I'm a pretty recent fan of Mika. Two months ago, the blind audition of Vincent Vinel randomly appeared on my facebook and I was so intrigued to see Mika there!
I have to admit, I did know him in his debut thanks to the huge success of his first album and I loved his songs back then but I completely forgot about him after that...
So I was like "Wait, is that Mika? When did he become a judge in the Voice? And more importantly, when did he get so hot? "

So I got curious and listened to his new songs, fell in love with Underwater, Last party, Talk about you, Stardust...Well, basically every songs of him I could find 

Then watched some episodes of The Voice and fell even more for his personnality, his facial expressions, his french mistakes when his talking, his coaching, his laugh... He's like a huge ball of cuteness! 
But I totally became a fan when I saw his interviews, his work and how skilled he is in making music but in art too, how passionate he is in every concerts and how he managed to stay so simple and kind despite his success. He's truly magnificent and such an amazing person. I hope I'll get the chance to go to one of his concert someday!
So that's it, i'm glad to rediscover him and to be part of this community! It's nice to see other people sharing the same enthusiasm!
Can't wait to learn more about him and about you too!

It's like his voice blends perfectly with the song, that's nothing more and nothing less than a magnificent, touching poem 

I really like the fact that he's concentrating on one artist per episode, even focusing on the relationship with other artists and the different versions of the songs!  

It's always a pleasure to hear this program, and it gets better every time! Can't wait to hear Joni Mitchell's episode next week 

Great news! Seems that we're gonna have some very nice Tuesdays in the next few weeks

I just registered on MFC en since I am a obedient girl, I'm coming to say hello.

 

I am a relatively new Mika fan, since about 1 year (already???). Obviously, I already knew about Mika before that (who don't since 2007....) but I wasn't particularly interested in him even if I knew and liked some of his songs.

 

Last year, I heard Boum Boum Boum and I loved this song so I did some research and was surprised to learn it was by Mika (At the time, I thought he only sang in English) and also to learn he was the author of Elle me dit that I quite liked too. But I still wasn't a fan.

 

That was just before the beginning of The Voice season 5 in France and knowing there was Mika in the jury and just being curious, I decided to watch the 1st episode. That was my end....I falled in love with his personality eccentric and lovable. Then, I decided to learn more about his songs. At first, I loved melodies and rhythms  (speaking of that, I have this strange phenomenon where, when I listen a new (or unknown to me) song by Mika, at first, I just kind of like it but the more I listen to it, the more I like it (ex: Origin of Love  , Underwater, Over my shoulder, I See You)...weird...). And then, I listened lyrics and discovered their poetry and sensitivity. That when I became a fan.

 

Since then, I have often lurked around here since you seemed to be the most reliable source of info on Mika but never dared to take the step of registering.

 

I think that enough chatting for the moment so I will stop there.

Hi everyone! I just joined the MFC today. My name is Gloria and I am American. I love to listen to music, draw, write, and dance. I only found out about Mika a year ago, but I am really happy it happened. Mika is a big inspiration to me and I love him a lot. He keeps me going and brightens up my day when things are tough I hope to make lots of friends here, at least we all love Mika here and that's something we all have in common lol...
