  1. LOL! It is great news...however, it's Monday. That means House or Heroes or nothing for moi. But great, great news that the song is getting TV play.
  2. Me too... or another Mika gig somewhere I could get to easier than Europe/GB...
  3. LOL... great comment.. ! HD and then slow -mo too I bet. He's a skinny dude, depends on your defination of muscular. I'm guessing he doesn't lift weights or?
  4. Woot! He used it!!! That's great. It's fun stuff. Did you know after the show in Oakland while I was getting my bag and kind of hanging by the front still, the security guard that took mine from me asked me if that was some I had planted in the crowd...I lied and said no, no..

Are you back home now safe and sound? Yes, those Mika concerts were unbelievable. So much fun.

  5. I'm really glad you decided to come to this show as well as the LA one. It was a lot of fun and Sunday it was so hot. It was a real pleasure to meet the you and all the others! Playing cards, going to Sears, Superstar squeezing though to get to the elevator faster.
  6. Great interview. I can tell the lady doing the interview is just gushing over him...or..? because I am, I'm sure she is.
  7. I just read Christine's twitter. Don't know what is going on but I will mention that at the Oakland show (and I didn't see this at the Chicago show) but at the Oakland show they had a special VIP thing for Visa signature card holders. Those people at Oakland, cause I chatted with them, got to go in ahead of everyone else. The only thing I can think is it's something to do with a promotion tie in with either Visa or Ticketmaster. My tickets in Chicago didn't come from ticketmaster, but the venue group. Big corporations ...don't get me started...but they aren't high on my list of things I like at all..
  8. Gotta go assist in making sure his San Fran day is wonderful.... Yippee!!! Just to be in the same town..even if it is huge...
  9. Hi all. I've decided Andrew is not a standard toaster but a complete bells & whistles toaster - also known as the best toaster in the world! I had a blast at the show and getting the m&g was beyond belief. Unfortunately, my camera's batteries bit the dust before the show started and so I have no pics or videos', just my small, almost full and unable to disk defrag (that's a computer joke for above mentioned toaster) brain/memory. It was so great to meet all the other MFC'ers and make new friends and put names to faces and posts. The time in the line went fairly fast. I thought Mika was actually in a lot of pain last night but trying not to show it and having had injuries that require painpills when they work, great, you don't feel anything but then they wear off (unless you keep popping them) you really hurt. His dancing was way different than at the Chicago show but there he had no reason to roll on the floor or move his body more than his feet. The crowd energy was high and from my bud justnick, the crowd was a LOT more fun in O-town than in LA. All in all, it was a terrific show and I will have to add more as I go through the memories and decompress when I'm home tomorrow with no more traveling.!
  10. Lost her luggage? Aaaargh! That sucks. I hope Mika's ankle is ok and I hope we get a chance/opportunity to meet him (ie, it would be wonderful but I'm not counting on it), although he does have tomorrow off.... If anyone needs/wants my cell to text me, just p.m. me. I'll be heading down before too long. Must have coffee first...or.. is it beer o'clock? I could bring some cards and we could play poker and use pistachio shells as chips!
  11. So, did they split the queue last night into boys/girls again? or just break up the long line into 3 shorter longer lines? Maybe they should start doing it like ski lift lines..
  12. Yes, I don't know if people are flying into San Fran or Oakland but you do have to take a shuttle from the Oakland airport to the BART. I drove by the theater today as well and snapped a pic with my phone. Cookies will be great but I think water is going to be required! And ice! Maybe a big ice block to sit on and cool off while we wait. I found a great party store real near the venue (well.. pretty near, not walkable but) and I got some great black light makeup - the yellow, green and pink...! Don't forget I will have a car and driving there. Oh, and the convention center which I believe is attached to the Marriott or close to it at least is having a "professional dog trainer" show so if you have a pooch and want to buy something, you could! I considered a t-shirt with a dog on it saying..hi, my name is "no, no, bad dog..." but even though mine can be monsters, I don't call them bad dog too often..
