  1. exactly, that's just such an important thing with these gigs, spending time with friends. Thankfully, a bunch of them don't live *that* far away, so we can meet up regularly.
  2. It was great to meet you too but I also feel I didn't spend enough time talking to some people. But as Mika said:there's always a next time! Me neither. It's like staring into the abyss.
  3. Oh, but I'm very happy with my M&G! It wasn't my first, and I got to do what I wanted to, got a nice smile, some sweet words and amazing eye contact in return. seriously, at a M&G like this, that's just amazing. I think he's happy to meet and talk to anyone, as long as they are respectful and friendly.
  4. same here, that'd be awesome. or maybe not...since I look like I've taken drugs on every pic I've seen of me from after the gig.
  5. True, I had the chance to give my presents & tell him who they were from (brought some from other fans), ask him for a siggie, tell him how amazing his show was and thank him for it, and he just looked me straight in the eyes, smiled and thanked me like 3 times for that. Yes, I'm that easy to please. *must try not to think about that moment too long/too often*
  6. True, yet when a M&G happens like it was on Monday (and I'm *very* grateful for it), and you know that he's in a bit of a hurry to get back to the hotel, I don't particularly feel the need to start a whole dialogue with him. I'm just pleased to have met him and to have been able to tell him how much I enjoyed the show. Especially since I had no special project to hand over to him. You know? I guess at other M&G where he's less in a hurry (for instance with the birthday cake in Italy or in Colmar), I'd also feel more inclined to have a proper conversation, given the opportunity. But he is under all circumstances incredibly sweet and friendly. It's always a joy to meet him, frankly.

  8. thing is, I really like this one too...so..hmm...will have a think about how I'm going to do it. Hope you can also find a nice new one!!
  9. I just remembered...after Blue Eyes he said: I lost my microphone...And I sang loudly: look in the Lost & Found some giggles followed from our part of the audience

  11. Trip to Edinburgh was an absolute blast! We (Ilseh1983 & I) first met some MFC'ers on Sunday at the Last Drop Tavern, and we had such a good time. It was amazing to meet everyone, especially Nightbird (love you, sweetie!), and we had way too much wine...in the end I nearly got a proposal from an older yet interesting guy called John, let's say it was a night full of mayhem for me. When we left, I stumbled over some concrete thingy, got both my knees smashed, got dropped off at the wrong place by a cabbie, got to the right place thanks to the cops, etc. yeah. one of those nights. On Monday, we left early and stopped by the venue, thinking no one would be there yet, but we were already nr 12 & 13. Had my inflatable pillow to get my butt on but sadly we had to shift because we had to stand in a queue from noon onwards! Helped out a bit with the sewing (loved the T-shirts!!!) And it was just amazing to meet everyone. Had such a good time, just such a pity with the rain and all that. Had numerous coffees and some chocolate muffins to feel better. :teehee:Had such a laugh with Gayvid and his pink blanket surprising the people on the buses that passed by. Saw Martin, Cherisse and John passing by, Maria, Mama P....And around 5pm it started pouring down...so we were all chilly and wet when we could finally enter the venue. The number system worked out extremely well and we could enter the place when the support act was still soundchecking. Nightbird, Freddie and myself were already completely up for it just listening to the music in between the support and Mika. Singing along like crazy. Mika was just stunning, such energy, and he was quite relaxed, didn't give a toss about his setlist...did Over My Shoulder, Sweet Dreams, ... although it wasn't on the setlist at all! Made some mistakes, but just had a good laugh about it, had great chats with the audience, loved the banner that was made for his birthday, loved all our balloons, bubbels, party blowers...I threw mine on stage like many others did and Imma took it and blew it into the microphone. She also loved our Kick Ass masks... had some great eye contact with the man during Blue Eyes (& at TW classic my chicken message was also during that song...hmmm. I see a pattern! ) Loved the new thing they did with Jimmy during Love Today....I don't know, the whole show just felt like one big amazing party. M&G was quick but nice. Got to give him my and Crazyaboutmika & Eriko's gifts, got him to sign my Korean booklet, he was so nice and kept thanking me when I thanked him for the amazing show. Met Imma!!! and got my pic taken with her... Goodbye's were so hard afterwards...I felt a bit like my heart was being torn apart. let the post-gig depression kick in.
