  1. One more day of school! Is anyone else planning on watch the Michael Jackson Memorial? I'm so happy it's on my first night of holidays. 3am..
  2. Thanks! I'm pretty excited, it should be fun. We started playing around with the song in class yesterday, and I liked how it was sounding. Haha, okay. I will try to upload it once we get the CD after recording.
  3. Hello everyone! How are you all? I've been pretty good, but I'm so incredibly glad that the holidays start after just two more days of school. Tomorrow I have an English in-class essay that I still have to prepare for and then I have a physics assignment about electricity and motion due on Wednesday. I stayed up and watch the Federer/Roddick tennis match last night. Just picture it.. Me sitting on the edge of the couch at 3:30am, biting my fingernails and trying not to make any noise. The final set was so long and stressful, but in the end Roger won! I was so happy! I love Roger Federer. Oh! I also got into a music thing called Kool Skools. I wrote a song involving vocals, piano, acoustic guitar, violin, bass and drums and it got chosen to be recorded at a professional music studio next term!
  4. Oh yes, I heard about that. Apparently he is mostly better and no longer contagious. He's going to be at the Half-Blood Prince premiere. And he's on Rove tonight (I'm pretty sure they recorded that a while ago though)!
  5. Nope, I'm on holidays for almost two and a half weeks. So I go back on the 27th of July.
  6. I wish.. I still have two major assessments to do this term (english and physics). Next week I have school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then holidays!! Haha, today in English it was so funny and cute. We were all sitting there listening to the teacher (an old wise man with an awesome beard), and we were just about to get into groups to discuss something. Then just as he finished explaining he said "Be careful not to talk too loud, you might wake Lucy." And then everyone turned around and she was fast asleep. Aww. It was hilarious though, and the teacher has a great sense of humour, so he just thought it was funny as well.
  7. Sorry I haven't been around lately. School has been really busy. Only three more days until the holidays! Any news about Tegan during the last few days?
  8. Those flowers are beautiful! Mika is being very kind.. And so he should after all the work Tegan put into the petition! But seriously, I think I'm fangurling a little bit at the moment as well.
  9. Firstly.. HELLO JU-JU LEA!!! I have to give a 5-minute presentation in my Studies of Religion II (I go to a Catholic school) class tomorrow. It's about the commandments and beatitudes of Christianity and I will be speaking about John Lennon, as an example.
  10. I was so incredibly happy to read Mika's shout out to Tegan. It was such a kind thing to do, and I hope it helps her to get through this tough time with a smile on her face. She deserves to be happy. Thanks Mika, and get well soon Tegan! Why, oh why, did I leave this religion speech until the night before??
  11. I hope everything isn't too serious. Get well soon Tegan.. I'm thinking of you.
  12. Hmm.. I'm excited that Mika has finally realised that there is a Southern Hemisphere, but I won't be stalking him around Melbourne/Sydney. I have school! I think it will just be showcase/promotional stuff as well. Having said that, if anybody happens to see/meet him they had better take pictures!
  13. I woke up late this morning so I missed the bus. Then, while I was getting ready for school I was listening to the radio. When the newsreader said "we can now confirm that Michael Jackson has died" I was looking in the mirror, and my mouth actually fell open. It is very, very sad. I have always hoped that Michael Jackson's comeback would be absolutely amazing, and everybody would realise what a musician he was, instead of focussing upon some the of the mistakes he may have made. But now, his comeback is not to be. It's just devastating. But I still hope that he will be remembered for his music, rather than the controversy that has always surrounded him. RIP Michael.
  14. The choices were Geraldine Doogue, Father Chris Riely, Irene McCormack, Nelson Mandela, Oprah Winfrey, Jonathan Welsh (Choir of Hard Knocks), Steve Waugh and Jon Bon Jovi. I don't know who a few few of those are.. I was going to do Nelson Mandela, but realised quite a few people would probably be talking about him so I decided to do one of my own. :groovy:WELCOME!!!
  15. Haha, I'm sure you could. He wasn't a choice, but neither was John Lennon (I asked the teacher if I could do him). So I'm pretty sure she'd have let somebody talk about Bono if they wanted to.
  16. Hello everyone! Haha, Kelzy.. on our religion assignment/speech thing we're doing about christianity there is a question that requires us to choose a famous person who exemplifies the faith. And one of the choices was Jon Bon Jovi! But I'm doing John Lennon.
  17. Haha, I actually enjoy reading mine as well. But I still worry about it beforehand.
  18. Thanks for all of your lovely comments about the Deb photos! I think I get my report for the first half of year 11 soon.
  19. Here are some Deb photos.. I'm the one closest to the camera on the left (the taller one) My partner and I dancing. A few friends and I (I'm on the left).
  20. Hello all! Sorry I have been scarce lately. I was very busy over the weekend with preparations for the Deb. It was beautiful. I shall post a few photos when I find some spare time. Today the CD for Sibelius 5 arrived and it doesn't work! My Dad is going to call them tomorrow.
  21. Has anybody read Brian's latest soapbox entry? He talks about Mika! And there's a photo with Katy Perry. Even though I don't really like her music, the photo is great! It's nice to see Bri having a good time.
  22. Umm, I don't think it's been on Australian TV yet, but it was only broadcast in Britain last year so there may still be a possibility of it being on here. I'll keep an eye out for you. I downloaded it.. Illegally.
  23. I felt really sad when it was over. I had to return to reality. A very dramatic and intriguing story with just the right amount of happiness and sadness and a dash of mystery and romance. Thankyou!
