  1. Also, when Mika goes through the crowd during Big Girls, he is only coming close to us, because we are all standing so close to eachother that there is hardly room for him to pass (yes, he passed by me during a concert as well) - especially approaching the barrier. I am convinced that if he could choose to leave the crowd/fans their personal space, he definitely would. In this regard, I don’t think we can compare him coming too close to us during a concert, to fans coming too close to him during a M&G.
  2. It is not badly meant; but when it is received as something uncomfortable for him, he will not be inclined anymore to be as generous with us like last time in London.
  3. I agree with the entire post, especially this part. We all have our personal space, Mika is no different. And we need to understand that we are complete strangers to him, although we may feel very familiar with him and his work. He is not obligated to do these M&G’s at all and he does them, because he still feels comfortable enough with his fans. Last week in London you could tell by his reaction (when fans were closing in on him), that he wanted to create distance and asked everyone politely to push back (twice).
  4. It’s Sunday and he could be anywhere by now! I think he did some yoga on the balcony of his hotel in Paris, had some filtered coffee, hopped on a plane and has a very important appointment with a high end chef on how to make his favourite pasta! From scratch! All the while he is trying to get a stubborn curl or two to behave. (It’s a theories thread, right? )
  5. See @mellody, I don’t hide behind your back on purpose, I’m just short like @virgi!!
  6. This was really so sweet. He truly keeps the gifts he receives. Even uses them! Those must’ve screamed out of pure surprise and joy when they saw the IG story with the apron
  7. I can absolutely confidently say that him not reacting on social media fortunately does NOT mean that he 1) didn't receive it, 2) doesn't appreciate it When I look at older interviews I think (or actually: we all know this, he has made it very clear ) Mika is not very fond of social media, so I understand completely that he rarely uses that platform to form a response. For us fans, it's unfortunately the only way of "communication" with him, unless of course you see him during a M&G. I think he just values a personal response much more. In the end we all do. They are just very rare, since we don't see him every day! And then of course, there is also the non-response and the response where he leaves everything open for interpretation Like him letting us guess where he is! So now is the question.. Where is he and what is he doing? We are back at square one! Well not completely square one, there is one festival date where we assume he will turn up. I will just also assume we can expect many more dates in the (near) future. For some reason I think this is the calm before the storm and I'm all for it
  8. Yes true, so it's good it was a Live Photo, that way his movement was captured and it still came out fine for both cameras! I would say he has a lot of experience with this lucky for Kasia that the production person had the Live setting on. Didn't you also have a selfie with him? I think I saw you as well in a group selfie shot.
  9. Hahahahaha look at that confused/surprised look on his face, looking at a different camera than the rest (except for you @Kasia Mousa )
  10. Ahhhh I am so glad the little boy managed to get an autograph!! He was so excited, waiting in front of the door where Mika would come out. So sweet he also got Langlang‘s autograph. I am very happy for him!!!
  11. I have watched the videos from different perspectives and I have to agree with you - it was insane how the crowd was closing in on Mika as soon as he came out. I must have been in a dead corner on the right side (from Mika‘s perspective on his left side), because there was a LOT going on and I was out of the line of fire. I’ve noticed that the security staff is usually there when Mika comes out. They start out protecting him/making way for him (for example when his car needs to go through), but then at some point either he or his manager tell them to step aside. The only time there wasn’t any security was when he came out of his hotel (which happened to be next to the venue) in Carcassonne - fortunately it wasn’t necessary. In my opinion, the best crowd control would be to set up gates and let security be there to manage in case of it escalating. This way no one has the possibility to run up to him, which ultimately ensues chaos. However, this setup was not possible in the Royal Festival Hall and Mika so far feels safe enough with us fans… I really hope we can keep it that way.
  12. This few days were amazing. The weeks leading up to were already very exciting, because we knew we would see eachother again and make memories. Also, this time of year London is getting ready for Christmas, which personally is my favourite time of year - because of all the lights and decorations around the city. Just to name the countries where all fans were from on top of my head: UK, US, Finland, Poland, Bulgaria, Rumania, Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. (Please let me know if I have forgotten a country!!) Although I know we all know this and this is oddly and funnily completely normal to us, I always find it impressive and astounding. I am always in awe when I hear 3-4 languages at the same time in our group. It’s really something special. We can’t say anything about the contestants. I however can say that the show is definitely worth a watch, especially the final. We only saw snippets of the weeks leading up to it. But it is really well put together and it’s something I would definitely want to watch as soon as it will air. Deb came up to everyone before the recording started and told us that Mika would meet us after the show. This lifted everyone’s spirit even more! And as you can tell from the videos online, he truly took his time. There was some pushing when he came out to greet us, but he quickly told the security personell around him in a kind way “that it was ok” and Mika then kindly asked us to make some room. This shows us that he trusts his fans. I was 3rd or 4th row to the side where there wasn’t a lot of pushing, so I don’t know what was going on in the back. But after he asked us to do so it seemed to calm down after that. (Until he left, there was a lot of commotion again.) Afterwards we all made our way to the bar in the lobby. It was a big lobby, so lots of room, and it’s also the main room to make your way to the general exits. Mika was there briefly and was greeted by friends and some fans. I observed the scene from a distance (as I was holding my own drink, not anyone else’s this time ) and just thought “well, at least I can say I was (we all were!) in the same bar as Mika, that’s pretty cool.” Saying goodbye is hard after such eventful and truly special days. But somehow I feel we are going to see eachother real soon!!
  13. Then Claudia Winkleman will go “Is this normal? Do you usually come from all over the place and speak 7 languages at the same time!?” Us: “Yes.” Mika: *nods in agreement*
  14. At the airport to catch my flight to London! See you soon everyone!! I can’t believe I will see you all so soon already ❤️
  15. It seems to be the case and he’s enjoying himself, that’s great! Who knows, we might bump into him on the street the coming days? 😎
  16. Oh my. We will break down the house won’t we 🙈 (Just kidding, of course we won’t! Look at us being able to compose ourselves during the philharmonic concerts )
  17. Because we are used to see him from that perspective we are all shorter!
  18. Yes! His singing lessons seem to be in interesting conditions. Either in beautiful places (his house in Florida, this hotel in London) or specific wardrobe (without shirt in Monaco)
  19. If even Mika has to run back with his long legs I am sure that room is HUGE
