  1. I know I am soooo excited for the movie! Billy Brown better still be there...we know he's not with Mrs. Brown anyway!
  2. We are taking over!! Love the X-Files too. My boyfriend and I bought the entire series aout 2 months ago and are on season...5 I think?? It's soooooo good! (esp. with Billy Brown on staff:mf_rosetinted:)
  3. LOL I'm sure our boyfriends greatly appreciate the random MIKAisms we find in everyday life...but hey it's HIS fault, I would never have known about MIKA if it wasn't for him!
  4. LOL YES!!! Maybe he never really went to Mexico. They got abducted by aliens
  5. So last night my boyfriend and I were watching the X-Files and I was beginning to doze off as the credits ran but then something caught my eye: Associate Producer: Billy Brown I made him rewind it to make sure, then I looked at him and started singing "Browwwwwn oh Billllllly Brown!!!" Pretty sure he thinks I'm insane now
  6. LOL I'm just now starting to gather more vacation time at work. I took 2 days because MIKA was playing in Seattle and I live in Portland so I had to take a Greyhound there the night before. And there wasn't much of a chance that I'd make it back to be at work the next morning (or want to try) so I took the next day off as well. Totally worth it though, and I found the queuing experience to be quite fun. There were three girls who got there shortly after we did and they were handing out lollipops...Plus we met this awesome chick who gave us a ride home and took our pictures with MIKA and e-mailed them to us later...still though I can see how some people would feel less stressed about knowing where their seat was and that no one would be able to take it.
  7. Mine is from the Ok Go song called "Hello My Treacherous Friends." There is a line in there that goes "with regard to my newborn arachnid kids, there's something we must discuss." I've had it forever...I just like the song and thought the term was clever. Plus the song is about Portland and that's where I live!
  8. I wish I would have rehearsed something to say when I met him because I got up there and pretty much just smiled. He was so nice though and asked me how I was doing. One thing I noticed is that he looks you in the eyes the whole time (which isn't an easy feat with his shorter fans! i.e. me!)
  9. It was pretty small...I did like the intimacy of it all though. My friend and I got soooooo lost on our way, we ended up at the regular Showbox and started panicking
  10. Hmm...i'm not all that familiar with Seattle and the only other venue I've been to there was the Key Arena which is ginormous. But I might say the regualr Showbox might have been nice. The area was a tad bit skeezy and some guy almost ran my friend and me over and called us dumbasses when we were walking on the SIDEWALK!!
  11. It might if it was bad enough. My friend got punched in the face once becuase she was defending my other friend from some girls who were calling him names. They got thrown out
  12. I know...I seriously don't understand why people fight to get at prime spots. They'll just get thrown out anyway!
  13. I was getting worried that people would fight in Seattle, but it really didn't happen (to me anyway, I've heard stories from other people). Nothing could be as bad as when I saw Millencolin a few years back...I had HUGE bruises in the shape of the grating all up and down my hipbones for weeks.
  14. Maybe it's just me but I hate being stuck in the back...I know a lot of people who hate being up front though. Mixed venues are the best for anyone. Sitting room AND standing room.
  15. I hate seated venues! If you get stuck with a crappy row you're stuck with it the whole time and there's nothing you can do about it! In Seattle I got there at noon and waited outside. It was totally worth it, I was the first person inside. All the security guys were laughing at me because I was poised at the door and RAN BY BUTT OFF no sooner than 1 second after they moved out of my way. Almost fell on my face once I reached my coveted spot... I did see Hanson at the Orpheum a few years back and as I recall every one just migrated towards the front anyway.
  16. YAY!! Oh I could only imagine what an MFC van would look like. I think we might get cited for blinding the other drivers!
  17. I am with you on that one! Ugh every time I hear that stupid "Beautiful" song I want to puke! It's so cheesy, big deal you saw a hot chick on the subway and she didn't want to do you. Get over it.
  18. Portland Oregon could use a nice big dose of MIKA! That's right, go to Seattle, then go to Portland...never mind that Grey Toyota that seems like it's following you on the freeway. It's all in your imagination.
  19. *Waits for Eleanorelle to find this thread* Hehehe, oh Seattle. Good times.
  20. YAY!! I would LOVE to do Over My Shoulder When would you want it by?
  21. Are we still doing this or is it over?? Can you do it acapella?
  22. I am so so so so excited to be almost done with school. seven short weeks and I'll be the proud holder of a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology! ..provided I pass this one last class I'm taking
