  1. Again, thanks for your welcomes! Well, I'm a little bit mad too, so I think I'll fit right in I think it's very funny too! It never happened before with ANY artist yet. From no other artist I would join a fan club, but MIKA is... well... hard to describe... DIFFERENT. At the moment Relax came out, I would have never thought I would do that
  2. Well, I actually was, but remember I'm a little shy boy! It took me a while to collect the courage which was needed to sign up! WOW! I turned MIKA Groupie in 4 and half an hour! NIIIICE!
  3. Hmm, I think they left out that name for some reason . I can't imagine this on my MP3 player display: Your Royal Curliness - Grace Kelly Maybe he would change his song names to Grace Curly, Big Curls (You Are Beautiful), Curls Today and Holy Curly .
  4. You're sooooo lucky! I want that too! . Nice for you, anyway! I wanted to get the Deluxe Edition too, but my parents thought it was not such a good idea, because it's such a slooow service; we've already paid for Live in Cartoon Motion MONTHS ago, but it still says we didn't . In the shops in my hometown they didn't have any Deluxe Editions .
  5. Hello, It may be a very, very silly thread, but as a MIKA (or Mika) fan, I just want to know. There are actually two ways in which MIKA's name is written (all letters capital, or just the M), but I don't know how to write it...? I think that it's supposed to be written with all letters capital, like you could see in my previous posts, because his name at his LICM artwork is also made with capital letters. Am I doing it right or am I using Shift too much, I wonder! Hey! I'm a boy and still have eye for detail! Look at that, girls!
  6. Maybe because it's fantastic... and beautiful... and completely MIKA? Well, I think so! Ultimate birthday present for a MIKA fan? Obviously!
  7. (Sorry! I didn't know how to quote ) In the Netherlands, the DVD was already out the 7th of november . :roftl: LOL. Never too young for MIKA, I guess! Thank you all for your welcomes! I think this is the kindest forum I have ever been on
  8. I think he should make one, but a REVOLUTIONARY one of course! He should apply his own Life in Cartoon Motion style to it. It should be super happy and with nice lyrics. Maybe he can round his Life in Cartoon Motion period off with a last single from his good ol' album? Christmas hits don't have to be about Christmas, after all!
  9. You know what I think? If he's going to change very much, I guess it's going to be his debut over again: everybody is surprised, and some probably not in a positive way, but when they just listen it again, without being prejudiced, I bet they will all be satisfied. I know how it feels to accept a completely other style by just listening to it withou thinking "This is something else, so this is something bad". You can see that in my introduction thread. My first opinions about MIKA's Life in Cartoon Motion were also negative, but in just a few weeks it turned out to have my favourite songs of all time! I guess it's actually the best to relax, take it easy (never thought I would make up such stupid jokes! ), and we'll see what it's going to be. I trust MIKA completely.
  10. I've got the DVD Saturday afternoon. I don't think you can compare it with Live in Cartoon Motion, because they are SOOO different. I'm glad I have both! But, about this DVD: I think it's a fantastic DVD. I first also had doubts about it being something else. Because of the somewhat similar tracklist, I feared for a DVD with just new versions of old songs, or how we call it in the Netherlands: old wine in new bags . And then you have that menu. That HORRIBLE main menu. That clown! AARGH! Fortunately the other menus are quite beautiful. I also had some doubts about the circus theme, but when the intro of Relax begins, all my doubts fade away at once. This DVD is just a little bit MORE of everything the previous DVD offered: a bigger show, the happy songs are really REALLY happy and the sad songs are more beautiful than ever; I spent my 20 euros well! My favourite song at the DVD is probably Happy Ending. Even though there's a beat behind, it's the best AND most beautiful performance of Happy Ending ever!
  11. Hello, I'm Mark0495. I'm 13 years old, and I'm at school in The Netherlands in the second grade Bilingual Education, which means I get more than half of the lessons in English, and the rest in Dutch. Anyway, I discovered MIKA when he just released Relax (Take It Easy). I first thought this song was very annoying, but you know what happens; first you think O NOOO! NOT THAT SONG AGAIN! (especially when a classmate tries to "cover" it while his voice is quite low ), then, you think, well it's such a popular song and I have only heard low-quality versions coming out of mobile phone speakers and in which the backing music was louder than the voice of MIKA himself. I put it onto my MP3 player and listened it about once per week. But once per week became once per day, and once per day became multiple times a day, and after that I became FREAKIN' ADDICTED TO THIS SONG! I decided to get his other single too (at that time Grace Kelly). A few weeks later, I just put his whole album on my MP3, to which I got so addicted to that I just HAD to buy his album. Well, then I listened it so often that I drove my parents and sisters CRAZY! After buying the album, Live in Cartoon Motion and Live at Parc des Princes (last Saturday ) followed. I even bought the sheet music: my collection is complete... for now. I was even so crazy about MIKA's music, that I ripped all the DVDs into mp3 files! And because I use Linux, I had to find a way to rip them to DVDs while being in command line, for there are no graphical programmes for that, actually. Poor me, my fingers are still tired of the typing of all that lines! My MIKA obsession has even grown so big that his music is, along with Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death And All His Friends, the only music on my MP3 player. And that means quite much! Mark0495
