sesil17aa Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 OK, this is not meaning to cast aspersions on the gifted among you who are so artistically gifted it makes one cry (I'm looking at YOU, JackViolet!)... but there are some of us who don't know which end of a MagicMarker to hold... let alone the idea of cartooning, or drawing, or actually creating a piece of ART... And yet... we still love MIKA! So... I don't need to create a club or anything... I just wanted to say this. MIKA. There are those of us who love love love you who are NOT artistically blessed. If someone asked me to write a 3000 word essay, it would be no problem. If someone asked me to bake a cake in your honor, I could do something fantastic in a heartbeat. But actual ART? YIKES! So, please know this. Just because the gifts we give to you are store-bought and not hand-made it does not mean they are any less heart-felt... it just means that if we try to draw a beautiful flower it will end up looking like a dessicated weed... so please don't judge us! We love you and want you to know it! And ladies and gents, for upcoming events... please keep in mind that there are those of us who don't know how to scrapbook, or collage, or quilt or do anything artsy whatsoever... and yet we still love MIKA! *sigh* That is all. dcdeb <the artistically challenged admirer> I understand you, I can draw, but I really get envious when I hear someone who has musically gifted, because I like to sing sooooo much but I do not have extraordinary voice and I'm sometimes very sad about that. And I think that's wonderful if you are literary gifted and you can write 3000 word essay. I have problems with that too. I sometimes feel very frustrated because I'm really not able to clothe my ideas in words, also when I wrote greeting text in my Mika card and spoke in audio message I realized that all that I said was sooooooooo little and even not very suitable of what I really felt. OK, so when I said I could write a 3000-word essay "no problem" perhaps I was taking a little poetic license. It would definitely be a PROBLEM... but I could do it eventually. My favorite quote that sums up writing best is one that goes something like: Writing is easy. elizabethlovesmika Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 haha u guys are funny! at least u guys have some stuff like either ur good at writing OR art OR both! i feel like im not good at anything! i mean my mom says oo ur good at writing and drawing but i look at it and im like EW THROW IT OUT! MY EYES ARE BURNING JUST LOOKING AT IT! haha i feel really bad sometimes cus my sis is like the best friggn artist i have ever seen! she has paintings and drawings framed all over my house..one day i tried to draw a pic of mika after seeing all of the aweeesome art on here! and after drawing the deformed circle i was like oh yah..i forgot haha my sis walked in and i tried to cover it up to hide it from her! i can bake cakes i guess!! i really like baking! and i have this weird talent..i memorize ppls teeth...i have no clue y...maybe im destined to be a dentist Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can see why people would feel inadequate when it comes to creating gifts for him, especially given the talents of a lot of his fans. Either I've been living a sheltered life or Mika and MFC is attracting an exceptional proportion of skilled artists. So many of the things I've seen here have been really amazing. Either I've been living a sheltered life or Mika and MFC is attracting an exceptional proportion of skilled artists. So many of the things I've seen here have been really amazing. Actually I've thought about that too. I would love to be able to give something back to him, to thank him for the pleasure his music has brought to me, in a way that he would appreciate most... but alas... unless the Amazing Artist Fairy comes 'round and sprinkles some magic pixie dust on me, it's not gonna happen... not in this lifetime, at least Oh well. I can say to you that I'm not very clever with arts, but I always try because I like to prove myself...and to give a little present.
