Vincent is in Florence again since yesterday, so I suppose they're rehearsing for pianocity. And Adam is in Milan, so hopefully we'll get videos! :crossed: :wub2: ... I wonder why they're rehearsing so much for this tiny gig - or were the April rehearsals for Cheltenham? I was thinking, maybe they're planning a livestream? That would be awesome! :fangurl: (tho I couldn't watch live, but it'd be so nice to get the whole gig on video, if it's so special)

For sure Adam will film something and post a tik tok video 📹😊

On FB someone asked if the event will be recorded by RAI but the organizers replied there will be no camera (at least for RAI TV)

Btw, I will be attending this event because a friend of mine (not MFC) managed to get a ticket but she doesn't want to go without her sister (the reservation was for only one person) so she asked me if I was interested (what a question 😅) and trasferred me her ticket.

Finger crossed for the weather. In Italy it's raining a lot🌧

I think that the concert will be indoor. That's why only 200 places.

I will not risk to spend 500 EUR for travel just to wait at the door...

Yesterday they told me that the audience will be standing on the lawn (prato)

So it seems to be outdoor (finger crossed for the weather)

But I can send another email to get more details...

I don't think Mika would request that, he surely would prefer more people. Maybe it's necessary for security reasons, as Mika isn't just some random piano artist but an international pop star, so the organizers don't know what to expect...

Maybe they can even let more people in on the day... I won't take the risk, but for those who live nearby it might be an option. :dunno:

I think Mika has interest in having as many people as possible, especially now that he has to promote the italian festivals. So it's likely that the organizers decided to keep a very small crowd.

I decided to go now, despite the bad seats and the VIP frontrows. Because I still have hope that there might be a chance to get better seats closer to the date (was the same with Cap Roig last year), or if not, Mika might still play a new song and/or have a chat with us after the show. 😊 Flights & buses booked, see you all there! :thumb_yello:

I am glad you are coming Karin!

    See you in Cheltenham 🇬🇧

    :wink2:

Thanks girls, you are so kind with your words. His repost made me very happy. I felt grateful and wished I could share and express it so I tagged him in one of my stories and thought he might or might not see it, we know how busy he must be. He reposted it soon after, it really warmed my heart.

Luckly you tagged him! So he was able to see your photo book and appreciate your work❤I am very happy for you.

Mika loved her photos from Coachella. He even posted some on Instagram.

So I think it was not a coincidence that he reposted this one story from 3 she posted today.

Photos are so beautiful in his transparent "tattoo" shirt!

He reposted the one where she tagged him but he probably saw her previous IG stories as well. And yes, he absolutely loves Nina's incredible photos, how couldn't he? They are stunning

I have also uploaded it to the MFC YouTube channel -- it's unlisted, but you should be able to see it with this link:

I'm not allowing embedding here, so if you want to see it you will have to click on the link, but there's no password.

Sorry, I couldn't trim off those first few seconds of commercials, try as I might. :mad3:

    Thank you so much Deb!

Yesterday evening I wasn't able to see the concert so I can watch it here

They do, but that's not the part he likes about it, for sure. There's a video somewhere from Rome of the Revelation Tour, where a girl puts her hand on his arm while he climbs across the barrier for Big Girl, and he visibly shakes off her hand. Not immediately, but she just kept her hand there, and it's clearly not what he wanted. Just treat him like a human being and don't do things to him that you wouldn't want strangers to do to you, that's exactly it, like @krysady and the others said. He's not a cuddly toy, or a toy boy.

If he dances in the crowd during Big Girl, you can also see in some videos that he tries to get away from people who touch him or are following him through the crowd. I see that like people dancing in a club, it also doesn't give you the right to touch them, even if they dance close to you. And a M&G is not a club or gig situation.

That, but I think he also does enjoy dancing among his fans and seeing how they look at him with love in their eyes, up close. As long as they treat him like a human being, like I just said. Anyway, I remember seeing him through the glass doors shortly before he went to meet fans outside in Paris, his first M&G after the pandemic. He took a deep breath. You could see, even from afar, that it wasn't easy for him to go out there. So it's not just going in the crowd at a gig, but also M&G's that are a risk and a challenge for him because he never knows how fans will behave. I'm glad that so far the good sides still outweigh the bad ones for him, and that he likes challenges. But that only works as long as the majority of fans treat him respectfully. And I especially would expect that from MFCers, because if we behave like any other random crazy fan group, why would he agree to do a M&G with us? It's rare enough that he does that, once every few years, and I fear that London might not have encouraged him to do it again anytime soon. :(

    Agree 100%

I would like to express my opinion because I find this topic quite relevant.

