  1. After Le Divan and Vivement Dimanche, we're not scared of big jobs. We'll just need to take our time since only a few members of the team speak Italian
  2. you are a hero the sound was very good to me, just a tiny bit not in sync, but not even that much
  3. Will there be a streaming? If so, could anyone record it? I've heard it starts at 5 pm
  4. At your service. That's what we're here for, to help people. Take a look at the list in the first post of the subs thread, you may find some other things you need.
  5. It was subtitled a while ago, both in French and English, take a look here: http://www.mikafanclub.com/topic/31335-mika-audiovideo-interviews-with-subtitles/page-24#entry3979405 part 2 around min 28
  6. Stupid people has always been there and sadly will always be, the only difference is that now with internet and social media they're there for the whole world to see. Before social media existed, it was nearly impossible for people to reach their idols, now it's even too easy and although this can be a way to make people feel closer to them and to see them more as normal human beings, it also makes it a hell of a lot easier for stupids to tell them all kinds of stupid or disrespectful things
  7. I think there's a difference though, one thing is when it happens in a tv show and the audience laughs and another thing is when it happens on twitter and I'll tell you why: for some people (like me) laughing is such an instinctive reaction that you can't really control even when it can be very embarrassing. I always laugh when people stumble or fall down or make mistakes while talking and it almost got me in trouble many times because, especially when someone gets hurt, there's really nothing to laugh about and people get mad at me. Call me stupid or childish, but as I said it's something that happens on its own and I can't really help it. That being said, I therefore think it's not that serious if people giggle a bit as a reaction to some of his mistakes which can be cute or funny sometimes, it lasts two seconds and it's over. But yeah, I agree there's no need for people to tweet him their comments and stuff. He made a mistake, it made you laugh, what's the use of letting him know? My point here is that when people can't help but spontaneously giggle to his mistakes and he's there, it may not be nice but there's nothing you can really do about it, but if he's not there and they take the time to write him a tweet, then they're doing it on purpose.
  8. Nah. As I already said the lyrics don't make sense to me either and I'm a native Italian speaker XD. Maybe I'm just too dumb to understand, but it really sounds like casual sentences and puns thrown together. It's supposed to be witty, but meh...
  9. Thanks Maurizia for the scans but I'm having a hard time trying to read them as they're a bit blurry. Any chance to have better ones?
  10. I tried to translate Fedez's part, it maybe doesn't make much sense because there are a lot of puns in Italian, but just in case you were wondering what he says, here it is. I keep repeating it in my mind just not to fall asleep I stay awake because the best is yet to vanish to dream about a different way of getting up again like the rain falling without ever getting hurt where did you come from? says an uncertain voice I don't know but we entered by an open wound the scars tell us to stay among the weaks we talk using the permanent sign language like yesterday you weren't there hereditary problems, unlucky heiresses because who criticizes you often is the first one to slay you when throwing a stone means more than a plea they told us not all that glitters is gold but they said so because all that glitters is theirs now I want to shout out loud, life sucks but the view is amazing I take those pieces of life I lived by mistake and I turn them into little worthy emotions some live no matter what, some live locked up in a bunker those who live in the light can see the beginning of the tunnel with a heart of stone, you with a guilty conscience sick and tired of sticking our heads in the anger eating the dirt, flavoring the soil now we seek peace even at the cost of making war against you with 24 thousand kisses maybe Judas would've wiped us out feeling inadequate, feeling one of many a wasted occasion turns men into thieves of regrets predatories born with a guilty soul report your life for misleading happiness and to all of us grown up in dark rooms where every asshole lies and the truth does too
  11. I hear "one night can make it worth it all", could it be? I know, I'm such a pain when it comes to lyrics... please bear with me. And yes, the refrain is a bit repetitive, but that's something we can find in some songs of Mika's too. What bothers me is that I can't really get the sense of the song and the connection between Fedez's and Mika's parts. They sound like two different songs put together without a theme.
  12. I think it's "DICE una voce incerta". Anyway, rap is not usually my thing but Mika's part is beautiful even though his voice sounds a bit altered, but I think it matches well with the style of the song. I can't wait to listen to the version sung by Mika only.
