in Beirut, but of English adoption , it is also very famous in Italy as a judge on " X Factor " on Sky and he has not been making a concert in our country for a long time.

"I'm happy to play in a city like Naples and one of the most beautiful squares in the world," he wrote on his social network .

" Piazza Plebiscito square has become more and more of the people, we have to bring it to life ," says the Mayor. " Naples today is full of people everywhere. Soon we will publish data on employment generated by tourism and culture . 'Our economy is turning , we want to give a message of hope and motivation to invest " .

And ' satisfied de Magistris for the city's response to a Sunday full of events , after days of controversy on the use of Piazza Plebiscito for a business appointment , but free , which saw the contrary of the superintendent.

"Now that there are no more obstacles - the mayor said , referring to the Tar [a law court] free way - we will move forward with the events but not all. Leave by June calls for the assignment of the premises under the portico of the church of San Francesco di Paola , in collaboration with the Curia and the Prefecture , and I hope in the allocation already after the summer. Naples has so far proved up to the big event - insists de Magistris recalling the opening of funicular railways and metro until 2 am , today and throughout the summer except in August - and garnered compliments from all of these events that we need to improve. "

And a hundred thousand people live on the web , for 75 minutes of the best of Mika , glam- pop star born in Beirut but English by adoption , famous in Italy, especially after the experience with Sky to judge X Factor (which repeats ) while not having won (but he won The Voice in France) . Preceding his performance a day of events for families (one hundred thousand slices of bread and Nutella offered) and an afternoon of music opened by the Neapolitans Almamegretta on the stage in front of the Basilica of St. Francis of Paola and as caught between two mega barattoloni Nutella . To perform in the afternoon on a square is always full , Adele , James Senese and Napoli Centrale , Arisa, Giuliano Palma.

  6. So. He has spoken in italian a lot and very well! He said several times to be very emotioned, and it showed. He said again that the concert in Naples was the only one for this summer, in Italy and in the rest of the world. He performed a duet with Chiara in italian on Stardust and The Origin of Love. He translated part of Lollipop and has sung it in Italian. So cute!!!

At one point he ran out of breath after having danced and said: "I've done too much television and not enough concerts!" :teehee:

It was so sweet tonight, I'm emotioned just to see him in streaming. :wub2:

  7. 'with sparks of something new'?

L'articolo dice esattamente questo: "...sarà un modo per concentrare il meglio in un tempo breve, magari anche con lo spazio per qualche sprazzo di novità".

Io l'ho tradotto con: "...with sparks of something new"

In ogni caso, vuole dire tutto e niente....:teehee::teehee::teehee:

I've posted the exact italian words of the article...and they are quite generic about this "something new"... of course...

  8. Mika in Naples as in Beirut: "Song to the streets to feel the life of the people"

    (translation)

A concert in Naples, Plebiscito Square, is a special concert. Mika knows it very well.

" Naples is fantastic, but for me it will not be strange to do a concert like that. I am Lebanese , I know what it means the relationship with the public in a place so important to the daily lives of people . When I played in Martyr Square in Beirut it was a special night , because that was the place where everybody goes, a lived square , full of life. I can not wait , it's a wonderful city . "

Mika is coming to Naples for a show in a long day organized in Piazza Plebiscito for 50 years of Nutella, on sunday 18 May.

"It's a city that I love very much, a city rich in art and culture , full of life and passion, warm and communicative. But I come with great respect, " is keen to point out after the many controversies that have marked the granting of the square for the event, " I feel the responsibility and pride to have an extraordinary opportunity to play in the parlor of the city . I like the idea of bringing my songs in a space so beautiful, in the heart of a city so beautiful."

The day's program in Naples is very rich : there will be Almamegretta at 16 , at 17 will be the turn of the talented Simona Molinari, at 18 will come to the sensational jazz rock of James Senese & Napoli Centrale , followed at 19.15 by Arisa, fresh winner of the Sanremo Festival , at 20.15 we will dance on the rhythm of ska, reggae and soul of Giuliano Palma and then the time will be at 21:30 with Mika .

"My set, will not be a complete set - is keen to point out - I'll be on the scene just over an hour. But it will be a way to concentrate the best of my music in a short time, maybe even with sparks of something new."

Mika is in Paris , working on his new album, another step forward in his successful career , another attempt to put together , as he did in his previous works, pop, fun, quality and art.

After the success of last years, working on a new album is also a way to make a sort of budget ?

"In part, yes of course , it starts from where we come , you must know how far you've traveled and how. But I'm not working with a particular pressure , I take the time that i need, I work six weeks in the studio, then I go back to writing, and then I focus back on the recordings . What really interests me is music and not success, then I want to be satisfied by the work I do, I want my work reflecting what I am today, without pretense or artifice . "

Certainly for an artist like Mika performing live, establish a direct contact with the public, communicate his art physically, is more important than making an album.

"This is partly true - he says - because the excitement of the show is incomparable , you have the opportunity to stage all that you are , to interpret the songs with the greatest energy and passion. But also working in the studio is important, and especially the song writing. If it were not so , I would be only an interpreter . "

  9. Here the translation.

  10. There are people who think that participating in a talent show, both as a judge and as a competitor, it's a shame. And they continue to criticize everyone who make these shows, and especially those who have success thanks to these shows. :aah:

I think Mika knew it perfectly when he made his choiches.

According to me it is not fair. For me, these shows are just a way to remain popular... and to remain popular for a "pop heroe" :blush-anim-cl: is crucial. There are people who can do that only with their music, and there are those who can not. Mika can not, even if he is a great artist. This is the truth. He is not the first nor the last artist to be in this situation.

There are those who are content to a less numerous audience and to earn less...there are those who are not satisfied and choose to try and make many different things. All choices are honest and sincere, for me, if they allow you to earn a living and to continue to make music.

If the new disk of Mika will be great, if I'll have the opportunity to see him on a stage ... I'll have to thank also the popular television.

If the new disk of Mika will be bad, it will not be the fault of the television, but of Mika himself. I see no shame in this, Mika simply lives his time as he can. The point, for me, is always how he does what he does.

And for now, in everything he does, he puts his heart and his head, and for me it's sufficient. :thumb_yello:
