No, unfortunately.
When they were here in Hungary, I was a bit young to go, and also, I didn't live in Budapest that time...
But I did go to see Brian's concert in 1993 and Q+PR in 2004... Not the same, I know...:sad:
I imagine NME journalists can't see, can't hear and don't talk about you when you are not considered to be cool enough....
Idots. I'd love to lock them for a week with the people and the music they like ... and see what happens... :sneaky2: :biggrin2:
You are right and I believe we all agree with you but how long do you need to be in the music business / tour management to know that you don't book an artist on every single day, especially one day in one continent and next day in another.... Not even if the performance itself is playback.
All artists need to have enough time to rest in between gigs, especially if they are like an atomic bomb like MIKA.
It is not really about him but about THEM.
:boxed:
Actually, I was late in warning you.
Here is the news from BBC online:
1.30pm - The drumming starts
Things kick off with a massed diaplay of drumming led by Queen's Roger Taylor. I banish all thoughts of drummer jokes, as do the crowd who are clearly loving every minute. It's a good start.
So... obviously it all started with We Will Rock You. :punk:
My only excuse for not paying enough attention to this concert is that I just don't get what the purpose is ....
I mean.. OK, icebergs melting due to global warming, seroius conserquences... blah blah.
BUT ANYONE WITH A CONCRETE AGENDA OF ACTIONS THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR???? I don't think so.
Roger Taylor is to help open the Live Earth concert at Wembley Stadium this weekend.
Roger will be joined by Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Nick Mason (Pink Floyd) as part of a spectacular drumming extravaganza that will kick off the show. :punk:
just in case anyone was interested....
Well, I'm not bitter about either, I just wanted to make a point.
But in case anyone is interested, Sziget is a 7 day festival and half of the people buying weekly tickets are foreigners (Dutch, German and French mainly).... The most expected bands for this year are Tool (USA) and The Killers...
It's not only the piano part, it's the way he chorus starts as well...
I don't mind it though.. It's my favourite song from Mika.
However, I do mind the obvious similarity between Instant Martyr and Killer Queen on his demo tape. I hope he re-writes/ re-arranges it a bit before releasing it on the Big Girl single...
It HAS happened to me as well, once: I didn't book my holiday to England that was supposed to start from next weekend, for fear Mika cancels the Somerset House gig - to which I have been offered tickets....
Sad but true ...
DO YOU THINK I HAVE OCD, too???

YOU DEFINITELY HAVE OCD, despite the fact that you are aware of your compulsions.
If you thought your compulsions were 'normal' you would have OCPD...
Sorry to break the sad news...
