Welcome to the group "Martha":wink2: , I just love the handle. I am also from Northern CA (Sacramento) though I now live in OR. Have a wonderful time in Europe and following Mika around. What a great way to make an itinerary haha.

You know, I haven't made very many posts since I joined because I don't get on as much as I would like but the times that I have been on people have been very nice and I would miss it if I quit coming here. Just give it some time and I am sure you will grow to love it and make a lot of good friends.

There are a few things that annoy me, though usually I try and let them just roll off my back, but you can only take so much. I will list the top two for right now: 1.) The fact that I spent $2,099 (not sure what that is in pounds) on a gaming tower and now my computer freezes after only 10 months and I have to go 1 1/2 hours away just to get it fixed. 2.) When you meet someone online and think that you have made a new friend and all of a sudden they stop IMing you and they don't have the guts to tell you but just stop answering your messages. That one really hurts. I know they are both kind of superficial but there they are.

I think the polls are over but still want to put in my 2 cents worth. I really agree with Suzy about the "Post Your Pic" thread. Pictures should be for those who actually want to be members. Not to be the voice of "all mothers out there" but you just never know whose online (I am sorry I seem to be channeling my mother). My experience here has been that all of the members are such nice people and I think that only nice people join MFC. I do want to say a word about lurking. Sometimes I feel like one because there is so much information to read or that I have missed in past posts that it takes forever to read. When you pick a forum to go into sometimes there are 50 pages and umpteen posts. I feel like I have to read each one because if I just go to the last page no one could be on the original topic and I feel lost. Like I said above I am not complaining cause no one can be on all of the time. But there may be others like me who are not actual lurkers just very slow lol. Anyway, even though I haven't posted very much on the site I just want everyone I have come into contact how welcome you make a person feel and my pseudo-lurking has helped me get to know people that much more.

Thanks guys for the kind words. The doctor said it was slowly getting better, so that is a good thing. The bad thing is that my daughter has now got me addicted to WoW, World of Warcraft, a role playing game online. I play a lot since I am not supposed to walk. I fact I do that instead of reading like I would have done before. I am a bad, bad person.

Thanks Fmbm, Oregon is wonderful. I have been here over 9 years now. I live right on the ocean and also work where I can see the ocean out my front door. My favorite part is the weather. I lived in Missouri before Oregon and it was way too extreme in the winter and summer. Oregon is much more milder. I also like the people here, they are very friendly. Don't get me wrong I also miss California when I don't live there and the last 12 years have been the longest I have ever been away. I really need to visit my brother. He lives in Roseville, which is by Sacramento.

No weight loss for me. Right now I am off my feet. I hurt my bad foot again and my doctor has me sitting at home. I can't walk on it at all. I have to use a wheelchair to do anything and even a walker to get into the wheelchair. I am so bored, but hopefully I only have 2 more weeks to go. I see the doctor Wednesday. Unfortunately, this has halted any exercise I get from work. Oh well, not much longer.

I love American Idol. My favorites are Carly and David Cook. If you watch David he has tremendous stage presence. It's like he makes love to the camera and the audience. Carly just has a beautiful voice. I also want to agree with the season 2 watchers and Ruben should not have even been in the top 2. It should have been Kimberly Locke and Clay. Clay should have won. I am a huge fan of his. Oh and Josh Groban, omg he is just beautiful in every way.

I am glad anyone can post here not just Californians. I am a former CA, but haven't been there in about 12 years. It is always in my heart. I was born there, Sutter Memorial in Sacramento, and my daughter was born there, Sutter Memorial in Sacramento. I know it was real strange that happened cause I had lived in other states in between the two events, haha. I have lived all over CA from LA to Sacramento and love it all. Right now I live in Oregon and they do not like CA at all. I don't know why. Anyway, I will definitely keep this forum in mind when I log on. There are so many forums that it is hard to keep up with them all, but it is fun to try.

Thanks Scut Monkey. I hope your right but it seems to get harder and harder all the time. I really think this thread is a wonderful idea and it will be a big help if only to get the support you need to lose weight. It is a very hard thing to do, especially if you are like me and love chocolate and of course being American I have to love apple pie, oh goodness just shoot me now:gun2:

Hi Pam, I hope you don't think I was being critical, I really wasn't. I am glad you listen to allthetypesofmusic:naughty: cause it would be pretty boring to only listen to one kind or one person. What kind of tattoo are you looking for? When I get up the nerve I have a Cherokee 7 pointed star I want to get. I am also looking for a simple Celtic design cause I am half Irish but my great Grandmother was Cherokee. I want to get both heritages represented. Anyway, back to Mika, I think he would look fine in a tattoo but if it isn't something he wants to do more power to him. He looks fine just the way he is.

Well I hope to be added soon and I agree with Scut Monkey, the song is less than flattering as much as I like it. I was well on my way to being a lollipop girl having lost 200 lbs. (not sure what that is in stones, but it is a bunch) and then the shed deck at work collapsed because it was wood rotted and I got hurt pretty bad. I hurt my back, right knee, left ankle, and broke the bones in my left foot. I couldn't hardly walk for 1 1/2 years and couldn't drive but I am able to drive now. Needless to say I can't exercise any more and have put half the weight back on. But I think that with the positive feedback and ideas from all of you it will make it much easier. I am a professed sweet junkie but luckily it will be spring soon and to me fruit is just as good as candy. Well it is 2 am here and I need to go to bed.

I am not sure I agree with you there Pam, no disrespect meant, cause my 23-year-old daughter has two tattoos and piercings and she listens to all types of music, including Mika. Maybe he just hasn't found the right tattoo yet. This is a fun thread cause of all the speculation and the bare chest pictures aren't anything to sneeze at either. Who doesn't love a handsome guy with his shirt off, I know I do. Anyway, maybe Mika puts the tattoos on himself just to see what people will say. He is a fun and crazy guy and may think all of the talk is a hoot.

Oh, I hope it isn't too late to join. I would love to do something for the band. And please could someone tell me the two new projects that are being done now. There are so many threads and too little time and I guess I have missed them or am looking in the wrong spot. I have just reread the first page and it said that no one can be involved after September 1st and since it is the 3rd I guess I am out of luck. That is too bad it would have been fun. Maybe I can find the other projects and get involved with them.

Darn it all anyway. I learned about Mika way too late for any of the fun stuff so far. I missed the birthday gift, the christmas song, tho' I am an alternate I hope, and now the quilt. I think this is a fabulous idea and I am trying to read as many threads as I can as quickly as I can but I seem to be a little late on things. Hopefully I will find something to participate in soon to show my support to the lovely boy. By lovely I mean not only in looks but it seems in all respects I have heard so far. This is too funny. My daughter, who is 22, is the one who introduced me to Mika and now I am a bigger fan and she is the one who sometimes says "do we have to listen to this again?" even tho' she does like him also.

Well we are up to 141 straight women, of which, I seem to be the 1 LOL. I just love men but I think Amanda Bynes is just the cutest thing ever. Just saw her in hairspray which was great. I do love gay men and I have had a few gay friends. One of my best friends is a lesbian and I love her to death.
