Hi, this is Yuko. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but I managed to go to Creepy Neighbour's gig for the first time in July in London, so I would like to share some videos I recorded. I was in London for my holiday. Max threw a gig in a perfect timing, so I was able to visit. 【Max】 As always, Max was very cheerful and very kind so I really enjoyed talking with him. It was great to see him again, especially at a venue, when he is a main vocalist of his own band. After the gig, he told me that he always moves around on the stage of Mika's concerts, but for his gigs, he has to stay in front of the microphone to sing a whole song playing the base from the beginning to end, so he has to try not to move, and that's one of the different things between the two. I think he tweeted about the condition of his vocal chord at the beginning of July, but from hearing his singing voice, it sounded ok to me. 【Curtis】 Curtis was also there. I heard that there were a Creepy Neighbour's gig without him in the past, so I felt very lucky. It was my first time to talk with him, but he talked to me kindly and friendly so that made me feel comfortable to have a conversation with him. Although it was a short time, I kind of saw his personality and now I understand more, why Mika trust him so much. 【Harry & Sam】 Of course, not to mention, Max's brother Harry(drum) and Sam(guitar) were very nice too. Harry kept smiling and the way he looked at Max, was telling how much he loves his little brother. I wish I managed to take a good photo or a video of his big and gentle smile. Sam(guitar) looked a bit scary at first but he was a kind of cute guy. When I asked him if I can have his autographs on a CN cap, he signed and took a picture of it himself, which was very sweet. 【7 songs】 Their stage was really great. I really like Max's songs so I really enjoyed watching them play live. Sometimes I sang along. It was really good for me that I could see Max and Curtis as much as I want. Because if it's Mika's concert, my eyes are fixed on Mika, trying not to miss a thing. So actually in the recent concerts, I really tried to see them properly during Staring At The Sun, when I can't see Mika. I really don't know how to explain how much I enjoyed their gig. Please watch the videos, although the quality isn't good. Thank you so much for sharing this! I just watched this. 2 hours seemed a bit long but it passed so quickly! Very interesting to know about Harry Nilsson like this. I kind of felt lucky that I was happened to know about him through Mika. Now I can imagine more clearly how much Mika got excited when he listened to Harry Nilsson's CD in the car, and find out more about his songs and influenced by him automatically.

Also, please understand that I just kept recording while I was focusing on looking at him with my own eyes. One year had passed since Mika came to Japan last, and I added some videos now that I recorded during the concerts last year. Actually I recorded a lot in Tokyo, because I was in the front row for the first time. But I only shared a few last year, because my speaking voice and singing voice were too loud and sounded ugly. Also, unfortunatelly you can't see Mika's face clearly because of the lights. But the time heals. (lol) It's still embarassing but I don't care about it as much as before. More than that, I really want to share the atomospher, and his great performance with his great Japanese speaking skills. I really like enjoying between the songs as well, so some of them are long. こんにちは。Yukoです。 大変大変遅くなりましたが、Greeting Mika in the dressing room on New Year’s Eveの日本語レポです。 NaoMikaさんの分かりやすいレポがありますが、私のレポも添えさせて頂きます。 いつも長いばかりで、皆さんの求められているものが書けているか分からないのですが、、。 英語ではこちらに投稿済みです。＃90 http://www.mikafanclub.com/topic/31836-mika-for-charity-newseventsfoundationscauses/page-5#entry4083682 今回、NaoMikaさんから事前にお声掛け頂き、オークションの落札額を半額負担する形でGuest枠にて参加させて頂きました。 大変思い出に残る、Mikaとの貴重な時間を頂き、このチャンスを下さったNaoMikaさんはもとより、 Mika本人、Mikaママ、そしてこの企画に関わってくださったすべての方への感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。 こんなに嬉しいことがあって、私はどこに（Mika達以外に）何をどう還元したら良いのやらと思っていたのですが、 少なくとも寄付金という形で、微力ながら世界のどこかにいる貧困国の親子の助けになれていることが有難く、こういうものがチャリティーオークション企画であることの意義を感じておりました。 ただ、まさか本当に落札できるとは、、 NaoMikaさんから落札！のご連絡を頂いた時は、ひたすら「えーーーー？」という言葉しか出てきませんでした。 これがFirenzeに経つ1週間前のことだったので、年末の仕事納めに向けてラストスパートをかけつつ、ばたばたとFirenzeへと向かうことになりましたが 何か少しでも、楽屋にお伺いするにあたりちゃんとした日本的な贈り物を、と思い、手土産の一つに日本酒を選びました。 それを受けてNaoMikaさんは盃を持っていくことにされまして、 結果videoメッセージも、あのようなちょっと“和風”（笑）なものとなりました。 私がプレゼントしたのがお酒だと分かるやいなやMikaの方から「乾杯しよう！」と言ってくれたのですが、もし時間もあってMikaと乾杯できたら、、、と話をしていた私達は大興奮でした。 そう、とにかく私達はこのGreetingは”very short”になると言われていたので、いったいどれだけの時間が貰えるものなのか、どういう状況で会えることになるのかも全く想像ができなかったのです。 「乾杯しよう！」と言った次の瞬間には数歩先にあった棚の前にかがんでワイングラスを取っていたMika。その速さ、頭の回転と行動に移すアクションと実際の動きそのものの速さには目を見張るものがありました。移動に関しては、あの足の長さも一役買ってたかと思いますが。笑 NaoMikaさんも、あのスピードには驚かれたようなので、やはり相当な印象だったのだと思います。 私達は興奮しながら「盃も持ってきたの！」と伝えるのが精いっぱいでしたが、Mikaは準備しながらも聞き逃さずに、返事をしてくれました。 日本酒は金粉入りのものにしたのですが、Mikaは「わー、金粉が入ってるんだ。」と言ってから少しの間、自分の世界に入り込むかのように、じーっと瓶を目の前に掲げて金粉を眺めてました。 そして私はそんなMikaをじっと眺めてました。笑 videoメッセージでは「明けましておめでとうございます」と日本語を披露してくれたMikaですが、実はその前に乾杯をした時に、「Happy New Yearは日本語で何て言うの？」と聞いてきてくれてました。 その後videoメッセージを撮らせて貰えることになって、NaoMikaさんがカメラを準備してる間、Mikaがすっと私のところに歩み寄ってきたので、何かと思ったら日本語の復習タイムでした。笑 突然のことでびっくりして見上げたらMikaの顔の下半分しか見えなかったという。笑 二人で向かい合っての復習タイムは幸せのひととき、、のはずなのですが、感覚がマヒしてしまっていたのか舞い上がるようなドキドキ感はなく、知り合いに日本語の単語を教えてるような感覚で、ごく普通のテンションでした。 Mikaの耳の良さ。発音そしてイントネーションの良さは本当に素晴らしいですね。 日本語には馴染みがあるものの、一回で聞き取って繰り返せる言葉の量が普通の人と違いました。 そしてMikaがはっきり聞き取れなかった細かい箇所を聞いて来た時、私の日本語の活舌の悪さを痛感しました。笑 Mikaの優しくそーっと喋る日本語、素敵ですよね。 ちょうど一年前のNHKホールで撮った動画を見返していたのですが、いつも日本でのコンサートで喋ってくれる沢山の日本語はどうやって覚えてるのかとか、聞いてくれば良かったです。 こちらの英語はどれほど通じていたのか、、と思いますが、Mikaって話を聞いてないんじゃかと思うような反応の時も実はしっかりと聞いててくれて、 私が言ったことを反復して返事をしてくれることも多く、おかげで安心して会話を進めることができました。 ただ、言ったことの意味が通じなかった時は、聞き返すこともしてくれず真顔で見つめてくるだけでしたが（爆笑） 反復については、インタビューとかでも養われたコミュニケーション術なのだと私は思ってるのですが、 例えば"It's already New Year in Japan!"と私が言うと、"Oh, it's already New Year in Japan!"と返す感じで、 Mikaがほぼ同文で返してくれることで、こう言ったんだよね？という確認がお互いにできるという。 自然と配慮のあるやりとりをしてくれたのだと思います。 しかも、そこで得たちょっとした情報を、後でメッセージに盛り込むという、完璧ですよね。 今回あまり砕けたところは見せてくれなかったMikaなのですが、でも決して堅苦しすぎるわけではなく、こちらが必要以上に緊張するような雰囲気を作るわけでもなかったので、 私がぽろっと発した言葉にも普通に反応してくれたり、とてもスーパースターと話してるとは思えない普通のフレンドリーなやりとりもできました。 