I think the key word is RESPECT. For him and among us.

As Karin said, Mika is first of all a human being and deserves respect like anyone else. He trusted us and accepted to do a M&G, which was quite a miracle if we think that we came from 2 years of pandemic. Of course we were all very excited but this doesn't mean that people are allowed to push him or push other fans around them in order to be under his nose. I don't even mention the part related to fans touching him because it's unacceptable and I read already many accurate replies about it.

When at the beginning he said "step back please " I felt bad because he almost couldn't breath and security had to make space around him. We are all grown-up people and he is not a puppy.

This was my first proper M&G as a Mfc member (not considering the meetings after gigs) and I hope there will be others in the future. I feel grateful for this experience and I hope to see always respect and generousity in our community, which are fundamental values.

Deb got some more info today, but she's very jetlagged because she only arrived this morning, so we'll have to wait 1-2 more days. Anyway there's no news about dress code, so I guess the info that people collected here, like no big logos etc., will have to do. I don't know if we have to watch for green etc., it's probably more like they're filming a concert and not a studio situation where they use green screens and stuff like that? Mika wrote that it'll be a "spectacular show", that's interesting to me, because I thought it would just be like a sophisticated classical concert with beautiful piano music, and not that much of a "show". Then again, thinking about it, you probably need a bit more than a piano and a few piano players to keep TV viewers interested. 🤔 And even if it's not a Mika show, he always wants to surprise people. He's making me curious. :teehee:

    Just 3 more days! :excite:

I am very curious to see this show!

Mika will do something special for sure, even if the time available for his performance will be short.

Cannot wait to see Mika fans and Mika of course :wink2:

If we're thinking of meeting up beforehand, there are a couple of cafes right there at Southbank Centre that might be good. Either the Hayward Gallery Cafe, or the Riverside Terrace Cafe. We can grab a sandwich or a drink and hang out, if it's not raining -- or maybe there's cover? In any case, I can be there from about 4pm on and see who turns up? Anyone?

    With pleasure Deb :thumb_yello:

    Thanks!

Good to know that they're "cash-free". I'm afraid after this trip, I'm going to be "cash-free" as well! :lol3:

And once I get to the UK, and I hear what's happening with ticket collection, I'll email all the ticket winners and share details -- as well as the exact location that I'll be waiting at and at what time!

Also, for those of you who obtained tickets directly from Southbank, but are now planning to use the tickets from MFC instead -- I've given the Southbank staff and a list, and they tell me that your original tickets will be automatically canceled and thrown back into the general pool, so they can distribute them to others. One less thing for you to have to worry about. :thumb_yello:

I think we'll be all cash free after London:lmfao:

Thanks Deb for everything you're doing to help us with the tickets. This is so appreciated :wink2:See you soon!

Actually, that and the fact that Deb considers coming, make me think that I should give it a try to carefully ask my husband if he'd take the kids for 2 days... 😅🙈 I wouldn't travel to London for 2 Mika songs - but for seeing @dcdeb again, after I missed meeting her in Rome due to the cancellations, that's a different story. :teehee: :wub2:

It would be amazing to see you in London Karin!

Actually this event comes unexpected so much more exciting! I didn't expect to see you all so soon:wink2:

I hope @dcdeb will be able to come as well!

Thanks for relaying the message, Karin. Yes, I've been told we'll be getting some tickets, just waiting on more details.

Well, supposedly this is a special allocation that Mika arranged just for fans, so I hope they're good seats. Or are all the seats general admission and you get what you get? :dunno:  I'll let you know as soon as I hear more.

Good to know Deb! Thanks for letting us know. I am thinking to go to London, to support Mika and to live a new adventure with my friends Mika-fans😍

I think Mika wants us close in the venue but maybe he cannot decide where exactly🤔...I don't know 😅

It's already a lot to have a ticket
