Oh that would be fun! We should do that sometime! :-D How do you get to Fota actually?
There's a train that goes out there which doesn't cost much. I haven't been out there in years. It's lovely though. They has cheetahs
-
Oh stop! That sounds oh so tempting! She would have a fit!
Specially if she was near the freezer at the time. Could you imagine?!?!
*BANG!*
Mairead: x_x
Shaz: 'Coke's done! '

UCC has to have the nicest campus in Ireland! and OMG you've just made me realise I've never been to Fota I need to go there someday!
Come with me! I always want to go but no one will ever go with me!!!!
Mikafish can I ask your name? Otherwise I'm going to shorten your username to Mika and that could get confusing
-
Me too I'm not sure why I wanna make something explode in my freezer cos that's obviously not good but I do!
Plus I don't think Mairead would like that one bit.
HAHAHA! That actually made me cackle a little bit. The mental imagery!!
*BANG*
Mairead: 'NO NOISE!!! .....Wait, did that come from my freezer?!?!....... OKAY, WHO'S THE JOKER!?!'

hey guys,
Feel free to kick me out, I've wandered over here to try to get to know people that are going to the Dublin gig.
Get Out!!
I kid, obviously! Welcome! I just discovered the multi-quote button. Happy days!
To be honest I feel much more familiar with Kerry than Limerick cos well it's where I went to secondary school and where most of my friends are from and that.Aww! You love Cork
I know quite a few people in UL, Mary I. and the art place, as well as Limerick dwellers who attend UCC. I think I've actually BEEN to the county only once though, during a Rag week baha.
Cork is awesome. It's smallish and you're not too likely to get mauled by chavs or knife-wielding loonies. UCC is gorgeous, and Fota isn't too far away.

Bopping to music.
Not in my underwear though, Mika.

That's what you'd call typically Irish
Well I've been to Killarney! But never Killorglin. I'd consider Killarney to be one of if not thee prettiest area in Ireland!
Killarney is fabulous, as is all the surrounding area where I am. Kerry overall is arguably one of the nicest counties. Well, it needs SOMETHING going for it!
I really only prefer Cork because of the civilisation factor. Gloria Jeans, HMV, Game, Pennies and the English Market are essential to my happiness
-
about 1-1,5 hrs. I forgot about it!
Okay, mental note, do not leave coke in freezer for more than 45 mins
-
Aw really? I've never been down that side now.
You've got the right idea There's nothing down there! Well, it's pretty. Big mountain range, valleys, gorgeous beaches.
Very little by way of civilisation.
-
It did happen to me. I was chilling my coke...aand....BUM! not fun..not fun at all!
Wow. I didn't know that at all. How long did you leave it in there??
-
Dublin rules. I'm Irish and I STILL want to go there as much as possible. It's just a great city. And I love the guys with Dublin accents
-
What part of Kerry are you from? I'm from the Limerick/Kerry border and went to school in Tarbert!
Killorglin! 20 mins from Killarney, and home of Puck bleedin' Fair!
-
Good idea!
'This, is money. That, is a supermarket. Fetch!'
My brother would be much the same anywhere BUT Tesco.
Man, I kinda wanna put energy drinks in my freezer.
I usually put my coke in there to make it extra chilly! Never had any explosions though!
-
really?!
GO GO GO!
-
She should bring him to Tesco and tell him to get food, while she waits in the car. Training!
-
It's insane! I'm gonna have to get chatting to as many Irish-gig-goers as possible between now and Feb - it'd be a shame to suddenly meet someone I Dublin, get on great and only realise it AFTER we've already hung out
-
Where in Cork are u from Nollaig?
I'm living in the city - I'm originally from Kerry (I'm a kerrymaid!) but I've been in UCC the last three years and now I'm too attached to the city to return to wasteland that is west Kerry
-
The price of postage on mikasounds is ridiculously expensive. I expect my ticket to be placed in it's envelope by none other than Mika himself after paying €6.50
All I can say is, this gig better be worth it
-
:roftl:
Your brother's food exploded in the freezer?!
I know that's what cracked me up too!
How does one blow food up with a freezer???
-
I'll probably be staying with someone in Dublin as I have a few friends up there, and it will save a few yo yos cos I'll have to get a hostel in Belfast!
Yeah I'm thinking about calling into a mate of mine who lives up there, I never see him. Can crash on his couch, he won't mind.
I'm still debating Belfast.
Should I.... Shouldn't...I....?
-
Oh yum We should get some to keep us going on Monday or the closest we can find in doughnut form!
Shaz what kinda place you staying in, or are you staying with someone who lives in Dub?
Hostels ARE cheap. I usually stay in hotels. But usually I share with one or two others so it's only about 20 quid each.
-
Yes.......£33 each really.................I had better not think about it really:naughty:
Yeah, £33 is less than €36 at the moment, and less than €40 at the best of times. And it cost us €39 face value, €50 including charges. Nice. Over a tenner more.
-
Can I ask - how much did the British gigs cost in pounds sterling? I have a feeling there was a massive price difference between the Dublin one and all the others.
