thankyou! well the chimera thing goes something like this: everyone draws a part of a different animal, and then we stick it all together and form a weird thingmajing animal that has a chicken's head, horse hooves etc.

I agree with you on the amelia's font idea, its possible to download a similar font from dafont.com that can be opened in photoshop Do you want me to draw the front cover design? (mika holding crystal ball with two hands, in front of him) i can do it, and leave the contents of the crystal ball blank first, since it seems like we're going with the chimera idea.. but i think the chimera idea isn't very feasible though, it could get very confusing and messy at the same time. do you mean the front cover design? I have it on my photobucket, i can post it again if you need a reference to it

hey people, just to let you all know in advance, i will probably be inactive for two weeks starting august the 4th to 18th, because i'll be busy with summer literature classes in Cambridge - i will probably be able to access the internet, but i won't have scanners etc. and i'll try to get my letter sent in by the 4th! may i know who i should PM it to?

bump! this is the main idea for the cover design: as mentioned earlier, its taking on a circus theme, so i think this might give a brief idea of the direction we're heading. So we should start dividing up the layout sections to individual people, so comment back with your desired section, then we can continue discussing on the overall design?

I don't mind doing the main design - e.g: the person holding the crystal ball thing - and the chimera can be done by the others who volunteered?

about the bolded part: i thought that idea was not entirely voted for because of the problem of coordination? because i'll be difficult to coordinate the size and colour of each part of the animal such that it will look whole... and i've got my letter, thanks!

shall we just randomly assign letters to the remaining people if they don't reply by the end of the week? then we can move on quickly with this... and we need a dateline for the completion of the letters too

yeah! i've joined the asiapac petition XD the singapore version is basically the the album without the art on the sleeves, and there is no bonus tracks like ring ring or over my shoulder, and they have this awful singapore logo on the cover...well, it goes for a very cheap 11.90... actually there is quite a number of mika fans in singapore, just that they don't go online much...and at least they do play grace kelly/lollipop once in a while on the radio, so i'm not complaining (they never seem to play muse)

XD YAY!!!!!!!! i've been the only active singaporean around here - the others seem to be dead - there's someone from malaysia though, which is cool as well. i really hope he comes to singapore! oh btw, did you buy the singapore version of Life in Cartoon Motion? i think its silly, i'd rather buy the original version

I will take two Os then, since there are so many Os, and people don't seem to like the letter O that much.. after we have assigned letters, we have to think about the admin stuff e.g: opening up the font in photoshop and standardizing the font size and then placing each letter on a jpeg image such that you guys can either: 1. edit them in photoshop 2. print it out, design in by hand, then scan it back in - but this might affect the font size a little... I think one person should do the standardizing so that there wouldn't be weird font sizes due to different programmes used. and about the colours used, i think we should keep it really simple so that when put together, the fonts don't clash with the design, and its still readable. so lets just keep it at four colours? what do you think?

hmm, guys, i think we really shouldn't digress too much in here, because its difficult for people to catch up with the number of pages extending on and on, so back to the main topic, have we decided officially on the design yet? this is crucial, because what we choose eventually will affect the main theme of the layout pages as well, so we have to decide fast Seeing how the original 'poll' was buried under all the updates, here's the 'poll' again: 1.Globe, arms going around globe, explosion of confetti, words, things(e.g chicken, hearts, monsters...)e.g: OR 2.boy holding a crystal ball, INSIDE the crystal ball,a circus, and just madness.e.g: OR 3.drawing of a person with his/her arms stretched out with the globe design on the person's t-shirt OR 4.explosion of a pinata instead of a globe, with confetti bursting out of it OR 5.incorporating a drawing of an umbrella and raindrops into the bursting globe design, e.g: -~- ...from what i've been following on the thread, most of us are going with no.2 right? do you think we should finalise that decision? i know there was a dateline for this, which is i think next week, but i think we should decide now -~- and someone posted a whole bunch of fonts in the thread earlier, do you mind posting them all at one shot again so we can vote on which font to use? YAY I'm excited too

thats a good idea, because then it'll correspond with the general direction the cover teams taking on right now - a sort of circus-y theme combined with How Much Do We Love You

you know i was thinking 'oh no this is going to break out into a big argument' but you guys are really nice to each other - not like how in school people fight for the credit etc etc... ...just wanted to add my opinion ya know?

just saw it on television - gawd, UK's dress is simple and pretty! the rest of dresses were really nice too, well, except for my country, which turned out to be a complete disaster if you ask me... Mika's Love Today brought the show to higher levels! XD

i think next week would be fine i vote for the second design, by the way - i forgot to give my opinion on the vote XD
