  1. I didn't know zap! zap! = woot woot. Where/when did Mika say that? Could you give me the link, please? "Toy, toy, toy" instead of "good luck."
  2. Thank you for posting! The quotes don't sound quite like Mika to me. I think they've paraphrased it or cut and pasted different quotes and mashed them together.
  3. Thank you so much for uploading these pics! Yes, another energetic performance.
  4. According to Jack Violet: Knitting is very simple--it simply means "perverted, or relating to perverted things." The Knitting Thread used to be named the Pervert thread, so knitting = perverted, knitty = pervy, etc.
  5. Cool. I'm glad I gave you the idea... and that you gave me credit. :-) I write poems, too! How does the idea of co-writing it with me? If so, please PM, me. I *would* like credit for that, tho. ;-)
  6. Fantastic pix! My favorite is the last one. Ha, knitting and chicken. Excuse me.
  7. Yes, they do. Mostly I find them uplifting, even though they are not happy (the lyrics), they sound happy which helps me. Makes sense because Mika said he writes songs as a remedy for himself, and that's what they are to me! (The songs are remedies.)
  8. I wish I could, too. I think it's not something that can be expressed in words alone. Maybe a song would be better, but even so, you'd have to be a really talented singer/songwriter. I'd have to really think about what to tell him when I meet him, but it'd be so quick, 10 sec -5 min that it would be too short to tell him all I'd want to, to get the point across.
  9. So true. I don't think he'll ever realize it -- how much his music makes a difference to us.
  10. Sweet! When I played the piano, it took me some time to learn a song. Actually, I think 3 weeks is a bit quick to learn a song. Of course I'm proud of you! And that your first song was one of Mika's!
  11. I didn't see him name on the channel information. I wish I had recorded the commercial/advert that said he was the guest, tho. I missed it. Oh, well, I'll just have to be content and do all that other stuff in the future.
  12. Well, Mika has a thing for toys. I think he's spent over $300 on a single toy. He collects them and he's said that's he's running out of space for them.
  13. Hello Bessie and welcome to the MFC! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. I'm glad to hear Mika is now one of your favorites. So, you play the piano. That's great! It's nice to meet you, too! Have a great day and weekend,
  14. Thank you for posting! I love it! I have never seen it before. Being a fan of purple, I am even more fond of it than I would be otherwise.
  15. I didn't notice them. I going to try to have another look at that vid and look for them. I think I know exactly what you mean by "fangirlish glimmer to their faces."
  16. Yes and yes. Perhaps the alcohol had something to do with it? Along with Mika's outstanding talent and charisma, of course? The tight pants? Either way, I'm still happy for him getting all that accolade.
  17. Thank you SOOO much for posting this, DaMango! Woe! The only time I choose not to go to Barnes and Nobles does it bite me in the butt. But, thanks to you I can print them out!
  18. I think it was the nice dress shirt. My mom always says that he looks younger, like 18/19. In one pic, he looked 16 to me. Then in another interview, they did a close up and I thought he looked 27.
  19. LOL. I've grown used to his... wilder performances. If he really wants to break into the US audiences, I think it's best to hold off the animal costumes. But, I think a bit more energetic and wild performances would be more welcome.
  20. So then, we agree that it was a tame performance by Mika? I like him better energetic, too. Since he wasn't, I felt a bit self-conscious.
  21. I don't know... He didn't seem like himself, but I'm still very pleased he was on the US tv...
