Hi Oldlings! I was checking in to see what was going on. I purchased 4 tickets for the Chicago show this morning - but wait, I have a family of 5! What was I thinking! I am still a bit undecided between Chicago and Minneapolis. The weather around here is so unpredictable in Feb. How is everyone? Hello DCDeb. I used to live fairly close to Mt. Vernon. Fairly close in DC which means about 15 miles away.

I don't have that transpose button. I just thought some of the notes sounded off even in the ones without the note at the bottom. I'll keep working on it. I thought about transposing back but then again....no. Well, it was really nice to meet everyone here! I have to now feed the kids and get them ready for swimming.

Carri - Hello and happy birthday! I stumbled on the knitting thread and obviously NOT about real knitting. My kids will still wear things but I can't keep up with their request but it keeps me busy. I have to go soon. they have to go to swim practice.

Was it the book? I got that too but sometimes, it didn't sound right. My son got the tablature for the bass guitar part for Grace kelly and that was pretty cool. Sounds like fun.

Lucas used malamute recordings for Chewy's sounds.

No, she has NEVER. She claims it's that same trick I heard Mika talking about in an interview actually. A big glass of water and either ibuprofin or was it tylenol, I don't remember. Hold on a sec. Let me work on that picture.

Her puppy call name was Margie as in Large Marge which got me to Big Girl but that sounds a bit funny b/c it would be for the song, not because she is really all that big. Plus, we may show her and then her name would be printed in the show catalog so that has to kept in mind too.

She is an Alaskan Malamute and Mika has come up but I just can't get myself to call my dog Mika. Any Other World was also a consideration.

Life is nice, family oriented but certainly not worldly here. I have not been to any Mika gigs but am furiously working on a plan for either his Feb. 5 in Chicago, Feb. 6 in Minneapolis or in my dreams, both! I would have loved to see Mika in London but wouldn't you know, my brother moved back to Chicago from London this fall and we are no longer near an international airport. We lived in DC before moving here and London was an easy hop over. SL.. I have a friend who is lucky to have NEVER had a hangover no matter what but I don't know her secret. I am trying to think of a name for our new puppy. Diet Coke and a Pizza please was a consideration but, again, no one would get it.

Hi Sarahlou. I am back from shoveling snow now. Kids are home now too. Darn early release. Not Friday night here yet, just afternoon.

Yes, last winter, I am told was very mild and we got off easy. I am in northern Wisconsin so this snow is normal around here. Wet, stormy and bike does not sound like a good combination. Too cold!

I have 3 boys who all think Mika is the best. Probably because I tell them so but anyway... They are 11, 9 and 7. I am seriously considering taking them to the concerts here in Feb. I am just worried and planning how to excecute an 8 hour drive between cities with 3 kids and possible snow storms....

My name is Christina and I am freezing! I HAD a cup of warm tea but now it is cold. I am going to have to go out and shovel the driveway since it snowed a little last night but being here is much more fun!

Hi! I guess I would be considered an oldling. I am in my 30's (have to do some math to figure out my real age) and am a huge fan of Mika's. I feel so behind, trying to read through all these posts to get a feel for it all but I thought I would just jump in and say hello!

Thanks Blue Sky! I don't think I will be able to go alone now. The 2 shows are all ages and the kids will be broken hearted if they don't get to go. They are HUGE Mika fans and it will be so much fun to take them, I think.

Hello everyone! I guess it is time to do an introduction. I found Mika one day listening to the radio. When I heard him, I knew I had to find out who it was. I caught some verses of Grace Kelly in the car picking up my son from school and went home and googled the few lines I got from the song. We watched him on youtube and ordered his CD right away. It was a long weekend waiting for the CD to arrive but thank goodness for the internet! All my kids really love Mika also and listen to him all the time. I had read the show reports from his recent concerts and really wished I could see him but didn't really think that it would be a possibility. Now, we are so excited that we will have a chance to see him in Feb!!!! We live in a smallish town and I thought there would be no way he would comer here anytime soon. We are trying to figure out which show to go to now, Chicago or Minneapolis or both. The kids say both but I am worried about the drive and the weather here in Feb. Anyway, I really love it here and love to see that other people are as crazy about Mika as we are. I have only heard him on the radio here TWO times! No one here knows what we are talking about.