  13. What a nice... what's the word? Oh yeah....jacket!
  14. Ahahaha tired? Me? Nooo! I was only about to fall asleep on the sidewalk XD But hey, I'm so glad you dragged me into that bar with them! I really had a great time as you could probably tell by the fact that I kept speaking and speaking and speaking and... ok, you got it. I was even sad we had to leave in the end
  15. Well, the conversation started with Tom (the singer) asking us about the fan club and I kept talking about Mika a bit, then he said he'd love to learn Italian as he already speaks French and Spanish and of course we had to say Mika does too and that's when I told him about the subs team, then someone talked about Over My Shoulder and as they saw us fangirling over that song, I explained it's unusual for him to sing that one and that he probably did so in Florence because of the poster accident... so yeah, well... Mika was brought up in the conversation quite often and they seemed very interested and asked some questions, such as if he is so famous here and in France thanks to the tv shows because in England he was huge at the beginning but not so much now, they were curious to know some things we mentioned while speaking about him. I had imagined they had had the chance to talk to him a bit, since they're on tour together but I'm not so sure anymore. Sure thing is they like him. Basically, they're turning Mika fans into Citizens fans and we turned Citizens into Mika fans XD
  16. It was! Especially because they were really nice to us, they seemed really interested in Mika and as I said it's something that surprised me, you would expect them to promote themselves at least a bit, but they never talked about themselves, they only asked about Mika and about us and we had a chat about random things and even laughed a bit. And I even have to say the show doesn't really do justice to their songs, I listened to some of them on You Tube and they're nice. Aw thanks. Well, it wasn't that hard to promote him, they kept asking and I could talk about him for hours XD And to answer your question, I'm the curly girl on the far right, the one with the flowers and the plastic bag
  17. There's not much to add to what it's already been said about the gig and what happened afterwards, but I'd like to share my report too. Florence was exausting. The night before I had slept (badly) only a few hours but the excitement for my second concert kept me awake enough to drag myself around. Sarah and I arrived at the train station at about 2 pm after a two hour trip from Rome where we were for the previous gig and headed for the b&b or whatever it was where we had our room booked for the night. We waited for the bus and when it arrived, first thing we noticed was the big Mika poster on the side, it was the only bus we had seen to have that, what a coincidence. Anyway, we got off at the wrong stop or maybe the GPS just wanted to mess with us, because we had to walk way too long to reach the b&b. Not to mention the wind. My God, the wind... But, you know, we are young, we are strong and we eventually made it to our room. Just a little loo break and out we went again. We spent some time in a bar where I was about to fall asleep, then we headed for the forum to check how things were going. It was supposed to be a short walk but of course we took the wrong road and the GPS made us wandering around half of the town just to bring us back to where we were 15 mins before. It was about 5 pm when we got there and there was already a huge queue, we briefly talked to Saskia and Myriam and walked back to meet with Chy, Vv and some friends of hers. We chatted a bit and then we headed again for the forum together, where we spilt because we had to enter from different gates. Our seats were a bit farer than in Rome, but we had a better view of the stage and I even found Mika in a better mood than the day before. But the audience... how can I describe it? It was embarassing to say the least, people wouldn't allow us to stand up and dance (again), it was worse than in Rome, everytime we tried to get up they would complain, the only one who knew all the lyrics by heart was a little kid behind us, the rest of them woldn't even hum any of the songs. Mika tried so hard to interact with the audience but there were a few times when my jaw would drop with disappointment. The only moments when people were really part of the show was during Underwater, when they turned on their phone lights and followed Mika's directions and during Love Today, when he explicitly asked everyone to stand up and jump. It was such a shame, not only they weren't really part of the party but also didn't allow others to have a blast. I tried to enjoy every moment of it as much as I could and when I recognised the first notes of Over My Shoulder, I teared up a bit. It's one of the songs that gets me very emotional and it was so unexpected and beautifully sung that I'll never forget its magic, just like I'll never forget when he sang Any Other World in Milan in June, which was as much beautiful and unexpected. When it was over, we went to meet with some of the others and chatted a bit, we even took a pic with the Citizens! (thanks Saskia for sharing it!) and then we went to wait for Mika. I don't wanna add much to what I have already said about what happened, it was a mess, it was shameful, it was dangerous, some people went completely nuts and although I'm sad he didn't stop, I can't blame him. He was way too kind to even have his phone light on to let people see him. Anyway, after he left, Sarah and I stayed a little longer to chat with two friends of hers and what happened later was totally unexpected, it was a day full of pleasant surprises. One guy from the Citizens! approached us to ask whether we knew a bar nearby, we told him there was one still open right around the corner and when he came back with the full band, they asked us if we wanted to join them, so we did. I know this isn't Mika related, but I'd like to spend a few words to talk about them, because they were really sweet. We got in the bar, they offered to pay for our drinks and while some of them mostly chatted by themselves, the singer and the guitarist spent the whole time talking to us. They asked us if we were part of an official fan club and kept asking about Mika. They wanted to know more and more about him, which surprised me a lot, I told them about the poster accident happend in August and how that concert had a different meaning for him and that was probably why he decided to sing Over My Shoulder in the end, we talked a bit about the Subtitling Team and the singer had that amazed face, he told us we're really dedicated fans and I had the impression he was a bit sorry they don't have the same fandom, because he soon after told me they love Italy and would love to come back here with their own tour but they're afraid they're not known enough here to sell. We talked about music, soccer, food, language and many other things and when we left at 2 am, they hugged and kissed us, asked us if we had a place to stay overnight and told us to stay safe. They thanked us for being so friendly and told us Mika fans are an amazing big family. We then called a taxi and went back to our room. As I said, Florence was exausting but it was totally worth it.
