Mika's website links to Seetickets, with the ticket buying link for Manchester. The last few days when I looked, the link led to Seetickets but to a page not found site, seems they've fixed that now and you get the overview of all the Mika shows on Seetickets. And actually Seetickets is a well-known ticket provider in the UK, I think. Mika actually did the 2010 tour MFC presales through Seetickets (which went a bit wrong, as international fans had to pick up those tickets at the box office at the time when the doors opened ... luckily times have changed and e-tickets are available everywhere now). So I think if someone really wants to find tickets, they should be able to.

Manchester now seems to be sold out on Seetickets as well (there is now a waiting list). :original:

    Brussels :)

I wouldn't consider it a huge venue, but definitely more people than in Tarvisio

It doesn't necessarily depend on how big the venue is, but whether Mika feels like coming out that day or not. In Amsterdam and Berlin he will probably come out because he hasn't been there for so long. In Brussels he might come out and maybe not, as @mellody wrote, you can never be sure. :original:

But only 5 months from now, we'll get the chance to see him again!! I'm asking everyone who usually stays after a concert: what are the odds of seeing him? I mean does he come out to greet fans or to sign things after almost every event (even if it's only a few minutes) or is it a rare occasion? Based on your stories, he does this most of the time, but I'm not sure :)

So, "experienced Mika fans", what do you think?

It depends on which concert you are planning to go to? At some places there will be a higher chance that he will greet the fans and sign things after the concert. Where are you planning to go? :original:

This is what I had in my mind, but I couldn’t word it as eloquently as you just did, so thank you! It’s for a non-French speaker quite easy to make mistakes with the liaisons. Especially when they are not consonant dependent but pronunciation dependent

Yes, and I also wondered for a long time why they are called "aspiré" and "muet", because I don't hear aspiration in the "aspiré" either. Today I finally looked it up and the h "aspiré" is not pronounced by most French people. I'm glad I'm not deaf. :lol3:

  5. Then I will also add my two cents:

This is not an exeption ....because "H" is a consonant, not a vowel.:wink2:

Yes, H is a consonant, but there is the "h aspiré" and the "h muet".

In modern French, the initial "h" is generally aspirated for words of Germanic origin and silent for words of Latin origin.

    7 hours ago, carafon said:

Btw for the same reason " L 'harcèlement , DE L ' harcèlement "or "D'harcelement" are wrong

We have to say  " LE harcèlement " or " DU harcèlement "

Yes, but when the h is silent, it is written "l'", so "l'homme", "l'heure", "l'histoire" or "l'hopital". So, for example, it's also "les hommes" and that's where the liaison is made and it sounds like "lezomme".

But "héros" has an aspirated h, so no liaison is made, so "mes héros" is pronounced as "me ero". No wonder Mika made this mistake.

And I'm going to hell for correcting a French. :nervous:

For siblings, I also found "fratrie", which is also used, but perhaps in writing rather than verbally.

And would also be too short for the line in the song and not very nice either, if you ask me.

There probably will be some more mistakes in French on the album, as Mika says he didn't want to pretend to be French but write the songs the way he writes them in French, with mistakes and all.

Yes, but as far as I know, Doriand helps him and then the lyrics should be right in the end and Mika also sings it correctly. But careless mistakes always happen...

I keep seeing the same 2 seats for Manchester since Monday. :dunno: Has anyone tried buying them? Maybe they're like the ghost tickets for Bercy, that kept showing up but you couldn't buy them.

I see 1 ticket right now. I clicked on it. It seems to be possible to buy the ticket. Most people probably don't think to look for tickets at Seetickets?

He's probably busy rehearsing his Rugby final performance (that's some time in October, isn't it?), I suppose it'll be another HUGE thing like his previous Rugby performance with the heart shaped stage. Will the stage be blooming this time, maybe? :lol3: Anyway, I miss him... just a little "Yo" or something?

Or maybe he's in the UK, filming for The Piano and that's why he can't post, to keep it secret. Pfft, we really need an alternative to Twitter, where you can just write a little text, without an image or video. Not that that'd mean Mika would actually do it, but at least then he COULD. :teehee: I can relate that he's not using Twitter much anymore. If Meta doesn't make Threads available in Europe anytime soon, maybe we'll have to go back to Facebook. :dunno: Or write text in IG stories - tho that always looks a bit cheap, with the backgrounds and fonts they offer. Anyway I've started to get used to the thought that I'll eventually leave Twitter. Elon is just unbearable.

In recent years, The Voice has always had two live shows (semi-final and final) in May. If it's going to be the same next year, Mika will have a few more weeks to do something else in April/May. If I have to guess, I guess Mika will continue his tour after Dublin and before The Voice. But where? Italy, Spain, would he go as far as Quebec before the Voice? If so, I guess Mika will be in touch soon and then again with a flood of stories and posts. 😅

For Manchester I still saw a few tickets on Seetickets today. The only one that I saw officially confirmed as sold out by the venue so far is Dublin. But it surely is only a matter of time til more are confirmed.

Honestly, I get lost with all these ticket providers. 😅

    Hello from Belfast!!

My name is Emily and I am a MASSIVE Mika fan who hails from Northern Ireland.

I have been a Mika fan for so long that I can't even remember when I became one! 🙈 I do remember sitting on my kitchen counter listening to Life in a Cartoon Motion for the first time. It became a favourite to listen to in the car when I was heading to primary school.

I have searched high and low for a mailing list or somewhere to mingle with Mika fans and I am so happy I found this place!! I have been welcomed with open arms and I feel like I have finally found a home.

I saw Mika in Belfast all those years ago (if anyone even remembers when it was 😅) and ever since I've waited for him to come back. I can't wait to share this experience again with my sister!

I cannot wait for the years of memories and fun I am about to have here!!

    Peace and love,

    Emily x

    Welcome Emily :bye:

Really happy for you that you found this place. :original:

Because I know from my own experience that it is not so easy to find your way around the website in the beginning, I am posting a link below that should help you:

It did help me a lot. :original:

I checked earlier and there were still a few seats on the upper level. They've gone fast!

    Happy for Mika!

This is the gig I would have chosen since the date and flight cost ( from Naples) were more feasible for me. But I'm still hoping for a date in Italy.

I am pretty sure that Mika will also come to Italy during his tour. :original:

    Really? 3 hours?

I remember we had being already preparing a line for the security check.

On my email I have 4:15pm (but I don't know if I see CET time or London time)

I think we were in that queue around the barriers from about lunchtime.

My e-mail says 4:06pm, I think it's CET, so that would have been 03.06pm, so even 4 hours before doors opening.
