    I'm really in love with his work, and everything he does (The Voice France, Casa Mika, interviews on YouTube and on and on ...), and of course I'm really in love with the lovely person he is.
    Like many people told here, me too, I'm motivated to improve my skils in italian and in english to hear him in these languages.
    And one year late (better late than never) I received my MUMU clock from Swatch (my husband gift for my birthday in 25th June).
    I'd like to thank you all moderators for the birthday project that I could participate and give a donation yesterday, I'm really happy to be in this project with you all.

    I saw Mika 3 times:

    06/08/15 Rochefort

    03/10/15 Bordeaux

    19/07/16 Carcassonne

    I talked to him in Bordeaux, I told him he was my birthday gift (but I'm not sure if he heard that ??) he turned around to me and I said "because it's my birthday today" . I think he didn't really understand why I said that like this because he had not heard the beginning so he was a little surprised I think. He just gave me a smile and a "okay ??" ? but all the message was in his looks!  ?? really!  

     

    And in Carcassonne, I was dancing the Boum Boum Boum dance with 2 friends and he invited us to join him on stage. And the next day we saw him leaving his hotel with a hotel's car. We know that he will take his own car out of the city so we follow him (lol) running with flip-flops ?? no it's not true, at first we walked, after we began to run but we kept some meters between the car and us: we didn't want to be ridiculous ? we had sneekers and sandals. We lost the car. On the right there was a car park, we didn't see well. And on the left there was a street where there was a tall man (like mika)  with sunglasses (like mika) a blue cap (like Mika)  a blue tee-shirt (like Mika) close to a beige car (like the hotel's car)  so I chose to go on the left. My friend screamt me "he had a dark blue cap and a light blue tee-shirt not a light blue cap and a dark blue tee-shirt!! " (or the opposite... ?) but I didn't listen to her, I didn't even heard her...  And she was right because a woman with a stroller and a baby arrived close to the man. And the man wasn't Mika...  So we came back to the car park and we saw the black Range Rover and Mika inside leaving... ????????????? I was soooooooooooooo angry to me!!!!!!!!!! 

    That is my Mikadventures!  ?

     

    I like Mikadventures especially when they are funny ???? so I can't wait to read yours!  

     

    I don't know what can I say in more. Maybe I will edit my post later!

I'd like to learn either French or Italian (or both) to help me understand Mika more. I've been learning German for about 6 months now, which is useless in helping me understand Mika, but if anyone who speaks German would like to help me practice that would be great. 

     

    If any other musicians want to talk about nerdy music stuff especially in Mika's music, I'd love to talk!

    But how did I discover this amazing person and artist? 
    Well, the first time I really got into one of his songs was back when I was like 11 or 12. The "tradition" at my little village school was to prepare a big show for the end of every year, anyone could participate. On that year, I decided I'd dance with the other girls. To my pleasure, we were going to do it on Mika's song, "Elle me dit". (By the way I'm from the French-speaking part of Belgium so this explains that~) 
    God knows I loved it. I remember jumping like a mad cuckoo clock on a trampoline (That's the only comparison I could think of) on stage in front of my (probably ashamed) mother xD

    But then, I forgot about Mika... Of course when someone mentioned him I was like "ah yeah that guy" but I wasn't going to listen to any of his songs again anytime soon...
    BUT THEN
    The Voice (France) came in. It must've been in 2014 or 2015. And I began to love his personality and well, his cuteness when he makes mistakes in his sentences x)
    And then, when The Voice was over, I forgot him again xD (I'm awful, I know).
    BUT THEN
    2017 arrived. The new season of The Voice was gonna begin and I told myself "Hey, why not watch last year's season? There's Mika and Garou in it"
    Thank god I did that.

    I realised (again x2) how oblivious I had been to his awesomeness. And then, finally, I listened to his songs. Good lord are they amazing! 
    Of course it didn't stop there. Just last night I couldn't sleep because I had so many videos of him to watch x) I mean, really, he's cute! (I love his dogs btw)
    I also love hearing him speak in a bunch of different languages ~ I mean, I love languages in general so yeah ^^

    And uh, here I am!
    I swear I won't forget him again. Twice was enough x)

    I hope we'll all have a good time together ~ Don't hesitate to contact me even if it's just to make a bit of conversation, I'll be pleased to meet you =3 I speak French and English so either will be good ~

    Hi everyone, I'm Nat', I'm from France and currently leaving in Paris (I'm from south of France though). I'm here today cause I have to admit it to myself, this little Mika-obsession isn't going to pass anytime soon apparently...

     

    I knew his music a little, I even listened to his first album with joy back in the day but I was a casual fan (something I rarely am to be honest!), I listened to second one a little too.  I didn't know a lot about him as a person back then. After that, life happened, I was working on my PhD, then I move to Belgium blah blah blah: life was really busy. I remember having got quite the obsession on Stuck in the Middle when I'm thinking about it - it was the first sign of my upcoming doom.:lmfao:

     

    Anyway, a few months ago I was at work and I had like NO motivation at all, it was one of those days... you know the ones. I was going through my music library to find something to give me some life back and I saw the 2 first albums and I thought to myself that Mika was probably a good choice in this kind of situation: I pressed "play" without knowing what I just started...!

     

    Since then I rediscovered those albums - my english is a little better now (not perfect I know... sorry about that) and it is like a new experience. I listened to number 3 and 4 too and love them all for all sort of different reasons, slept too little because I was on youtube all night going through all things Mika, even watched The Voice for him and I'm still trying to teach myself how to recall all the italian I learned at school. In a nutshell, I didn't saw it coming but hey surprise: I have a new musical (and more) crush. Damn it.
