  1. My feelings are all over the place. Bennyyyyyyyyy! Thank you for posting these I'm so excited for Parade's End.
  2. I have to say that I prefer many of the live versions of his songs, probably because I know they're live. But I love TOOL in this format too. It's great, maybe more 'radio', if that makes sense. It corresponds more (although it's SO much better, more layered, rich and powerful) to what is currently played, on english radio at least... I dunno, just my thoughts. I love it though, going to listen to it constantly until the album's out.
  3. Thank you all for your reports and pictures! Sarina, I'm so happy that it went well in the end, despite how it began! I'm almost as addicted to gig reports as I am to actual gigs. Almost.
  4. Casino de Paris will be on the 12th and 13th of November. As retweeted by himself: http://www.chartsinfrance.net/MIKA/news-80888.html
  5. I'm glad, you're welcome!! I should have some photos coming, if any of them came out ok! Mika's face was very shiny last night...
  6. Small-ish report from me: I arrived with a friend at about 3 o'clock. We got given numbers in the line which was greatly organised by a lovely lady, though I don't know who, from Mikafrance (?). Anyway, I won't detail how the queuing situation went haywire (unless someone's interested to know). People got chosen to go on stage, I was one of them, but had to decline because I was with a friend who didn't want to be left alone (I'm not really sure I would have taken the same decision in retrospect ). But I'm really happy for everyone who went on. Anyway, the gig was incredible. He was so full of energy. But you could tell that he was done in by the end. His voice was tired but he came back for an encore of The Origin Of Love, which he said he wasn't planning on playing, so we were quite pleased he did! He seemed so HAPPY smiling and dancing, laughing when the audience chanted "We're not tired!". I'm sure they'll be many videos to come. My highlight were Celebrate, I think Joy did an amazing job and Lola, which is the perfect song to get the audience going again. His voice on Underwater, well... There wasn't really a m&g really. A mass of people and a security guard moving him towards the car. He seemed in high spirits if not tired. He wasn't speaking much, (to not strain his voice further?). I had an amazing time and I'm glad that he enjoyed himself so much- apart from maybe forgetting how to play Lola which he said was his worst nightmare and the thing that kept him awake at night. (awww) Sorry, that was quite long and probably boring. It's very difficult to put the experience into words.
  7. Hi Angélique Welcome to MFC! Hope you have fun. N'hésite pas de venir nous voir dans le thread français!
  8. That's interesting. I never thought of it like that. Well we'll just have to see when it comes out. Though I'm still not sure if I want to.
  9. Oh goodness I have never seen this thread before. Hello! I am a (devoted) Sherlockian. Yeah. On the subject of Elementary I think that they may have gone a bit too far for it to still be Sherlock Holmes. I don't think you'll be able to say it is any more related to it than House is. Making Watson a woman defeats much of the point of the original stories. Methinks.
  10. Does anyone have a link to the 2010 Birthday Project book? I remember it was on megaupload, but that site's dead now. Also, is there a thread where links to all the finished projects (Birthday and Yearbook) can be found? That would be a really cool thing to have!
  11. This is the most amazing thing! I'm so happy for you. I think I would have passed out in your situation.
  12. Ah! That makes sense, I knew I was going wrong somewhere. Not to mention my awful spelling/grammar. Thank you
  13. I know what you mean. I'm actually glad he did this one in French because it would not have been pretty in English!
  14. It's fine, doesn't matter. @basicamenteyo It's basically about this woman telling him off about all the things he does and the way he is and he seems to like the fact that she'll die soon. I know, very pleasant
  15. Yeah, you're right. I was typing too quickly and I misspelled it. I've edited it now. If anyone finds other mistakes please let me know. Translation is roughly: She tells me to write a happy song, not a depressing one, a song that everybody loves. She tells me I'll be a billionaire. I'll have something to be proud of. Don't end up like your father. She tells me, don't lock yourself up in your room [some part I don't understand] Tell me what your problem is. She tells me what's up with you, you look stuck [other part I'm not sure about] You'll end up like your brother. She tells me, it's your life. Do what you want, whatever. One day you'll understand and then you'll blame yourself/feel bad about it. She tells me you're so lame, get out of your bubble. You're doing whatever you fancy, it looks like you enjoy it. Why are you wasting your life? Dance dance, she tells me to dance. She tells me to be like other boys and go hit a ball. Then you'll be popular. She tells me what are you doing on the internet? There's something wrong in your head. Look at all the time you're wasting. Why do you [something I don't understand] you look like an 8 year old. You're not going to please anybody in that way. She tells me that one day she won't be there anymore and it's when she tells me this that she's telling me something I like to hear. She tells me, you don't have white hair yet but you're almost 30, you should wake up now. She tells me, you're still a child, you'll never grow up and I'm already old. She tells me, look at your friends and what they're doing with their lives. She tells me, one day I'll kill her and when she tells me this she's telling me something I like to hear.
