  1. Fyi, in rennes and paris thete were no numbers, it didn't make sense due to multiple entrances. Anyway even if there are, like i said you have to rely on fans and security staff to make it work. Hope that answers your question. ;)

    Thank you :)

I'm going to ask my sister if she's okay with meeting up there, in that case I could join the early afternoon queue. As long as I'm not alone of course, I'd like to know if someone's gonna be there and at what time so that I have someone to talk to :naughty:

I'm assuming they wouldn't ban my sister from joining me once she gets there, though?

  2. Does anyone knows if cameras are allowed ?

I've got a bridge cam, it's better than a "normal" one but you can't change the lens.

In the value's FAQs/rules there's written: "16. Visitors may only take photographs or make video or audio recordings with the permission of the event organiser. Visitors are prohibited from taking photographs or making video or audio recordings in the areas of the Heineken Music Hall that are not accessible to the general public." also "professional photography, video and audio recording equipment;"

Normally, there's no problem with digital cameras, but I'm not sure now because they also mentioned "normal" digital cameras

As far as I know, cameras are allowed (as long as they're not professional, i.e. cameras on which you can change the lenses - which you can't).

Maybe Mika has a different policy, but I don't think so. I'm also used to getting an email that explains the specific house rules for the event I'm attending, so we might still get one?

Edit: In the FAQ they say:

(Dutch) "Mogen (digitale) camera's naar binnen?

Hoewel het fotograferen met mobiele telefoons nauwelijks is tegen te gaan, is fotograferen bij een concert officieel niet toegestaan. Het meenemen van digitale fotocamera's, selfie-sticks, professionele camera’s, film-, geluids-, go pro toestellen en andere beeldopnameapparatuur is niet toegestaan. Afhankelijk van het type show / artiest kunnen camera's geweigerd worden."

(English) "Can I take photographs during the event?

Although we cannot prohibit the use of mobile phones, it is officially not allowed to take photographs during an event. It is prohibited to bring (digital) cameras into the building and they will therefore be confiscated upon entrance. Cameras can be picked up from security after the event. We refer to your ticket for more information about the do's and don't regarding photography."

  3. Back in 2010 (Mika's last time at HMH), when John was Mika's manager, we used to get numbers if we were a member of the MFC :)

Those who came in early got early numbers, those who came later, got around number 60.

Those who had a number could get in about 10 minutes earlier than the 'normal' audience  ;)

We had to stand in line in the order of our numbers about two hours before opening. Before that we were free to go where we wanted, as long as we stayed within the area (otherwise it's not fair).

It was basically waiting all day without feeling the pressure of getting in first. Everyone was polite about it and the MFCers were on front row! No stress, just waiting and knowing you'll have a decent spot in the venue!

But I guess we'll see what happens :)

I don't know what time we'll go there.. Probably about 1pm or something..

Thanks for explaining! How would he know who's on MFC though, by the buttons? I don't have a button..

Anyway, I don't know what my day will look like, I don't think it's fair to my sister to tell her "I'll meet you there" when she's coming with me and I'm the big fan. But she has school until 16:30 :(  (in Amsterdam though, so we don't have to travel far, but still...)

  4. Thank you, I found a train to go there, too, but it's been a little bit too difficult with the connection, because I'd only have 10 minutes to go to another train.

But I'll arrive on monday, visit the city and will stay in the female hostel, that's been mentioned here before.

If you're at Central Station, the metro number 54 is a very good option to take you to Bijlmer ArenA. The train takes you in 15 minutes, the metro in 17 minutes, but as far as I'm concerned, the metro is much cheaper.

At what time is everyone planning on going there, to queue?

  5. I voted, but this radio has no more broadcasted one of his new songs since BBB (since september, it is not a joke), and don't speaks about his musical activity (NPIH tour, etc.) And, it is a VERY commercial radio which plays same songs and artists.

Anyway, I don't understand why he is named.

Moreover, his competitors are more famous than Mika for young people, especially teenagers, because there are them which vote the most.

I think that he will removed... :mf_rosetinted:

Well, I think we can be proud that he is named :) And who knows, if we try our best... :mf_rosetinted:

  6. but there are some people who dont live in France voted, so how did they do?

Hello, you have to connect with FB. It works I live in Belgium ;)

Oh sorry, you can connect through Facebook internationally... Sorry I misread, because you can only vote with your phone number if you're from France. Sorry!

    So everyone, go vote! :mf_rosetinted:

  7. thanks a million to all for the reports and videos and tweets!  i love when these two get together  :fangurl:

So what's the show actually called?

The show is called "Kun je het al zien?" (Can you already see it?)