今回、私は色々なところにMikaなりの気遣いを感じました。 英語があまり難しくならないような会話の進め方だったり、私達二人と平等に話そうとしてくれた気もしていて、とっても紳士的な面を見れた気がしています。 私が会話に入れなかった時があり、自分の存在感の薄さや自分のダメさに悲しくなっていたら、 その気持ちを察したかのように、私に声をかけてきてくれたりもしました。 その時、優しくも真剣なまなざしで見つめてくれたMikaのことは一生忘れないです。 Dressing roomの扉が開いた時は、奥にMikaとMikaママがきちんと立っててくれて出迎えてくれ、 私が部屋に入るタイミングが掴み切れずにいた時、「部屋が散らかってるよね、いつもこんな感じになっちゃうんだ。」と言って少し片付けようとしてくれたりしたのですが、 そんなこんなの様子のMikaを目の当たりにしてたら実際に本当のMikaの家に招かれたような気持にもなりました。 そしてMikaが自らグラスを用意して、お酒を全員分注いで乾杯の準備をしてくれたり、実際に自宅に招いたお客をもてなすホストの役回りに徹してくれたような印象でした。 最後は、もうこれ以上時間が取れないんだと、バタバタと支度を整えて部屋から去っていくMikaの後ろを私達が追いかけるように退出し、逆に私達がMikaをお見送りする形になりましたが。 最後の最後、言い残したことは無いかと頭をフル回転させてMikaに伝えたことの一つは、やっぱりどうしても、”ありがとう”の気持ち。 歌手になってくれて、そしてMikaがやっている全てのことについて、どうもありがとうと伝えてきました。 私の英語で伝わったか心配になったのですが、「うん、楽しんでるよ！」と言ってくれました。 即答でしたし、そんなようなことを言われた時の決まり切った回答だったのかもしれないですが、そんな風に言えるって素敵だと思いました。 バックステージでの様子、Mikaの様子も少しは伝わったでしょうか？ 私から皆さんと共有できる映像や写真が少なくてすみません。 数少ない私が撮った写真は、NaoMikaさんが共有くださったフォルダの中に既に入っています。 最初に「写真を撮って良い？」とMikaに切り出したのは私だったのですが、その時のMikaの反応が、お酒を注いでいた手を休めないで顔も下に向けたまま、テンションも変えずにポツリと「うん」だけだったのも、ちょっと私がMikaにカメラを向けることを躊躇ってしまった理由の一つです。 写真撮影の時は、3人一緒で撮るのと、それぞれで撮るの、どっちが良い？とMikaが聞いてきてくれたのですが、 優柔不断な私に選ぶのは無理。答えは一つでした。「両方！」 いや、我慢してたものが出たのかもしれないです。 以前紹介させて頂いた私のblog（だらだらと書いている日記的なものですが。。）には、この日の様子も書いてますし、 そちらにはFirenzeで今回Mikaが立ち寄ったCaféや、前にインスタにアップしていたSanta Maria Novella 教会に行けた時のことも書いて、写真（数が多いのでほぼコラージュですが）もアップしてますので、もし興味がある方は覗いてみてください。 どれもこれも、MFCで出会った方々に仲良くして頂いたり、情報を日々共有頂いているおかげなので、本当に本当に感謝してます。 Mikaも待ち望んでいる日本でのSinfonia Popコンサートの開催も、一日も早く実現させて欲しいですね！

rinkoさん、 Blu-ray プレイヤーソフトの情報、ありがとうございます！ あの後、実家のプレイヤーで試したところ観ることができまして、、その後自分のPCでも観ることができました！ なぜ見れなかったのかが謎です。。 まだ全編は観れてないのですが、ゆっくり楽しもうと思います。 Casa Mika2も楽しみです。The Voiceも始まりましたね。The Art of Songのオンエアもあるようですし、楽しみましょうね♪

rinkoさん こんにちは。Yukoです。 すみません、すっかり返信遅くなってしまいました！ 日本語レポもこちらに書かせて頂こうと思いつつ、なかなか手が回らず。 当日、直後は興奮状態、その後じわじわと喜びを噛み締めたのも束の間、冷静になるにつれ後悔の渦の中でもがいたりしてたら1ヶ月経ってしまいました（笑） 思い出は記憶が薄れる前に書き留めたりしてあるので、早々に皆さんと共有できるものをアップさせて頂こうと思ってます。 私も昨年末にBlue-rayデビュー（PCのみ）したのですが、DVDと違ってヨーロッパとregionが違うとはつゆ知らず、、。汗 PCのソフトって何か購入されたのですか？ ご存知かもしれないですが、PCで再生できるのであればHDMIケーブルを使う手がありますよ？テレビに入力端子、PCに出力端子があればですが。 本当に、Mikaにとっても、Mikaファンにとっても良い年になりますように！ Yuko

Hi, this is Yuko. I was one of the luckiest person who got a chance to greet Mika at the backstage with my Mika-fan-friend NaoMika on New Year’s Eve in Florence. Starting with Mika, I cannot thank enough to the people who was involved to organize this event. And of course thank you NaoMika for giving me such an incredible chance. It really became a precious and unforgettable moment with Mika. Also, I’m glad to help someone in the world with my donations through Cesvi in return for this. Now it’s over and I really hope that Mika had enjoyed it too. I really appreciate Mika for everything, and for treating us very friendly that night. NaoMika’s report is very well written, but while my memory is fresh and clear enough, I would like to share mine as well. Please forgive me for some overlapped episodes, and I couldn't make it short. Also, I’m sorry that I didn’t take lots of pics nor vids of him to share. I really wanted Mika to feel comfortable without being pointed a camera at