À quel point est-ce que c'est important pour toi les videos? Mika: Bon, pour moi c'est très important, moi j'aime bien l'idée que avec un vidéoclip, on peut donner une identité visuelle à une chanson, donc quand on pense à une chanson, on pense à une sorte de visuelle, Happy Ending, on pensait à moi dans les étoiles avec toutes ces petites mains qui flottait dans l'air, et après avec Golden (We Are Golden I guess ) on pensais à ses couleurs saturées avec un video qui étais assez... assez déstabilisant dans un sens mais c'est fait exprès, et tout les vidéos c'est une peu ça, Grace Kelly c'étais un peu le sentiment de ma famille par exemple, c'étais vraiment, c'étais ma famille, c'étais tout mes amis, c'étais tout mon équipe dans la vidéo et avec Celebrate moi j'avais beaucoup aimé cette idée que premièrement, c'est la première fois que je suis pas dans un studio, je suis .. euh, j'ai fait un clip pour Big Girls, une chanson qui était dans la rue mais j'ai détesté ce clip, il était atroce! Chéli: Oh oui? Oh non! Mika: Je sais pas, j'ai pas aimé! Chéli: Ah c'est drôle, la réaction a fait un effet contraire... Mika: Ah non la réaction était super, c'est juste de moi, moi-même, j'étais pas très content avec le clip, mais avec Celebrate, cette idée que j'ai bien aimé ce symbole là, avec le piano là, avec les papiers et c'était à New York, et il y avait un esthétique assez différent, c'est... Ouais je me suis amusé... En même temps, j'étais un train de faire des petits films pour les autres chansons qui ne seront pas des singles, c'est des collaborations avec des différents metteurs en scène, réalisateur, autour du monde et on en a fait un avec un jeune réalisateur, il s'appelle Iouri Phillippe Paillé qui habite à Montréal, c'étais tourné à Montréal pour un chanson qui s'appelle Make You Happy, et après on a fait pour Origin of Love, on a fait une chanson, un petit film avec un réalisateur qui vient du Chili, et on peut vraiment exploré des trucs... Chéli: Sérieux? Mika: Pourquoi pas ? Comme ça c'est pas complètement seulement des clips mais ça peut être des petits films qui existe, c'est important de s'amuser, et aussi pour moi, le truc c'est que le plus important, c'est que dans toutes mes videoclip c'est jamais trop un esthétique Las Vegas. C'est jamais trop shiny, trop de production, trop Hollywood. Il y a toujours un élément qui est un peu fait à la main, un peu, je sais pas, pour moi, c'est très important sinon ça devient comme une pub. Une pub de voiture, ça doit pas être ça. Ça doit toujours être réaliste dans un sens. Chéli: c'est ce qui nous permets de te comprendre encore plus, au delà des musiques et des paroles, on te voit en image et c'est ça qui est important pour toi. Mika: Exactement. Yeah I had fun ... At the same time, I was doing short films for other songs that are not singles, it's collaborations with various directors, director, around the world and we made one with a young director, that is called Iouri Phillippe Paillé who lives in Montreal, it was filmed in Montreal for a song called Make You Happy, and then we did for Origin of Love, it was a song, a little film with a director from Chile, and you can really explore stuff ...
