  1. Thnk you, THANK YOU for your wonderful reports, @mellody, @camille*, @virgi, @holdingyourdrink and those I forgot. Thank to you we really feel all the emotions. I really enjoyed to read you all in the week  :wub2:

@holdingyourdrink, I'm so happy for you, especially with you drawing ! That's so great ! I must admit I have a little preference for the reports of the "first times". It always gives me some nostalgia.

When he looks at you, he literally stares at you, and sings more lines without taking his look away and it feels like he’s singing just for you.

Even if it's not the same context and I can only imagine the feeling when it's the first time after a pandemic,, I agree with you on this point, that's really the best. I'm still dreamy when  I think of my very first time I had that sensation he was singing "for me". And it was nearly two years ago...

    9/20/21 ZOOM RECAP

For those of you who weren't on the MFC Zoom call yesterday, I thought I would just sum up for you what was discussed. (Those of you who were on the call, please let me know if I've forgotten something or gotten it wrong.)

    * The MFC Tour Boat is set for Sunday, 24 October 2021. Departure time will be 3 p.m. so if you are attending you will need to arrive at least 15 minutes before that. We will be sailing with Vedettes de Paris and departing from the quay located near the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The boat ride will be 1 hour long, and there will be food available for purchase on the quay or on the boat. The boat company should be able to arrange for us to pre-purchase food that will then be brought on the boat to save us time waiting in queue. Details for this are being worked out and will be announced soon.

    * A Saturday fan gathering was discussed at length. Some fans have been in touch with a cafe located near the venue, and also the Hotel Mercure, where many fans are staying, to determine whether they have a space where we could hold either a breakfast or lunch. Realizing that many may not want to incur additional expenses, alternatives were discussed, such as finding an open park where we could gather, bringing our own food/drink. This idea depends on good weather, so a "Plan B" (bad weather) option is also necessary.

    * Pre-concert drinks somewhere before the Saturday night concert -- near or at the venue?

    * A method for staying in touch during the weekend was also discussed. Options include:

    -- posting on mikafanclub.com

    -- creating a WhatsApp group

-- creating a private group on Instagram

    -- creating a special/private Instagram account

-- creating a special Twitter account

I haven't yet decided what the best option is -- maybe we'll need a combination of these, so that no one is left out.

    * Other items:

-- It would be nice to have a way to identify each other, as not everyone will have an MFC badge -- name tags/stickers.

-- Decorations for the boat? Not sure whether we will be able to do much, as we are only sailing for 1 hour.

We did not get around to discussing flowers/gift for Mika yet, but we should! I will start another thread for that.

This is what I think my tentative schedule for the weekend will be here -- obviously it is subject to change. If you all have ideas for how I might fill it in, please let me know!

    -------------------------------------------------------

    SATURDAY - 23 OCT

    BREAKFAST/LUNCH - Possible Fan Gathering?

    AFTERNOON - Sightseeing around Paris

    7pm - Drinks before concert?

    8:30pm - MIKA!

    11pm - Post-concert drinks/snacks?

    ...

Thank for the infos ! A pre or post concert drink would be perfect for me, for seeing you all ! But of course, I'm not alone !

  3. Ah I didn't see for the Zoom. I suppose you will tell it here if we make a fan action or a meeting, so I will just quietly wait.

As for my plans before the concert, there's not much time of travel in train between where I live and Paris, and I don't want my father to take some days off for my own caprice so normally, we will only take the train on the saturday morning and arrive at Paris around noon. Excepted if there's a strike or I don't know what who make there isn't trains, so we will come the friday.  Then, the afternoon, if the train isn't late, (but it would be a big, big late) I plan to go to visit the national museum of natural history because not only I always wanted to visit it, but it would be very useful for my studies. Plus, I already made a full sightseeing in Paris at a school trip and the museum in on the same metro line that the Philharmonie, the train station and the hotel.

