MIKA has such a differnt sound to his voice, and sometimes its hard to tell what he says the first time we hear the song. We all are used to differetn accents depending on where we live, and this factor plus how Mika is always in falsetto often makes us hear other things. What were some of the lyrics you misunderstood when you first heard LICM or any of his songs? (It might be a little embarassing, but its all good! Here are some of my dumb mistakes!) Hey guys! Here is our idea, which we concoted today in lunch! I have started a story about lollipop girl, incorporating many characteristics from LICM. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Tell us what you think we should add! What should happen next! Please continue the story by adding your posts. In about 1 week we will take this thread and put together all your input, creating a giant story with as many of your elements as possible, which will be put in this thread. If need be we will add peices that we feel would fit well. HERES YOUR CHANCE TO BE THE AUTHO OF A WONDERFUL STORY ABOUT ALL THINGS MIKA! When finished, I hope to send this to MIKA as a birthday present!(If anyone woudl liek to PM me an adress to which I can send this, I would love to send it to Mika himself once this is finished. I have a couple recording companies, but I was wondering if there was anythign a little quicker) HAVE FUN! BE CREATIVE!!!!! - pianogirlsammy and carvelpennimanXD Once upon a time there was a cute little child named LOLLIPOP GIRL. Now L.G. ( as her very few friends called her) had just gotten over a terrible experience, the theiving of her prized possession; HER GIANT LOLLPOP. There was nothing that LG loved more than playing with the lollipop adn using HER INTERPRETATIONS to make it anythign she wanted... a magic wand, a masquarade mask or ANYTHING SHE LIKED! This crime made her very sad, adn she did all she could to FIGHT TEARS JUST TO CARRY ON. Having losing her lollipop to ChuChu, a monkey who had been bullying her for ages, she decided it was time for her to ERASE all the pain she felt, buckle down and realize that GETTING ANGRY DOESNT SOLVE ANYTHING. She realized that she needed to get over her childish behaviors adn be a BIG GIRL.. so she packed up her belongings and prepared for her JOURNEY AND TRAVELS to AN ISLAND OFF THE COAST OF MEXICO, in order to FIND SOME PEACE OF MIND. PUTTING HER LIFE ON THE BRINK, she stepped into a small plane which would fly her to what was hopefully going to be, HER HAPPY ENDING! Suddenly, the plane began to dive....down, down down lower and lower. With a big splash, Lollipop girl and the plane hit the water, STUCK IN THE MIDDLE of the ocean! Lollipop Girl had felt that there was NO HOPE of ever reaching HER ISLAND OFF THE COAST OF MEXICO, and she was very afraid. All she wanted was to be IN ANY OTHER WORLD than this lonely ocean, AS BLUE AS IT COULD BE. Still, she always kept in mind what her good friend MIKA had always told her..... Just have a LITTLE BIT OF LOVE! She held her chin up and SMILED LIKE SHE MEANT IT! So she fell asleep on the floating plane. The next day, she WOKE UP IN THE MORNING, SOMETHING ON HER face. It was sunlight! She had reached another day! She stood up to find herself on a beautiful island full of lollipops! "This must be the lollipop forest!" she thought, realizing that she could finally RELAX, AND TAKE IT EASY! Lollipop Girl was so excited, she could hardle contian herself! Then, to get a better look at her new home, she lifted her little blonde haired, pinked bowed head and saw ........ I CANT WAIT TO HEAR FROM ALL OF YOU! Yeah so I was in school today and showed it to a friend of mine who gets annoyed as I speak about mika nonstop. And she whips out a pen and goes "write your number on my hand, because I think I lost it" and I asked why She said "So next time I'm at the store and cabbage is on sale I will call you and we can have this conversation for real!!" Helllo evryone! Im new to MFC! My name is Sammy and I live in the smallest city of Conneticut, the second smallest U.S. state. I can acros MFC one day as I was looking for a MIKA fan mail adress online. (Go figure!) The first MIKA song I heard was Grace Kelly, adn the LOve TOday. A friend of mine was telling me about it, and she said "Oh it's by MIKA". I asked her "Whos MIKA?" She replied, "You kknow, MIKA! That skinny guy with curly hair and tight pants?" I found this intersting and did some research. LOVE AT FIRST SOUND! Now my nonstop talk of MIKA is starting to get some of my friend REALLY MAD! I am totaly hooked! I have gotten so many people to listen to MIKA! A hobby of mine is learning new songs to play one my piano, doing covers with my piano or guitar, and transforming popular songs into piano peices. Its really alot of fun, and I have quite a few MIKA peices down so far! I also perform with a professional theater company, in which I sing and act Another favorite band of mine is The Beatles. I have a couple hundred of their songs on my ipod. MIKA+BEATLES=LIFE!!!!! Hey guys! DO you need you daily dose of talking about MIKA, but dont have too much time? Well answer these quick questions, and lets see how different our answers end up! (It should be really fun to compare our opinions!) [1. What is your favorite song from LICM? ( I know its hard to choose) -I can't really choose, but if I was being held hostage, forced to answer, adn someone had taken my MIKA phtos out of my locker adn held them over an open flame, (AND ONLY AT THIS TIME OF DESPERAT MEASURES WOULD I BE ABLE TO ANSWER! ;D ) I would have to say Love Today or Stuck in The Middle. 3. What is your favorite line from the album (vocally)? -Stuck in The Middle's "Are five kids better than one? Who'd busy liek to be gone?" because of the cute little vibrato-sqeak things after "better than one" adn his AMAZINGLY TALENTED octave leap. Mika's falsetto is FANTASTICALLY HIGH! [2. What is you favorite line from the album (lyrics wise)? -I think that Grace Kelly's chorus (I could be brown, I could be blue) is very powerful because, as I heard in an interveiw, Mika's point for writing the song was to explain to the records companies which has rejected his unique sound that "I COULD be brown, I COULD be blue"... as in I have the ability, but I refuse to change myself to please you. In his own words "The most stylish thing a person can do is be themselves", and this explaining of his refusal to change himself and his personal image, shows this to a great extent. 3. What do you personally find so appealing about the album? -Besides the EYE POPPING cover, Mika's incorporation of characters into his album adn tracks is very entertaining. Mika also has such a unique sound, and his lesson to BE YOURSELF AND DONT CHANGE is very inspiring to me. 4. What do you find more entertaining: The lyrics of the songs, their music and melody, or both? -BOTH! ANSWER AWAY! CANT WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU GUYS!
