Hallo hallo lieve Nederlandse Mika fans, ik weet niet hoe actief deze thread nog is, maar laat mij proberen er nieuw leven in te blazen met een klein idee wat ik en andere Nederlandse fans bedacht hebben: Zoals we nu weten released Mika op 1 december zijn nieuwe album, hij zal daar ongetwijfeld veel promo voor gaan maken in Frankrijk, maar hoe leuk zou het zijn als hij dat ook bij ons kan doen? En nog leuker: hoe zou het zijn als het duo Mika + Paul de Leeuw eindelijk weer bijelkaar komt? 🤩 Het zit namelijk zo: op 5 december is zoals elk jaar weer een uitzending van Sint en de Leeuw, en ik dacht... waarom vragen we Paul niet of Mika daar te gast kan zijn? Hij heeft tenslotte ook al eens in de kerstuitzendingen gezeten, dus Sinterklaas zou net zo goed kunnen 😁 Paul heeft aangegeven dat je suggesties voor de show kan mailen naar de redactie van het programma, dat heb ik dus gedaan. Nu wil ik aan jullie vragen of jullie óók kunnen mailen naar sintendeleeuw@bnnvara.nl met dezelfde vraag: nodig Mika uit op 5 december! Hoe meer mensen dit doen, hoe groter de kans dat ze dit daadwerkelijk zullen overwegen, lijkt mij. Ik sluit ff een screenshotje bij van de mail die ik verzonden heb, uiteraard kan iedereen het zelf verwoorden zoals ie wil, maar dan hebben jullie een idee. Ik heb niet al te veel nadruk gelegd op het promo aspect, uiteindelijk gaat het er natuurlijk gewoon om (voor mij iig) dat we dit iconische duo weer eens samen op onze tv zien 🥰. Hopelijk zijn er meer mensen enthousiast over dit idee 🙏 en zo niet, doe dan maar alsof ik niks gezegd heb 😅🙈

Haha, yes I can totally see a quokka too! Or even just a golden retriever 😂. But someone commented on the first part of the series that he's like the capybara of the music industry, because much like the capybara gets along with every other animal, he seems to get along with every other musician. I thought that was quite fitting 😁. Another more superficial reason is that right now capybaras are a "trend" on Tiktok, so I hoped that by phrasing it that way I'd get more views too, but alas that did not work 🙈😂

I have a loooot of material to go through, I'll see later what I can and can't use hahaha. I think Tiktok doesn't favour repetitive videos, so I'll wait a bit before making a part 3, but for some reason since today the first part has been getting thousands of views an hour again, so that's really great 😲. I think the Scissor Sisters are quite popular, at least among what I would call my "target audience" (the Mika vids seem to appeal to many nostalgic millenials too), so they're good 😂. Also the surprise effect works really well, cause then you'll have people commenting like "omg he met [insert celebrity]?! I had no idea!" and the more comments (=engagement) you get, the more the algorithm will favour a video and push it to people's for you pages 😁

@kreacherthank you! There are definitely many which I hadn't seen yet, and indeed your Pinterest board has been very useful 😊. I managed to find out who some people were through Google Lens when they lacked a caption, that's a pretty effective method I think haha.

Kanye is ehhh, not a good idea right now, given his recent antisemitic statements, we'll let that one slide, pretend it never happened Same for Perez, it's not just that i don't like him, he's despised by most of the internet and it would reflect badly on Mika's overall image if people found out about their friendship. I'm trying to promote him, not accidentally get him cancelled 🙈. The social media waters are trecherous ones! The first part of the Tiktok i made got half a million views btw! The reception has been really positive, everyone is commenting super nice things about how Mika seems so kind and easy-going and everyone wants to be his friend as well. It's always nice to see how even those who aren't necessarily fans instantly recognise how sweet and genuine he is. There's just something about his overall vibe which really draws people to him, he always leaves a positive impression wherever he appears 🥰

Thank you! It's mainly about the interaction for me, so that does count haha. However I'm not entirely sure whether I should or shouldn't include the more controversial figures in an eventual Tiktok, idk if it would harm Mika's reputation. So no absolutely Macron, no Fanny Ardant, no Karl Lagerfeld, etc. not sure if Carla Bruni is any controversial, but idk if she's more famous for her career or for being Sarkozy's wife 😅. I personally didn't know her before she made her appearance on CasaMika

I've made a Tiktok showing some photos of famous people who Mika has hung out with, and it's doing quite the numbers, everyone really seems to love seeing this type of content. I included 12 celebrities in the first batch, notably: Blackpink, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Adele, Brian May, Taylor Swift, Kibum from Shinee, Ariana Grande, Ian McKellen, Dita von Teese and Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys. For a second part I've got Hamed Sinno from Mashrou Leila, Danna Paola, Kylie Minogue, Rufus Wainwright, Amy Winehouse, Fergie, Boyzone, Johnny Hallyday, Pharrell Williams, Sting, Clean Bandit, Eros Ramazzotti, Alan Cumming, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith, Jack Savoretti, Ben Stiller, Salma Hayek, Graham Norton, Monica Belucci, Laura Pausini, Harry Styles/One Direction and Damiano from Maneskin. That's already quite the list! But I was wondering if you all maybe know even more celebs who he has met? I'm mainly looking for celebrities which are internationally known and more or less relevant to millenials/gen z too, but it can be anyone, really. Honestly, I don't want to accidentally insult whoever created the lyric video, but I make edits on Capcut from time to time, and the way those lyrics appear on screen with that effect looks a lot like the effects you have on Capcut to create auto-lyrics 😅. You can simply put in any song and Capcut will transcribe the lyrics, though obviously if someone mumbles a bit the AI has trouble recognizing the words and just guesses something. I feel like that happened here too, with the grammar mistakes and strange sentences 😅. Either that or it was a French intern who really struggled with English, but in any case I think we can trust our own ears more than the "official" lyrics, as is often the case with Mika 😅😂