him, in such a special occasion that came into my life at last. I just took a few after getting his permission, and you can see them in the link that NaoMika had already posted. Taking pictures with him was one of my dream, because I never had a chance before. But don’t you think he looks a bit chubby in the photos? ( sorry Mika!) Well, as NaoMika had written, we finally got the instructions where to receive our backstage passes, in the evening on the actual day of the Greeting. Kept in suspense until then for 1 week, we were quite anxious and really worried that if there is a possibility to be cancelled at the last minute. With the instructions, we were told that it’s going to be a “very” short greeting. So, we really didn’t have any clue how long it will be or how it will be held. Trying to be ready for all kinds of situations that could happen, it turned out to be the best situation I could have imagined. So, when the door of the Mika’s dressing room was opened, Mika and his mama was standing at the corner of the room. Waiting and welcoming us with smiles on their faces, very politely. And in that room, I found no one else except for them. Wow. I’m sure Mika was wondering which fans will show up. And since I’m a pessimistic person and because we had already seen him several times by then, at the outside of the stage door of the Opera Di Firenze, telling him that we’re from Japan, so I started to feel quite embarrassed and I was thinking, “Sorry Mika…, it’s us again…” As lots of people had recognized, NaoMika’s dress was very beautiful (actually, it’s sequined and looks more beautiful than you see it through photos!) so with no doubt, Mika and his mama loved it in one glance, and started to tell her they love it and asked her where she got it. I loved it too! But as you can see in the photos, I was in a normal black and white dress, and although I was wearing my most important and gorgeous accessories that I’ve got, I started to feel small and misery. Why do I write the thing like this? Because I saw Mika’s personality here. He soon noticed that I was left out of that conversation, then he looked into my eyes and said “Your dress is beautiful too”. At that moment, I thought he was just trying to be polite, and “Thank you” was the only thing I could say to him. But now, I can’t forget that moment, because, especially when I was a child, I was a type of a person who is not noticed (not ignored on purpose) and left alone easily. Even now, it’s becoming very rare but I feel like I’m invisible, and I’m not heard even I speak out loud. So, I started feeling like “Oh no. Please. Not now…” But before that kind of timid me starts to come out, Mika had vanished it! Also, during this Greeting time, I noticed that he tried to talk with both of us equally. What a gentleman he is. After putting down my big bag in the short aisle in front of the door, I asked him “May we come in?” and although I heard him answered “Yes, come in!”, I still hesitated to enter because NaoMika wasn’t ready yet. But then he started to apologize that the room looks messy with all the gifts he received and he’s always like that and even tried to tidy up a bit. (Of course, at the same time, he said to us to look at all the amazing gifts, and he looked really happy!) That wasn’t a reason that I didn’t enter in right away though, that kind of his behavior that we happened to see, made me feel like I was invited to his own room. While NaoMika was taking time putting out her gifts, near the door, Mika was standing still at the corner of the room. He's a superstar but he was very modest! So I went in first and said “Congratulations on your another huge success, and thank you very much for inviting us.” But afterwards, he expressed his gratitude for the donations to both of us quite formally, so I thought I should have waited… But we are told that it’s going to be very short! Yes, how he prepared for the toasting was amazingly fast! Once he saw a bottle of “Sake” (the Japanese rice wine) that I brought, he said “Let’s toast!” and in the next instant he was already bending down in front of the cupboard which was a few steps away from him, to fetch some wine glasses. With excitement, I and NaoMika told him that she has brought some Japanese traditional cups, and he didn’t fail to hear it! Well, I’m so glad that my idea of bringing him some Sake (Japanese rice wine) ended up to be a great moment with him. At first I just wanted to bring him something Japanese and also something to celebrate him in a polite way. Then NaoMika decided to bring some Japanese traditional cups for him, so that we might be able to ask him to toast together, if we have enough time of course. So, when he said “Let’s toast!”, we thought he read our mind! I’m so happy that we were able to bring back such a nice video message for the New Year’s as well. I’m sorry it’s especially for the Japanese fans only though. While NoaMika was preparing her digital camera, he came to me to practice saying “Happy New Year” in Japanese. It wasn’t my first time standing right in front of him, but because I wasn’t aware of him walking towards me, when I looked up suddenly, what I could see was only the lower half of his face! oops! * Time flies when you're having fun… Although there are lots of “I shouldn’t have done/said that” or “Why I didn’t do/say that!”, in total, I was happy that he understood what I was trying to say in English, almost everything. (I’ve always been imagining talkin with Mika in English, so daydreaming is not always bad, I think! ) At the very end, as I was walking out from the room behind him, I managed tell him “Thank you for becoming a musician and doing everything what you do.” he replied me “Yes, I’m enjoying it!” If I’m allowed to wish more, I wanted to see childish and “enfant terrible” side of him as well. 明けまして、おめでとうございます。私もNaoMikaさんと、FirenzeのバックステージでMikaにGreetingさせて頂きました。 Very short greetingだと言われていた中、Mikaの好意により、日本のファンの皆さんにこういう形でMikaからのメッセージを持ち帰れたこと、本当に良かったと思ってます！ NaoMikaさんにも感謝です！ Mikaも快諾してくれて、本当に良かったです。 そんな Mikaの度量の大きさに乾杯 そして相変わらずのMikaの日本語の上手さにもブラボー！ そして、皆様、私達から言う前にMika本人から 日本でのSinfonia Popコンサート開催を、Mika自身が望んでることを言ってくれました 。 近い内に実現すると良いですね。