  18. The concert in Rome was the first one of the new tour for me, I was looking forward to it and it was very good. I had tried so hard to avoid spoilers from the previous dates, but in the end curiosity won and I watched the whole Periscope of the Milan concert and I have to say I had the impression Mika was in a better mood there, more chatty and funny than in Rome. Oh well... it was good just the same. I was there with Sarah and it was my first seated gig ever, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, but now I know that seated gigs aren't that much fun for me. I mean, I didn't even mind much about being on the side of the stage (I actually could see part of the backstage, I even saw Mika changing clothes XD) I only wanted to stand up and dance and jump, but after the third song people behind me started to tell us to sit down, therefore we had to restrain ourselves from fully enjoying the atmosphere. We tried to remain seated for two or three songs then dance for one or two and then we sat again. I don't understand why people go to a Mika concert and expect people not to dance and sing along. We were also surrounded by teenage girls always going back and forth, running down the stairs every time Mika walked towards where we were or had to go backstage, then the security guy would tell them to go back to their seats, which they would do for maybe 10 mins before running down again. It was such a pain. But I tried to enjoy it as much as I could. His voice was good, better than in June I'd say. Once it was over, we went out to have a chat with the others, I met some new people and some I already knew: Allegra, Myriam, Lasher, Saskia, Eugenio, Sara, Solange and I'm probably forgetting someone else, I'm sorry, my memory sucks. It was so good to have a chat with you all (in case you're wondering, I was the curly girl with a flower headband). We waited for Mika outside, but he probably left from a different gate as we saw a car with dark windows doing so and when it stopped at the traffic light, a group of people ran towards it and stayed there until it left again. I heard someone say it wasn't him in the car, but we stayed there till 2 am and no one else came out. I wasn't really expecting him to stop with fans, but you know, hope springs eternal.
  19. It's not only scary, it's dangerous. I felt so embarrassed and sorry for what was happening that I wished I could leave, but when he passed by in his car I saw he was looking out and waving so I waved back. But believe me, I'd have preferred not to be seen in such a shameful occasion
  20. I don't know what they did during the concert, the only annoying thing to me was that people behind me kept telling others to remain seated. It's a Mika gig, how can you not dance?! But yes, what happend outside is very true. We were standing in two lines on the sidewalks but as soon as they saw the car behind the gate, the crazy people clumped together in front of it. I myself shouted to get away from there and stay quiet otherwise he would never stop. They stepped back into lines but when the car passed by, they went nuts screaming and banging on the windows and trying to stop it. It did slow down a bit because I think Mika recognised some fans but then it got even worse, his driver had to speed up to run away from the madness and a girl even got hurt. I don't know whether he had any intention to stop with fans for a while, but if he had, they made it impossible. He only waved and smiled from inside the car.
  21. I think so too. We decided to jokingly call the Subs Team "I was born in Beirut" for the very reason that that's his most recurring sentence and he never misses a chance to say that. I refuse to believe Mika said he was born in the UK. It's weird just the same, though... why didn't the journalist check his info before publishing? It seems he couldn't be bothered to ask/do some researches and decided to make it up.
  22. (Translation: I was born in the UK but I've got Lebanese and Syrian blood in my veins) Seriously??? I can't believe he actually said so after all the times he said that he was born in Beirut. Either he was drunk or the journalist didn't even get his facts straight.
  23. Yes Promiseland was so much better in Cattolica and it was the first time he sang it. I hope he'll get better because I love that one
