  1. Ha, I won't have the album until I get to the US in mid October. I'm not waiting that long. I just want to hear the full songs. :naughty:

Oh if I had to wait til mid October I'd probably listen to it in advance too. :naughty: But I know I'll get my hands on his TOOL in just a few days. :mf_rosetinted: I won't mind waiting for a bit longer, especially now that I'm quite busy with my studies. I just hope they won't postpone the release date, they've already done it once.

  2. I love the film to bits! I think it really adds to the song in an unusual way. The film's dark, even a bit creepy at times, while the song is full of joy and happiness. And as much as I love watching Mika in his videos I prefer these short films to the Celebrate video. :blush-anim-cl: They're the same thing he's done for ages: combining something joyful with something dark. This time it's just something visual combined with a song rather than his previous choice of dark lyrics and happy melodies.

  3. Today I (kind of) stood up for LGBT people and told some of my closest classmates that I "wasn't exactly straight". I feel like a massive weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I'm actually really proud of myself - that's something I haven't gotten to experience very often.

  4. Just wonder does anyone know why Popular have different names?

    Popular (I Know About...)

    Popular Song

    :dunno:

I've been wondering about this too. I guess we'll have to wait until we hear the different versions but I doubt they have differences - they already have so many deluxe versions it wouldn't make much sense to change one of the songs on the actual record. Or maybe it would, what do I know, we're talking about Mika here... :aah:

I'm definitely going to get the UK version, seeing as it's the one my local shop is selling. After I e-mailed them they got the French edition too but I'm more interested in the acoustic songs on the UK one. It would've been a lot easier for all if he had just made that hardcore fan edition like people have suggested. :sneaky2::naughty:

  5. I wish I had a local record shop, but I don't so I'll just have to wait and see if you will be able to buy the deluxe version on cdon.com and if you don't then I have to order from mikasounds.com, unfortunately. :teehee:

They do? Where did you find that?

Don't they have it on the Swedish cdon.com? Here are the links to the French and UK ones but the site is in Finnish.

    French deluxe edition:

    UK deluxe edition:

EDIT: I just checked, they have both of these versions on the Swedish site too. :thumb_yello:

  6. Yes, and I ordered 2CD version. I assumed it's the UK version, because it was the only 2CD version they had. Hm, please let me know their answer!

I think it's the UK version too, but then again cdon.com is selling both the UK and French versions in addition to the basic one. I'm also not sure about the release date if the version Levykauppa X is selling is the UK one. :dunno:

I'll message you once they've replied to me - hopefully that will be soon. :thumb_yello:

  7. I noticed it too :naughty: I ordered mine, they promise to send it day before the releasing day so this is the fastest way to have it anyway.

Levykauppa X? :teehee: Did you order the 2CD version?

I just sent them an e-mail asking about the tracklists and the release date, I hope they'll reply to me. I'm really curious about what version they're selling.

  8. No, I don't think so that's how I have understood things as well. :wink2:

But what I don't get is if you order the cd from Mikasounds.com do you get your cd the 17th of September or the 8th of October? :dunno: And why isn't it released the 17th in Sweden and Finland, I'm confused.

I honestly have no idea. I haven't been looking very closely into this and in all honesty I'm so confused at the moment I think I'll just order the first one I can get easily, which would be one from a local record shop. :naughty:

I don't know if this has been said... but...

I'd advise ppl to be sure to get their own country's version. If anyone wants another version aswell. Or one that's released earlier, that's great. But to make sure he sells well in every country, each country's own version should be on our shopping list for sooner, or later.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that! Thank you Marilyn. :thumb_yello:

Apparently Mika is collaborating with my favourite record shop because they seem to be releasing OOL on the 14th of September instead of the 17th. I refuse to believe this is an error on their website. :mikacool:

  9. Good :thumb_yello:

I understand you I would really like the french deluxe version and the uk deluxe version. Don't know how though.

Me neither! :aah: I've felt incredibly stupid with this whole pre-ordering. I'd love to get the UK deluxe version but I'm not sure what is the best way to order it and it annoys me that it's being released later than the other versions (or have I misunderstood something again?:naughty: ).

  10. Now you can preorder it in swedish stores. But only the standard CD from what I can see. And it will be released the 19th of September.

I think the set list is the same as the UK version.

    1Origin of Love

    2Lola

    3Stardust

    4Make You Happy

    5Underwater

    6Overrated

    7Kids

    8Love You When I'm Drunk

    9Step With Me

    10Popular Song

    11Emily

    12Heroes"

    13Celebrate" (featuring Pharell Williams)

    14Make You Happy" (Miami Edit)

Just checked the same site in Finnish - seems the be the exact same thing. :thumb_yello:

I really can't decide which version to order. :nervous:

  11. Did you hear that the finnish fans are crazy? his concert was sold out in mins and ticket was 145€ :aah:

Oh wow, I hadn't heard about this! :lmfao:

I never had any intention of going to see him but I hope this doesn't get cancelled. For some reason many artists that have dates in Finland seem to cancel them. I was tempted to go see Björk at a festival earlier this month but didn't want to take the risk of buying an expensive ticket for nothing - she has a bit of a habit of cancelling her gigs in Finland at the last minute. :aah:

  12. Did you hear that he recently retracted that thing about the album being less layered and said he wished he'd never said it because it's very layered now?

No, I must've missed that! Thank you for clearing that up. :flowers2: It makes much more sense - after hearing MYH I remembered that comment and was very, very confused. :naughty:

I'm glad he hasn't tried to forcefully strip the songs into something very simple. Electronic music can be very shallow and cold if it doesn't have enough going on to keep it interesting, even if it's made with real instruments (or vegetables :teehee: ) to give it a more organic sound.
