Yes I remeber Marc Bolan! I'm a bit too young to have been a fan (I remember when he died, I was 8 I think, and I remember the TV show he had) but I've always thought that if I'd been a teenager in his heyday I bet I would have had the biggest crush on him! Maybe it's the curly haired thing, or the androgynous thing, but he is a bit Mika-ish...

I agree with you about Mika being something unique for these past 20 years, and also with what you said about him (and others) rekindling your interest in pop music. And it's true, the late 90s/early 00s were a poor time for pop! I don't think I listened to anything contemporary at the time!
