Hm, so where is he now and what is he getting ready for? 🤔 What country, even? Lol! Maybe back in the UK for whatever he is doing there? Maybe I should look back at that one interview earlier this year where he said he'd be spending one day in the desert, the next doing a gig, etc., I wonder if there are more hints in there. Anyone remembers which interview that was? The Cosmopolitan one maybe?

The room reminds me of his house in Milan.  But I seem to remember that he no longer has that house. ..? Max is heading to Italy but it seems it's for his own music.  At the same time now he doesn't seem to have anything concrete in Italy and could it be England?  Or will it be some promotion for the concerts in Italy in September? What a mystery!  I love this!

Well, I'm going to say a few words about the concert. As melody said, it was a great concert, not his best, maybe because his voice was not 100 percent due to covid, as he  said it. He talked a lot and sang, in my opinion, few songs. I missed songs from the album "No place in heaven" and he repeated the usual ones. Lollipop.BG Relax GK etc.. :sweatdrop: but with variations and with a lot of show included in those songs.I guess these are the songs that most people knew because when he sang "Tiny Love" or "Yoyo" some people around me didn't have a clue about those songs but despite everything, the crowd was very dedicated and made Mika happy and he showed it with his smiles and hitting his heart with his hand as a sign of gratitude. That was beautiful. :cloud:

The organization was lousy. People didn't stay in their seats as many people who had tickets behind us, stood up in front of the stage. After the concert we asked some of the security why they let people rush onto the stage and they told us that Mika had demanded that there be no security in the aisle in front of the stage because he knew his fans and they didn't need security. I don't know if that's true because sometimes security say one thing for another.

Anyway. I think one of the best moments of the concert was the m&g. He stopped to sign, we were able to talk to him, even though he was not at his best. I was able to exchange a few words with him and he told me, you know I like flowers. But this is another story that I am not in the mood to tell right now.

And finally I could meet some lovely MFCers I didn't know in person. @Prisca @Hero @crazyaboutmika@Roxane(although I don't remember her face now)  many others I didn't  know their names and also some other MFCers I did know from other gigs @mellody @Gabry74 . It was nice to see all of you.

He signed  me a Hofmann I have from Revelation Tour. The signature was not as beautiful as the last time he signed me, but considering that he stopped and talked to us not being very well is enough to say. THANK YOU MIKA!

Now I'm only waiting for the new tour with the new album and hoping he'll come back to Barcelona and Madrid.

Thank you for reporting your experience. A clarification, Mika says that he was sick but that he was'nt covid. That he already had it 4 times.

There were unpleasant comments about that subject on social networks.  People criticized Mika for being with the public if he had covid.  Therefore, I would like to clarify it.

Back home, so I can finally upload my videos!

Starting the show in the crowd, with Lollipop (making fun of the person who didn't recognize him, lol!):

    Talk during OOL:

Talk & 2nd part of Lollipop (after OOL):

Talk before BG (what was so funny, can someone translate pls?):

Making the crowd sing during Relax:

Talk & acoustic beginning of Yoyo:

Talk during Underwater, with fan on stage to translate. I think he asked in Spanish who speaks English - well obviously those who speak English but not Spanish didn't understand that, like me. Or probably also not the 2 lovely guys from Chicago whom I met in the queue for drinks shortly before the gig, they were on holiday in Spain (Hi if you're reading this! :bye:).

More talk during Underwater, also in French:

Happy Ending Little bit of love improvisation:

    Talk before EMD:

    Love Today intro:

And the other video of him thanking the crowd at the end of the show, see my previous post.

Thank you very much for the videos you posted on MFC.  I really like to see when he talks between songs and many times in the recordings that part is cut off.

    Talk before BG :

He says that it's the most difficult show of the winter.., he makes a mistake instead of saying summer. The public corrects him…summer…He says that he needs to speak in Spanish. He says ..needs to go to a very special place... And someone in the audience shouts out loud... Home... Mika laughs and says... Shut up you bastard! .. he repeats .. not home ... Then he says that we need to go to a place where everything is possible, where perfume is not a botanical garden, it's a place in California, a place where we can sing and dance with the people we don't know.

From what I understood in the twitter snippet, Mika said in the RFM interview that he'd be with the Berbers this week, to record the soundtrack, so I suppose that explains his silence... the desert has no Wifi. :teehee:

I also think that this week is there... because it's also a nice trip for a birthday present:yay:

Wow really? I thought he had dual citizenship with the UK.
That must be a hassle to get his VISA approved every time. Since I would assume he’s self-employed and doesn’t have a permanent residence in Europe, I’m not sure if he would be issued a work VISA (which country anyway 😆). I can imagine he has a repeated Schengen one then.

I also think the same, he's supposed to have dual citizenship.😆

It was an older interview where he said that he found himself literally crying into the hotel's lobby after he found out he has to give all the money he got from The Voice for paying the bill, I looked for the interview but couldn't find it.

