Dopo la conclusione di X Factor 2020, Mika (FOTO) ritorna per annunciare sui social uno speciale concerto di Natale in programma mercoledì 23 dicembre dalle ore 16. Il cantautore ha organizzato un evento live per i bambini malati dell’Istituto Curie a Parigi a sostegno dell'associazione «Imagine For Margo – Children Without Cancer». Lo scopo è quello accelerare i progressi della ricerca sui tumori infantili. Il concerto sarà trasmesso in contemporanea sulla pagina ufficiale di Mika e su quella dell’associazione benefica. Le donazioni libere per sostenere la ricerca si potranno effettuare per tutta la durata dell’evento direttamente sulle due pagine.

Dopo l’iniziativa “I love Beirut”, Mika torna di nuovo ad esibirsi per beneficenza. Il concerto di Natale in programma mercoledì 23 dicembre sarà trasmesso in diretta dal reparto pediatrico dell’Istituto Curie a Parigi. Un’iniziativa nata principalmente per regalare un po’ di calore e gioia natalizia ai tanti bambini ospedalizzati che hanno dovuto fare i conti anche con il Covid-19(LO SPECIALE - GLI AGGIORNAMENTI - LA MAPPA) e l’impossibilità di stare accanto ai loro cari a causa dei protocolli previsti.

Le canzoni del concerto di Natale di Mika

Così come si evince dal messaggio sui social, Mika sarà protagonista di un intimo concerto di Natale con il gruppo “Gospel pour 100 vox”, gruppo Gospel composto da più di 100 cantanti e musicisti e creato nel 1998 per un concerto. Il gruppo è composto da artisti di oltre 25 nazionalità e fedi diverse. Grazie alla partecipazione ad uno show televisivo britannico, il gruppo ha conquistato la popolarità internazionale. Mika eseguirà alcuni brani natalizi che saranno accompagnati dal pianoforte e dal coro gospel. Mika si è già esibito con il Gospel pour 100 vox allo scorso Festival di Sanremo e in uno storico concerto alla Accor Arena di Paris Bercy.

Mika padrino di Imagine For Margo

Non è la prima volta che Mika si attiva per dare un aiuto concreto ai bambini dell’Istituto Curie a Parigi. Il cantautore è infatti padrino di Imagine For Margo dal 2014 grazie al fotografo Peter Lindbergh che gli ha permesso di conoscere questa realtà. Da quel momento sono state tante le iniziative organizzate da Mika, ritratto più volte in compagnia dei bambini aiutati dall’associazione. Ogni anno la voce di “Grace Kelly” contribuisce insieme ai media francesi a lanciare nuove campagne di sensibilizzazione per “Imagine For Margo – Children Without Cancer”.

La nascita di Imagine For Margo

Imagine for Margo nasce nel 2011, in seguito alla scomparsa di Margo, 14 anni, affetta da un tumore al cervello. L'associazione lavora per accelerare la ricerca sui tumori pediatrici: svolge azioni di sensibilizzazione, mobilitazione e raccolta fondi per aiutare la ricerca europea a sviluppare cure specifiche, innovative e più efficaci per i bambini colpiti dal cancro. “Vai, combatti, vinci” è il messaggio di vita ritrovato nei quaderni di Margo dopo la sua morte, in inglese, e che l'associazione vuole continuare a trasmettere.

3 things to know about Mika's Christmas concert

 

After the "I love Beirut" initiative, Mika returns to perform for charity again. The Christmas concert scheduled for Wednesday 23 December will be broadcast live from the pediatric ward of the Curie Institute in Paris. An initiative created mainly to give some Christmas warmth and joy to the many hospitalized children who have also had to deal with Covid-19 (THE SPECIAL - THE UPDATES - THE MAP) and the impossibility of being next to their expensive due to the protocols provided.

As can be seen from the message on social media, Mika will be the protagonist of an intimate Christmas concert with the group “Gospel pour 100 vox”, a Gospel group made up of more than 100 singers and musicians and created in 1998 for a concert. Mika will perform some Christmas songs that will be accompanied by the piano and the gospel choir. Mika godfather of Imagine For Margo

 

It is not the first time that Mika has taken steps to give concrete help to the children of the Institute Curie in Paris. The singer-songwriter is in fact godfather of Imagine For Margo since 2014 thanks to the photographer Peter Lindbergh who allowed him to know this reality. Since that moment, many initiatives have been organized by Mika, portrayed several times in the company of the children helped by the association. Every year the voice of "Grace Kelly" contributes together with the French media to launch new awareness campaigns for "Imagine For Margo - Children Without Cancer".

 

The birth of Imagine For Margo

 

Imagine for Margo was born in 2011, following the disappearance of Margo, 14, suffering from a brain tumor. The association works to accelerate research on pediatric cancer: it carries out awareness raising, mobilization and fundraising actions to help European research develop specific, innovative and more effective treatments for children affected by cancer. “Go, fight, win” is the message of life found in Margo's notebooks after her death, in English, and that the association wants to continue to transmit.
