sunshine931
Moins convainquant lorsqu'il s'oriente vers la variété, Mika rappelle alors Elton John et Georges Michael (My Interpretation, Stuck in the Middle, Happy Ending).

sunshine931
Sorry I had almost forgot about those articles I had to translate !!! Sorry to keep you all waiting... Well there it goes... enjoy ! http://www.musicactu.com Mika prefers contemporary love. Before coming back to France for another gig this summer, the artist will release a new track from his first album. The singles “Relax Take It Easy†and “Grace Kelly†are presently hitting it big in France, making their way at the top of the most dowloasded tracks. This plebiscite of the audience will allow Mika to unveil a new song, « Love Today », before the end of April. This will be the third single from his frist album ; a very rythmic song with a sound that reminds us a little bit the style of the Scissor Sisters. “Love Today†will of course be accompanied by a video, based on the colorful world of the lebanese-american artist. Mika is now present on all fronts since he is continuing his european tour so he can introduce the audience to his album « Life In Cartoon Motion ». After having sang in front of a sold-out audience Wednesday april the 4th at the Trabendo, in Paris, he is considering coming back in the capital Saturday june the 30th for a concert programmed to take place at the Olympia. A contest that allows those who surf the internet to win tickets for this evening is accessible through his french official website until may the 20th. To learn more : http://www.mikalife.fr http://www.krinein.com Mika, the beginning of 2007’s phenomenon, golden album two months after the release of his first opus Life In Cartoon Motion, manages to seduce a large audience, though with an uneven music. Between pop, funk, disco and rock, the young 21 years old (what a stupid mistake ! do your research ! we all know he is 23...) is the thing. His voice, first of all, is undeniably ahead of all of all the others. The artist is able to sing, it appears, on 5 octaves (!) (we all know it’s actually 4...) Not everybody can say the same... Then the music exudes a great positivity and a deeply festive spirit. The price of diveristy Mika has marked the souls with the hit Relax (Take It Easy), a disco-funk track that ressembles Frankie Goes To Hollywood as well as I just Died In Your Arms Tonight by Cutting Crew, of which he sample the chords and the melody of the chorus (it’s true, read the cd booklet !). The second single, Grace Kelly, puts a very clear emphasis on the ressemblance with Freddie Mercury (the chorus at the end of the track are an obvious tribute). As if this wasn’t troubling enough, the good-lloking guy looks a little bit like the late Queen singer, Jeff Bucley and Prince (euh… I don’t think so !!!). The last one of those three we find as an enormous influence on the third single Love Today. A disco-funk song that should have a lot of success on the dance floors. In the same order of ideas, Big Girl imposes with its loud-sounding bass. Less convincing when he goes towards variety, Mika then reminds of Elton John and George Michael (My Interpretation, Stuck In The Middle, Happy Ending). Then, while we were not asking for that much, the guy finds a way to surprise us on the beautiful symphonic ballad Any Other World, which has not much to envy from Rufus Wainwright, and on the sizzling Ring Ring. Even if he didn’t win the originality trophy, Mika has won the diversity one. This with an undeniable talent and sometimes even magic (the hidden track Over My Shoulder). Considering the fact that he speaks french perfectly, the young artist has everything to drive the french-speaking girls wild.
