Just a random story – I watched a video on YT called "Artists you may have forgotten about" where Mika was mentioned. Somebody commented on it, that Mika isn't forgotten because there's this commercial with that guy changing colourful costumes along with the car which pretty sure features a Mika song...

I also think he has quite a lot of fans around the world even though the mass media cares about him mostly only in Italy and France... Even here in my country where apart from Relax, GK and HE none of his songs are played on the radio, there are quite a lot of fans, for example there are many people I know for completely different reasons but thanks to social media I found out that they like him and listen to his songs, some of them are even fans.
So the biggest difference is that he isn't on TV etc. in other countries but he is definitely not forgotten, he still has quite a lot of fans, it's just not that visible like in Italy and France where almost everybody knows him I guess... Btw, last week there was a show on a local Prague radio station here where they play songs from 2000s, they played Happy Ending and talked about him a bit, unfortunately they said he wrote the song because of homeless people in L.A. which isn't true but it was still nice that they mentioned him... I actually listened to the show just because of it, they wrote on Twitter that they are going to play the song and talk about it. It was at least nice to hear it on the radio.