Anyway, while I was searching it, I found another one where he said that his main house it is in USA, and he only owns an American passport, but at the same time he is feeling deeply European. That is one of my favorites french interviews and I was looking if it got subtitles, but couldn't find it, I thought it was translated back then. It really deserves, it is such an interesting one!  It's the RFM interview with Pascal Negre, he talks about his houses around min. 5:10

Thanks! This interview seems very nice, although I don't understand much.

It's weird about the passport ... I think there will be an interview where it says something different. 😂

I can't watch it now, but you make me curious. :biggrin2:

From what I heard, he doesn't have the homes in Milan and London anymore. I never heard that he owned a place in Paris, I only know part of his family lives there - tho I'm never sure which of their homes are rented or bought. Athens, for example - it seems Mika and Andy have 2 flats there now in the same house, but no idea if they're rented or bought. Same for Tuscany, I heard the house belongs to him, it belongs to his sister, or it's rented - no idea which is true. Sometimes there are ways to find out such things online, and fans who have a lot of time and energy to do that. I don't tbh, so all I know are rumours or things he said in interviews. And I don't know all of those either, plus we all know he sometimes contradicts himself. :teehee: So well indeed the only house that *I* know he owns for sure right now is the one in Miami.

It's difficult to know, but I am not talking about whether it is your own or a rented house. Your home can be a rented house. It's difficult to find the interviews now, and also surely they contradict each other. 😂. It's a new excuse to say that we need new interviews.

Also, I'm impatient to know what style your next album will have. Better not think about the time that will pass until we let's find out. 😆

I was wondering about this, since most of his siblings apparently live there now. Wasn’t Paris always his home in terms of where he felt he belonged more as opposed to London? In Paris him wearing bowties and colourful trousers would be celebrated, in London he would be bullied. I wonder if that had led the decision for his family to relocate to Paris, alongside Brexit maybe.

The reason why I’m wondering about this, is because we made a similar decision for our little family. We’re colourful in terms of multicultural, interracial and multilingual. We noticed that living where we lived, we were viewed as “strange”, whereas where we live now it is easier to find other families like ourselves. I don’t want my children to grow up thinking they are “strange”, but I want them to grow up with people just like them. I want them to be able to celebrate who they are. I could understand that for him and his family this would be important as well.

If I'm not wrong, from what he said in the interviews, He has a house in London, in Paris, in Miami, in Milan, in Tosacana. And in Athens is Andy's house. He always says that home is where he's with the people he loves and feels free. So it's difficult to know which house he calls home, I guess all houses are.

I understood that the last sentence was referring to the return to Europe. Didn't I get it right?

I don't understand how they didn't  ask him to explain the meaning, now we will never know for sure ... but I think that is how you say.

I was surprised by that interpretation of the song, because he said it was a song that her mother liked very much. So I didn't associate it with a gay couple, ...the lyrics and the interpretation ..now I understand why it is a special song for him.

Here is the Post Mortem after the Sunday show - a part where Lara Fabien discusses Mika's show with the students.

They were all impressed by what they have seen on the screen.

Well. they were laughing during Heroes - but what made them laugh was a huge red  bow on Lunou's head.

They laughed as well during I Can't Help Falling in Love - first for the big mushrooms in the background, second - for the faces Jacob and Guillaume had while singing. But Lara said that one of the profs (Arianne ) was crying. It was beautiful and poetic that both guys accepted to play the role of the gey couple. Which is not evident for everybody. Lara recalled a photo session where she posed with Eva Longoria in a "gey" photo session. So she knows how it is.

Looks like the mushrooms on the stage attracted attention of many people.

    Why mushrooms? asks Lara.

    Why mushrooms? ask students.

Well it looks like Lara knows the answer - but she told it only when the cameras were off

All in all the show will stay as a wonderful souvenir for all students.

In the future they will look at the video and say: This is how I started!

But Rosalie sad: oh, OK, I have this show  and in the future I will have a photo of me singing in the bar with 3 people in the audience. And I will say: This is how I started.:lol3:

With this I confirm my theory ... maybe I would have to say it in another thread ... but I believe that mushrooms are .... ice cream!😊😄

Ah, I didn't think of the travel restrictions, I didn't know they still were that strict. In Europe it's all for keeping borders open, and although there are some countries that are defined as virus variant areas, from which travel is prohibited, from most countries you can just travel here (at least to Germany, not sure if it's the same for all of Europe), if you keep to testing and quarantine regulations.

again this as a game 🕵... let's see what the next clue is and we find out where he is ...😂

One questions...and for work reasons no one can travel to the US?