  13. I'm interested in knowing if they separated the boys from the girls before opening the doors, like they did in Chicago. I've never been to a concert where they did that before. Although in the end it didn't matter as I was front row, it pissed me off at the time because the boys were mostly 20 or so back from the front of the line and then all of a sudden they were at the same place as us that had been waiting and waiting. I'm sure the LA gig will rock. Mika must be getting happy that it is almost over and he can go back home and decompress for a bit (hopefully).
  14. Maybe they can do shifts and try and sleep a bit while others are queueing.? That's a long azz drive from LA to Oakland...and after a point coffee just doesn't help anymore at least for me.
  15. I have an extra ticket/daughter is bailing on me - GA. I also just realized the show starts at 8, so I probably won't be ready to queue until 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 myself. I will, however, have a car, so if anyone wants to put stuff in it, instead of take it into the venue, (Leonita and I did this at the Chicago show and it was a huge help), you are more than welcome to. It's also supposed to be very, warm also known as (75) tomorrow. I'm going out today to see if I can find some face paint that looks great under black light and do some shopping for stuff. Please let me know if any of you need anything or if you need my contact info so you can text me/meet up. I can cruise down to the venue at anytime and bring things as well (ie water!). Can't wait to meet you all!
  16. I currently have a GA ticket for Oakland as well as my daughter is choosing to go to a birthday party instead of seeing MIKA. /cry
  17. Ok, I just put the tickets in my suitcase. So "running around" like crazy to leave today to go to SFO/Oakland. Will decompress tonight/tomorrow at my daughters and be up and ready to rock the town on SATURDAY!!! More later when I have a chance.. See you all soon! It's supposed to be in the 70's on Saturday.
  18. HIIIIII! I just got home and I'm already in bed, and I can't type as fast on my laptop as my desktop. I started a report at the airport but this will be a brief overview! First, it was SO fun to met all the other MFC'ers and go crazy! I think I have bruises on my arms from getting squished over the whatever you call it before the stage/barrier? Front row center. Perfect. 90% I'm guessing were MFC'ers. Our editor is extremely pretty so I'm not at all surprised she got lots of eye contact. I said, he HAS to meet you, you are the editor! I took pictures but I need to find my cord to upload them or put my printer together so I can just get them in that way. He got the cupcakes I ordered for him, I have a picture of them, he got the cupcakes from the girl in the line after the show as well. I had three cans of silly string and gave two to one guy (why oh why did I do that??) and our initial plan had been to silly string when he played Rain, but I was the only one with any so I did and then Mika took it from me. Next time I'm planning that better. His little tea pot is broken (the leg is messed up). His zipper did come down but no ripped pants! He made his comment about selling out larger venues even though his record company didn't think he could. I have to pause now, I'm beat. I may pop over to the Oldings but I'm very glad I went to the show. I'm very glad that the MFC'ers and real Mika fans gave him a ton of support. It seems to me that this tour has been so rushed and filled with activity. Poor Mika has been doing something everyday. I hope he gets to chill with Ella and be a kid for a few hours. I understand it - the publicity machine is working full out and he does have to promote his music. I assisted with the picking out of the big girls after I got turned down to be one. The one that posted the pics, I did not pick out. I can't wait for Saturday in Oakland. Silly string and earplugs which I forgot. Oh, the Meyers have video and all sorts of stuff but they said it was going to take them awhile to get it all together.
  19. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not packed either... I can't decide what to wear!!! I was going to wear white jeans but of course, of course, I can't risk it right now. I have a bunch of different options and I hope I can check in early otherwise I'm s.o.l. AARGH!!! Focus on what's important.... Mika tickets? Check. $$? Check. Everything else is gravy...
  20. No, it's what I would call middle...central. I don't know why it's so windy. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact there are no mountains around to block anything. I'm not sure on the sea level either. I'm in Colorado and we are high...over a kilometer high is Denver (aka "the Mile High City"..). We get real strong wind when it wips along the mountains..it picked my son up one time I was walking him to school, I was holding his hand and he was off the ground.
  21. I think it will be breezy tomorrow but normally Chicago is known as "the windy city"... and I'm not a big wind fan, we get enough of it here in Colorado for me...
  22. I feel like I'm running around like a clown, but not on purpose, just out of sheer exciteablenessness!!!!