I've finally watched it, or, I fast-forwarded to the Mika parts :naughty:

Loved the duet, and that coming from me (I strongly dislike both Dutch songs and Paul de Leeuw's voice).. but Mika singing in Dutch made my week

  8. Erhmmmm am i the only one that hasn't received their tickets yet...?? I'm getting concerned. Bought them on the day of release

I haven't received mine yet either! I bought them through MFC and when I go check Seetickets it says "We are awaiting delivery of tickets for this event. As soon as they are in stock we will send them to you."

So I guess they're still coming... I hope they will arrive soon!

  9. i haven't started yet, if you want you can do it :)

Okay! I have secretly finished it already because I was bored :teehee:

Bekladde poster Mika ontketent campagne tegen homohaat

    http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/960/Buitenland/article/detail/2417002/2015/08/09/Bekladde-poster-Mika-ontketent-campagne-tegen-homohaat.dhtml

Defaced billboard Mika unleashes campaign against gay hate

Yesterday, popstar Mika (31) unleashed a huge campaign against gay hatred on social media by posting a picture of a defaced billboard for his concert online. On the billboard in the Italian town of Firenze the word 'frocio'(faggot) had been sprayed in black graffiti. Also the face of the flamboyant singer had been made black.

"I'm not afraid of people that discriminate", writes Mika, who has been in a relationship with documentary-maker Andreas Dermanis since 2007, on Twitter. "Love does what it wants."

When the popular British-Lebanese singer saw the billboard, he initially did not want to say something about it. "To me it seemed best to ignore the hate, that I know very well, of some people," he wrote. "But you are right. We break the silence."

Countless twitterers heard that call. The hashtag #rompiamoilsilenzio ('break the silence') that had been called to life by Mika, was a trending topic for hours and is still used a lot. As a protest, the singer replaced all of his profile pictures with pictures of the defaced billboard.

The mayor of Firenze, too, has voiced his support for Mika, who is a coach on the Italian X Factor and the French The Voice. "I have had the billboard, defaced by cowards, removed immediately", writes Dario Nardella on Twitter. "Firenze is not homophobic, but an open city."

    Not the first time

This is not the first time that Mika, who is a passionate protagonist for equality, has to deal with gay hate. A few years ago, he was at a restaurant with his family when he got discriminating and agressive comments from other costumers. "The owners of the place started to play my songs so loudly that we couldn't even talk to each other anymore", he said to Le Parisien.

(Editor's note: They got the name of the hashtag wrong. Dumb mistake. Thanks to Laura (Alyara) for pointing it out.)

  10. hm, i don't know about this french-english version, this mix sounds weird to me. usually i don't mind, i remember this song by 90s boyband worlds apart, "je te donne" - it also was a mix of french and english, but i liked it. :dunno: but in this case, maybe it's just because i knew the english version first, but it somehow sounds badly put together, like it doesn't really fit. his voice sounds different in the french parts (maybe in the boyband song it didn't bother me, cause it were different people who sang? :dunno:), and i don't get why he hasn't done all of it in french, if he thinks he has to release a french version. did him and doriand run out of ideas for french lyrics that fit to the song? :teehee:

Agreed. To me it sounds like a duet with himself or something... The French is recorded differently and just thrown into the English song. It sounds really nice in French though, but the way this is produced leaves me feeling weird.

  11. No problem. It was kind of fun. Except a couple of words. One I knew the meaning of but knew it'd be blocked here hence the []. Then the word used in the bit about the binoculars was "flipper" and it took me some serious rearranging and searching for double definitions and how it may be used in slang to figure out he meant flip out. At one point I even almost gave up that word thinking the article had a typo lol. Didn't help I kept picturing a dolphin.

Mika likes to invent words, the more you translate him, the more you'll understand what he means and which word he uses for what :naughty:

It's a constant struggle in the Subs team chat! As is trying to come up with good translations of his mistakes, especially when it has (accidentally or not) a double meaning. But that all makes it even more fun :thumb_yello:

  12. That is so good. You must finish it.

Anyway, the wait is over. It is Porcelain

    My Mama asked

    And I HAD to agree!

    To clean her favourite cup

    For her camomile tea

    Porcelain

What a state I am in!

    I cleaned it carefully

    Now it's in pieces (93)

    It was antique

    One of a kind

    Unbreakable

    That's what I thought

    And then it fell

    And I watched it crumble!

    Porcelain

    Porcelain

    Now I'm in that shop

That sells things for one pound (£1 to explain it to international people who don't understand)

    I can see a cup

That's just there to be found.

    Porcelain?

    No, it's plastic, and so

    It will never break

And my Ma will never know.

    Oh clever me!

    Her camomile tea

    Will make her calmer

    But if my Ma

    Ever finds out

    I'll need some armour!

    Porcelain...!

Hahahha thanks, I'll finish it :wink2:

Love your Porcelain tea cup song :lmfao:
