  1. *ehem* Hi again... this is embarrassing...

So, thing is, I've kinda sorta kinda sorta lost my Lozzas *sob* and have come here once again to plead you lovely people for help, I think they're nowhere to be found anymore but if you have found/seen someplace to get them or know some way, I'd be grateful if you let me know, even though I might not be able to afford them right now, it's good to have options (sometimes).

It's ironic this happened to me cause I'm always so careful and paranoid, maybe I jinxed it by saying that, it always happens! I must always be proved wrong but I never learn do I? ... :aah:

...I think I lost them in London at the hotel I stayed in, like what sort of idiot brings SUNglasses with them to London in october? (Me, apparently <_< ) I was unusually absent minded, preoccupied but I always scan the room pretty well before I check out so have a feeling I didn't leave them there, maybe someone snatched them while I was out... :sneaky2:

I've asked the hotel about if they've found/seen them at their lost&found but no luck there. I was actually told they only keep things a certain amount of time, but what happens after? Are the items just thrown away, or does the staff have a field day picking and choosing...just wondering... I know it's just an object so have been trying to forget about this, but they were just so so special to me and actually made me feel better walking outside (silly maybe, but t'is true) and I just miss them and the way they smelled so lovely and hugged my face and and and...Ok, I'll just stop now! I'm rambling again, ugh why must I always do that!? Anyway, I really shouldn't be posting puplicly on the internet when I'm tired, I say strange things when I'm tired. Thanks for reading (those of you who managed to get through all that haha) and sorry for the ramblings again!

Oh MK, just saw this post, big hug  ! I've known about your lost of lozzas for a while but I never knew it's so important to you. I'll keep an eye in Chinese website, maybe there'a some luck.

  2. Here you go, yang:

"Um, when I was at music college, 'cause I went to the Royal College of Music and I studied to be a baritone. I was a really bad baritone. And we used to have all these different classes, and we had Italian class, German class, English-speaking class, which would be like My Fair Lady, that was my favorite, 'cause I have more accents than there are nationalities in this theater. And I can't help it, I sit in front of somebody and they could be from anywhere and I will copy the way they speak and they just want to punch me in the face and I just want to punch myself, but who gives a s**t? And I sang the same three songs in my Italian class for 2 1/2 years 'cause they didn't know that I was secretly writing pop songs. Anyway, all the students knew because they all played on my songs. All of them. Basically I didn't have a band so I put together, like, a cello player from here, a French horn player from over there, and I just orchestrated my songs based upon what I had around me to use and that's why my arrangements were often a little bit weird. But happily weird, because it was, like, you know, you start playing Vivaldi or Hindenmuth or Birck - ugh Birck -- sorry, didn't like Birck -- and I was like, do you want to come and sing a song about, you know, about the world ending or about lollipops and they were like YES! I'll do it for free! Anyway, one of my friends that sang was -- there's loads of friends that sang on my records, but the strangest friend that I had that sang on my record who then went on to be a doctor specializing in the MI6 and his name is Dr. Millar, but he can't save your life for s**t. He, he was a counter-tenor originally and then he went on to be an academic and really clever, potentially clever. Anyway he sang me a song 'cause I was like I wanted to do something that reminds me of being a singer when I was a treble, a treble singer, a boy soprano, 'cause that's how I started. Anyway, so then I was OK, you know what. I'll write the song and then we'll sing it and you'll be my counter-tenor duet. Everyone else was like featuring rappers, I do featuring counter-tenors. So he's now not a singer at all, but I've given him the opportunity to come and join me on stage. His name is Alex Millar. And he's dressed up like all the other tenors should. He's dressed up for the occasion. Hello Alex. Say Ni-hao. That's all the Chinese I can speak. This song's called Over My Shoulder."

    Thank you sooo much! :flowers2:

  3. It says in the article that the tickets of his concert in Shanghai went to over $300 dollars in the black market. I'll try to translate them later, it's a little blurry but I can read most of them :)

    Several interesting things:

he learnt traditional Chinese music in college, he actually got praised by school for writing a melody of Chinese lute.

Besides yoga and rope jumping, he also does boxing :boxing: as an exercise!

  4. Mika's feature in Elle Men China is finally out.

She's also translated some of the article into Italian. I'm translating that back into English below:

February in Shanghai: Mika is tall and slender, he arrives for the photo shoot in a t-shirt, jeans and plain sneakers. It is difficult to imagine that this boy in front of us is the same singer with refined and colorful costumes, that sings and dances illuminating the stage. One of the most famous and talented singers of pop music, Mika presents himself to us as a simple and humble kid. As soon as the first greetings are over, he begins to speak out at once with his English gentleman charm: polite, respectful but funny and entertaining. His spontaneous words followed by laughter or the small gestures that he makes involuntarily leave some beautiful impressions on those who listen to him.

The tickets for all his concerts of the Chinese tour have been sold out for a while and they tell us that the touts are selling tickets at stratospheric prices. Mika doesn't like this, this happens in other countries, too, the only thing that he can do now is promise to return more often for other dates in China.

Mika is very happy with his Chinese concerts, he says that 95 percent of the public is Chinese and they are kids from 15 to 25 years old, very young. Direct contact with the public is important for him because they have some amazing, but always positive, reactions.

After the tour he says that he will get to work on his two new albums: one will be a dance CD, not electro dance, the music of this CD will be all produced by real instruments, a retro dance disc like when you danced; the other album will instead have the influence of African music. He will collaborate with some African musicians, he knows that there are the same type of CDs already out there, but his will be different, mixing the unique style of Mika's pop music with African music.

Some new songs will come out at the end of this year and the album will be be completed in 2017. When I asked him what music represents for him his response is not what I was expecting: he says that music not only has brought him happiness, fame, money, but has really made him know himself.

Regarding sexuality, he says he never hid his orientation, you just have to look in his texts to see that he has always spoken of it.

Mika and his companion have been together for many years, he says that many think that the relationship of gay people is different, but his relationship is very stable, faithful and also very traditional.

It says in the article that the tickets of his concert in Shanghai went to over $300 dollars in the black market. I'll try to translate them later, it's a little blurry but I can read most of them :)
