C'est un plat très "marmite" soit tu aimes, soit tu détestes. C'est le plat de fast-food le plus caractéristique du Québec. Moi j'aime bien mais pas n'importe laquelle. On en fait aussi avec de la sauce bolognaise ou avec du poulet par exemple.

"On m'a proposé de faire l'exercice à Londres, mais j'ai préféré bosser chez vous. Comme un peu tout le monde, j'aime votre ville pour ses références autant européennes qu'américaines", m'explique dans un français impeccable celui qui a grandi à Paris jusqu'à l'âge de 10 ans. Grâce aux bombes radiophoniques Grace Kelly, Big Girl (You Are Beautiful) et, surtout, Relax (Take it Easy), Mika a écoulé plus de 7 millions d'exemplaires de son premier album Life in Cartoon Motion. Avec ses refrains archicontagieux, sa voix haut perchée et son univers dégoulinant de bonne humeur, le nouveau prince de la pop est revenu à la charge il y a quelques semaines avec The Boy Who Knew Too Much, un album tout aussi accessible mené par le succès We Are Golden et plusieurs futurs hits (Rain, Blame It on the Girl, Blue Eyes). "Si mon premier album abordait l'enfance, celui-ci se développe autour de l'adolescence. Au départ, je cherchais surtout à ne pas me mettre trop de pression en écrivant ce deuxième disque. Pour ce faire, j'ai décidé de me replonger dans mon adolescence, d'essayer de trouver cette même énergie qui m'habitait lorsque j'ai commencé à composer seul dans ma chambre. À l'époque, j'étais ce jeune étudiant timide dont tout le monde rit à l'école. Le soir, je m'enfermais dans ma chambre et je devenais complètement coloré. Je jouais du piano, je chantais et je dansais tout seul, comme dans le vidéoclip de We Are Golden. Je crois que pour être heureux à l'âge adulte, il faut conserver une part d'adolescence en soi." Venant de Mika, un être fougueux et exubérant à outrance, cette dernière phrase ne surprend guère. Serait-il atteint du syndrome de Peter Pan, tout comme ce défunt roi de la pop auquel Mika pourrait succéder? "Je ne suis pas complètement obsédé par la jeunesse, mais j'adore cette naïveté qui s'y rattache. Je m'en sers beaucoup pour donner à mes chansons la puissance des comptines pour enfants. Les mélodies des comptines sont ultra-apaisantes, elles ont quelque chose de très joyeux, mais lorsque tu te concentres sur leurs textes, tu y découvres des trucs extrêmement violents.