I would love to make the boat trip the sunday, though, but I can't. And of course, I hope we will see each others before the concert, or after if we wait, or when we return at the hotel, since I don't think I will be alone at the Mercure... :original:

If he doesn't sing Tomorrow I will be so sad because it is my fav song of his :wub2:

My dream  setlist includes Tomorrow, Origin of Love,  Les baisers perdus Ice Cream and Good Wife :swoon: I'm pretty sure Kids and Good Gone girl would be totally heavenly as well as Good Wife but it is unlikely that he sings them although you never know with Mika :wub2: and if he blesses us with new songs I'm pretty sure my heart will melt :cloud:

I had kind of refrained myself from hoping those concerts would happen but not anymore now...they are getting really close and I am daydreaming now :fangurl:

Me too ! I start to believe in it now ! The situation is better  in our country I would dare to think, I really think it will be OK (for now at last) !  :cloud:

I would love Tomorrow too. And Tiny Love, I'm sure it would be perfect in symphonic. I would love Heroes too, he made it before after all, and I never heard it live. But I think anything will be fine for me. I've dreamt of a symphonic concert for years, I will rediscover all the songs anyway so whatever he sings, I will be happy. I already told my father he must not be suprised if I start to pinch myself at a moment, because I will have  lot of difficulties to realise it will be real... :swoon:

How am I supposed to get through a day at work knowing the concert and all that Mika fabulous-ness is just a click away on YouTube? :crybaby: oh it's just too hard. All I wanna do is watch it on repeat! :cloud:

I understand ! Hard to return to reality.

As I work at home, I found the solution : I'm listening it while working. It's hard to not look at the same time, though :lol3:

EDIT : For example, I just looked with Mika's piano at Tiny Love. I'm weak.

    Fantastic Tiny Love intro :fangurl:

And the end of the song was totally out of this world. Is it me or he plays the piano better than before?? :cloud:

I was amazed by Tiny Love too ! :cloud: And Origin of Love... And "my" We are golden and...

It was so good ! The only default was it was too short :wub2:

Also, I found the testimonies inspiring. I didn't understand all, and I would love to with subscribes. It was just so fantastic !

  7. Thank you so much. More the time passes, and the more I'm waitig to see this concert.

Don't know why exacrly, but each time he's speaking about tolerance and break the norms, I'm feeling all warm inside. And what he says about the concerts, where we're opening at each other... It's so true. It's exactly how I feel it. Especially since in my everyday life, I'm pretty solitary and rarely feel connected to people. Excepted when I'm in a pit of a Mika's concert ! It's one of the only occasions where I feel perfectly fine with so much people.

  8. I can't wait for the virtual concert ! I'm so happy it's at this time, so I can watch it immediately !  ^_^

I was also thinking of my own soundtrack of empathy, but  it's hard to choose. Plus, more than half of my life was illustrated by Mika's songs. Something tell me it will be a little... unbalanced :lol3:  But still, I find the idea wonderful, so, when I got the time, I will make one.

As for Mika's, for the moment, I didn't have the time to really interpret it as I would love to. I wonder if he will explain some of its while the virtual concert...

I was actually thinking about this the other day: people who haven't seen him performing live with an orchestra yet, you're not ready, you just can't imagine how powerful it is.

I still remember almost 5 years after all standing ovations the audience did spontaneously in Florence, just wow :wub2:

     I'm sure I will cry, I will feel things I even don't know yet I can feel. But I can't wait :wub2:

  10. Thank @TinyLove_CJ. Even when you're not concerned yet (I suppose everybody will, one day or another) it's good to have the tools for helping your family and friends who could be LGBTQ+ and can need some help one day, or simply being really understood.  It's good to know those kinds of charity/informations sites... even if I would prefer its to not be needed anymore !

But in fact I thought I should uprade my  profile and add my pronouns. Because I realised not so far away from this day the importance it can have for LGBTQ+ people... So yes, even in 2021, Pride (and information) is REALLY useful !

True, and I remember some MFCers were very disappointed because they only attended the first 2 gigs and the meeting happened after the 3rd. :(

But as you can see from Deb's description, we had no chance to influence that. :dunno:

I'm practically 100% certain that if there's one M&G, it will be the sunday, the day I will not be there. It's always like that, I had too much luck in 2010, now I pay it :lol3:

Honestly I struggle just for not waiting too much this concert in case of covid difficulties. For the moment, I just hope the pandemia will not worsening in october nd until I know I can go, it's difficult to control my emotions between intense joy and fear of being disappointed in case it's not possible to make concerts at that time. M&G aren't even in my mind for now...

I appreciate what Mika has done but it's a shame he didn't sing anything for this 🙁

Still want him to notice MFC Pride though... :fisch:

Maybe he will when there will be the Pride Week.

I hope France will adopt the digital green certificate, right now I see I need to have a negative PCR test in order to fly to Paris, it doesn't matter if you're vaccinated or not.

The sure thing is, there's practically no chance for the vaccination to be needed in France. It would never be accepted by the population :teehee:
