Please take the time to listen to Pull Tiger Tail a few times on YouTube. Mika likes them, I've learnt to like them too, and you'll have a great time waiting for Mika to come on.

I'm glad Freddie's sending you a badge. I copied and printed mine on card and laminated it when no-one was looking at work, then I chickened out of showing it. I'm not sure, with this site being unofficial, how much weight our membership carries. Can you get a flashing heart?

At the risk of repeating myself, can I recommend that if you're going to Mika's UK tour, YouTube the support band, Pull Tiger Tail and swot up on their songs - after all, Mika likes them - and you'll enjoy the wait for Mika so much more.

Hi The link on the first page works for me (only if I hold control when I click) and they've separated Mika's part from the rest. He's so funny and bright.

Well, does Mika EVER deny his debt to the other artists? Does he? I've only heard him speak with respect for those who have gone before him. And the one thing 'Grace Kelly' is not, is ordinary. Does he have to sound like Gnarls Barkley to have natural wonder? Seems to me, this guy can't make his mind up. You can't have it both ways - he DOES sound like other singers (bad) and he DOESN'T sound like one particular singer (bad). Poor journalism.

Well, I heard him at the sound check and in the concert in Leeds, doing the Jackson 5 and I thought - as with all the covers I've heard him do -that it was joyful, joyous and hugely energetic so pooh to anyone who thinks otherwise!

Thanks lesley3110 I've been watching your videos. It sounds like the same set list he played in Leeds. Sorry you weren't keen on Pull Tiger Tail - I knew I wouldn't like them unless I got to know their stuff so I learnt 4 of their songs. I recommend anyone else going to this tour does the same - Animator is excellent, and it's certainly not my type of music. In Holy Johnny, is he wearing a flashing heart? And did he throw it into the audience? It looks like the ones we were wearing.