Yes, he looks very handsome, but when he's so serious he's weird ... he always has a smile ... and he already seems strange when he's serious.😂

About the vaccine ... Can he get vaccinated in the United States? If he waits for a notice to be vaccinated, what country will he get? what madness! If he's from country to country ... well, less now,...but he will have to be registered in a specific country. Will that country remain England even though he hasn't lived there for a long time?

It's always like that with Mika :aah:

Probably there are more levels on that building, the annoying neighbor with the piano and Mika's apartment could be on different floors. But you're right, when it's a written interview, mistakes can occur for different reasons, a video interview it is much more reliable. And I'm sure that we will hear more details about his lockdown in Greece in the future, maybe even some songs inspired by that period, who knows :teehee:

I found the other interview where it is sweeter when he talks about the days in Greece:

Oui, je me suis reposé quand j’étais à Athènes.

Have you still been able to rest a bit in the past year?

Yes, I rested when I was in Athens. When the pandemic first started, I was in Australia. Then my shows in Asia got canceled, and everything fell. So I returned to Europe. My partner is Greek, and he did not have a Green Card to enter the United States. Italy being closed, so we decided to spend a few months in Athens. It was a great time in which I was able to spend time with my lover, Andreas. During confinement, we were allowed to go out only to play sports. So every day I was going to run around the Acropolis. I lived the spring and the Orthodox Easter in Greece. These good times of calm that I spent with my lover allowed me to reprogram my brain.

But you decided not to resume your tour after the pandemic and move on, why?

Because in a year my album has gained ground. Since then, so much has happened in my life that I now want to get involved in writing new material. Right now, I want to cultivate the euphoric and improbable side of life

I love it. This is like a detective game! In that interview, it isnt right that he has unplaced boxes if he has that floor since last year... And what happened to the neighbor at the piano? Could it be the journalist's mistake when transcribing the interview? I still think I remember that there is another more recent interview that tells the same thing but it seems like a sweeter story. It can also be difficult to find the correct version ... its an interview .. and with Mika you never know, ... you remember when he said he had a bus and traveled with a lot of dogs .. that interview was so funny.Lol

Mika is used to a hectic pace of travel and work. I understand that the most difficult thing would be to be locked up at home and not so much the problem of who you are with.

In another interview, he said something about the first 15 days and that afterwards everything went well. I don't remember if it was in an interview in France or in Canada.

: wink2:

Last year he said there was a neighbor who played the piano. I think it was this year that he rented the top floor to be his studio. I think it's the one we saw while painting formó Paris,?. It didn't look the same as when he cooked the last year.

No solo estar solo ...

about the dates ... I understood that he talks about a moment where they had been together for 14 years. Now 15 years ago and in September of this year it will be 16 years.

And about the first 15 days that they were alone and in confinement ... its wonderful that the situation was solved only in 15 days and then they were fine. After the months that we all live in confinement, it is easy to understand that you could go crazy.

I was referring to the fact that they arent separated for that long either, during the album's promo period, the concerts ... Andy was with him all the time.

In short, what counts is the truth of life as a couple, no matter how well you get along, each person needs a space.

He also talked a bit about the Versailles show and his mom.

The beginning was about Star Académie, how everyone loved his number and why he chose to do it... which lead to him expressing his love of Quebec and why (first arena show he ever did was at Bell Center in 2008 and his OSM shows)

about Andy, he said that the first ten days i. athens were horrible, because it was the longest time in a while they were together alone and I guess it took some times for everyone to adjust to it... but that a lot of people were in the same situation back then 😉

But he is exaggerating and joking. We all know that Andy accompanied Mika to his concerts everywhere and they were together when everything was canceled.

I love it when he talks about the Versailles concert...And this suit is perfect!

It's like he's giving us little riddles so we won't get bored, hehe. :teehee: Maybe he'll show us a bit around the house during the next week? As he talked about songwriting, I wonder whether he has a piano there, and maybe even some recording equipment. Or does he use his tablet for it?

Anyway his stories make me smile. Him saying "see you later" to the fries is just too cute and funny! :roftl: :wub2:  And they look delicious. It's like a mini cooking with Mika, sort of like a cartoon strip version of it. Just the singing & dancing is missing. :teehee:

I was curious to know if they brought him the food or if he had to make it himself.

It seems like a strict quarantine without any contact with the outside. It means that he washes his clothes, ... cleans the house ...:teehee:

Aww, don't forget though, he is a private person who can appreciate solitude. After the last few difficult months he's probably enjoying some peace and quiet. He'll be loving the sounds of nature - the bird song, the babbling stream, the drip of the melting snow in the sunshine... he's got music and TV and books to keep him company for now. It's only a few days to go. And if it gets too much, he can always hop on insta for a live chat with us idiots! 😉

I think Mika doesn't like to be alone. He said it in several interviews. But as Mika is an optimistic person, he will be living it in the best possible way. Today with calls, video calls, ..., it isn't  like being alone and without communication with anyone. I love the idea of an insta for a live!! :groupwave:
