Not What You Think I Am
  1. My friend, trying to sing along to One Foot Boy for the first time: 'take that crows look off your faces' She then, when I asked her to repeat it, made a beak with her hands and said she was demonstrating a crows look...I love my friends
  2. Love Today, I first thought he sang 'je suis clued, you're just like your mother' ... it didn't even occur to me that that would make no sense
  3. I've often wondered that too, I'm torn between what you said and my friend's suggestion of 'don't stray too close to me' ... your's makes a bit more sense I think I used to think Love Today went 'girl in the blue with the beatbox style'. Thought it for so long the automatic thing for me to sing is still those words...
  4. I think I've just found my favourite thread...can I join the list?
  5. Had one last night where he'd moved into the house next door to my best friend. They called as soon as they saw who their new neighbour was because they knew I'd want to see him, so obviously I went running round, grabbed my friend and dragged her over to Mika too. Then it started getting weird, after introducing ourselves and having a bit of a chat he told us he'd hidden some tickets and backstage passes in his house and if we found them we could have them. Cue us running round the poor man's newly furnished house desperately hunting for these tickets while this strange dog-cat-fox...thing...chased us trying to nip us and get us out. We did find the stuff though, and got a big hug in reward Told my friend about it, her reaction: ---> --->
  6. LOVE Paramore but have never seen them (yet!), saw Fightstar on the 2008 Kerrang! Tour and was pleasantly surprised, and I think Mayday Parade are supporting Madina Lake in April, so I'll be seeing them then!
  7. 'I can't stop listening to the cd...when i get up, it goes on. I come home from work, it goes on...then when I'm at work I'm telling them all how good it is!' Not such an amazing quote, apart from the fact it was said by my Nan! She also texted me the morning after I was at the gig with instructions to call her and tell her all about it. In the end I went round her house and before she'd even properly opened the door she was going 'was he good? how good? I wish I'd been there with you!' She's a big fan
  8. Good Gone Girl Touches You Missed the first line of both, takes a sec for my camera to kick in and record...
  9. Here's Toy Boy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13i-FqaPvgE As I've put in the description, sorry for the shaking but I've been ill and by the end of the show I was really tired but I love the song so wanted to still get a video Still have Touches You and Good Gone Girl to upload, but the speed youtube is going, I might not have them up until tomorrow
  10. My Interpretation More to come later, but I've gotta go out for a bit soon and youtube is painfully slow uplaoding today, so I'm hoping to get the others up this evening
  11. First off, I should probably apologise for joining, posting a tiny bit, then dissappearing...things have been a little crazy here and I haven't had much spare time, but we're getting back to normal now So, last night...had a bit of chaos on the tube getting there (delays, closed escalators and corridors, long waits between trains) meaning I didn't get inside the venue til just before 8. But after that, it was amazing! Managed to get just past halfway down and right in the middle so I had a pretty good view for much of the night and was far enough foward to have everyone around me dancing and singing along, rather than just standing (to the person who's foot I accidently jumped on, I'm really sorry!). Mika and the band were even better than I was expecting, I don't think I've ever seen anyone put on such a good show (including Muse, and I'm a huge fan of them so Mika must have been good for me to say that! ). Thought the songs sounded really powerful and I was impressed with the energy he kept up throughout. Also, that drum intro to Lollipop might just have been the single most impressive thing I've ever seen at a gig! Left with very achey arms and a sore throat, but it was worth it and I just wish I was going again tonight! Managed to get some pictures, they're not too great but thought I'd still share them I'm uploading some videos (better quality than the pictures) to youtube as well, I'll post them once they're all up
  12. I really like that! Billy Talent - River Below I'm pretty much in love with the singer's voice, especially when he gets a bit screechy towards the end. Seeing them live for the 5th time on Sunday, I can't wait!
  13. Yeah it was, I saw several people cry because of it! We had Brain Stew and Jaded as well, the latter also being met by many blank faces! Everyone knew She though, which surprised me, what with it being older...
  14. Yeah, there was someone in front of me on the way out and they were saying to their friend how they really enjoyed how Bille Joe came back and finished by playing "Last Night on Earth and those two other songs...". I've always think of Wake Me Up When September Ends and Good Riddance as being well known Green Day songs, so I think she only knew the latest album!
